"This is not the way out," says Agax, deadpan. He shuts the door and you retrace your steps.
The door from the brazier room has closed. Opening it, you see that the room is as it was when you left it. The iron statutes stand still in their alcoves, the sands of the hourglass above the center of the room hang suspended in the upper bowl, and all the doors except the one you just opened are closed.

Re: 11. Beneath the Castle
Bragar- So we need to unlock the doors as we did last time? He begins to head to the statues. Well I will be climbing up the staues again. We got too get the stones into the braziers before the sand on the hour glass run out. Some else needs to climb up the other statue.

Agax Gryyg, game mage:
The dreaming wizard held the door open as Bragar and Gragog scaled the statues.
"Brave Petyr, Gracious Bogdana, would you please be so kind as to check the other door, in case the rules have changed?" asked the game mage.

Agax holds the door open while he asks Petyr and Bogdana to check the others. "Won't budge," says Peytr of the doors he checked. Bogdana reports the same of the south door.

Re: 11. Beneath the Castle
Gragog shrugs "I don't think I have the skill to do this climbing without a rope. Granted I have rope but I have no way of anchoring it so that it can aid my climbing this statue."

Re: 11. Beneath the Castle
The sands are not running.
Re: 11. Beneath the Castle
Agax Gryyg, game mage:
"If the rules of this deathtrap are unchanged, the sands should begin pouring once I close this door. I'll wait until you summit and can see the palms of the statue's hands," Agax smiles. "You almost had it that time, Bragar."
The gamesmith leads the mindless shells into the room with his free hand.

Bragar's second attempt to climb the statute also results in a fall that dispels his imaginary armor (3 HP absorbed by phantom armor; armor dissipates), but the third time is the charm. He clambers to the top of the iron statue's head and looks at the palms of its upturned hands. Each contains a large gem. In its right hand is a black onyx about four inches in diameter. In its left hand, a pale white opal of about the same size as the black gem stone.
Agax waits to hear the plan before closing the door.
