Ankhar was still recovering his senses when the piercing wail sets him completely alert again. Once he sees the snakelike figure moving towards Rondar he grips his sword with both hands and charges the monster once more, hoping to be luckier this time...
20, not considering any modifiers (if any) for the charge.
Unseen servant has just gone nuts and I can't see the results of my damage roll. I will check that again later...

Everyone first sees this! ^^^^
Rondar "dives" but instead of shadows he finds water! Everyone's eyes are drawn to the door after Rondar's splash.
There, in the broken doorway bobbing and hissing is the large serpentine creature bearing the somewhat deformed head of a human woman. She is taking a few moments to survey the room.
Intentions? I will take Nuonne and Ankhars actions as already stated.
Kraden, with a profound force of will is able to act this round.
Also, if someone would please roll initiative?
Everyone will be within 30' of the Naga but remember move is reduced to 1/3 from the water and please roll a d20 if you are going to cast a spell.

Just to clarify, Nuonne is targeting the eyes... it worked so darn good last time!

Initiative for the party:
1d6 → [5] = (5)

When Kraden comes into contact with the icy water, he snaps awake, all of his senses slamming back into him. Whether it's from the sheer fright and dread of seeing the naga or the hightened level of adrenaline coursing through his body, the young ranger calls out at the evil snake-queen, hoping to distract it so his companions can get the drop on it.
"Aagghh! Leave my friends alone you she-devil!"
Kraden will try to draw his other hand axe (I'm assuming his primary one is still in the hallway where he was slept by the naga) and prepares to defend himself.

(ooc: drat! At 1st level, Etruna's Faerie Fire spell won't cover a creature of this size.)
Seeing the serpentine creature, Etruna silently prays, "Mortaya, protect us." as she pulls out her sling and casts a sling bullet at it.
Attack with sling at large creature. To hit: [1d20] = 17; Damage: [1d6] = 5+1

Round #1
Dark words begin to issue from the fanged maw of the naga as everyone acts.
Ankhar begins to push his way through the water but the struggle of it makes for slow going,
Viscata moves toward the naga at Ankhar's side.
Nuonne begins to raise a prayer to Dyleus but falters as his teeth chatter from the cold water (The d20 roll was vs constitution and you had a +4 bonus, you needed a 15 or less).
Etruna gets out her sling and begins to whirl it.
Rondar is hiding in the water.
Kraden readies himself.
Halmod from his position begins to speak foreign words of magic with his hand stretched towards the chanting Naga.
We have a simultaneous situation
Ankhar reaches the naga, looking up at her he begins to swing his sword as a powerful webbing issues like a breath weapon from her mouth, blowing over his head and into the room. At the same time Ankhar's blow falls the sling stone from Etruna's hits. Both strikes make a sound as if hitting steel. The force of Ankhar's blow knocks the naga back into the hallway. Viscata is unable to strike as Ankhar and sword cover the doorway. Viscata actually missed.
Nuonne, Kraden, Etruna, and Halmod will need to make saving throws from the web spell. You will get a +4 to this save. If you succeed you are able to drop down into the water and not get caught in it.

this round rondar is going to burst up out of the water and strike.
My hope was to get a surprise backstab attack.
to hit
http://www.unseenservant.com/Default.as ... one&id=900
15 +1 for strength = 16
if I get the surprise +4 then it is a 20
This is all considering if I don't get to keep my natural 20 roll from earlier
damage
http://www.unseenservant.com/Default.as ... one&id=901
4 + 1 for strength = 5
if I get the surprise double damage 9

OOC: Do I lose the spell, or can I try again?

I will say your d20 roll prevented you from being hopelessly charmed by the naga.
Roll a d12 for your attack damage.

Kraden is caught completely unaware as his concern for his compatriots keeps him from noticing the impending doom that is coming towards him...
Saving throw for Kraden:
1d20 → [1] = (1)

OOC: oh bloody hell!

Poor, poor Kraden...

There was a little confusion here. I thought he was holding a shield but he hit with his bastard sword in two hands!
He seriously knocked the Naga back into the hallway. Poor Naga...

Round #1 conclusion.
Halmod is trapped in the secret room by the webbing but he did make his saving throw so he isn't caught in it.
Etruna and Nuonne were able to duck under the water and are not stuck in the web. They swim forward enough to the door where the naga is and can act normally in round #2.
Sorry Nuonne you began to release the magic of the spell in order to cast it. The cold water was kind of like being struck while casting.
Kraden unfortunately is hopelessly caught in the web and unable to do anything in his weakend condition.
The naga has been slammed back into the hallway from Ankhar's amazingly powerful blow.
For what is worth she is highly intelligent and the dumbest thing should could do is jump into a room full of steel wielding adventurer's. So she isn't going to do it.

Round #2 Intentions
In order to reach the naga characters will have to climb the 3' shelf into the hallway. There is 10' of space to fight in and I will allow that much space required to attack.
Viscata intends to climb into the hallway and pursue the naga.
Someone roll initiative please?
Everyone but Kraden and Halmod may act.

I will assume you make the 3' climb and engage the naga in the hallway?
