Chapter 11: Anxiously Contemplating the Hobgoblins!
Re: Chapter 11: Anxiously Contemplating the Hobgoblins!
Dungeon Master:
Ok the creature at the back of the room apparently took off.
The Hobgoblins in the room appear to all be dead now.
There are 2 torches on the ground near center of the room burning something.

With combat appearing to be over Maya will see if she can help Borum extinguish the flames from the torches.
Life is a roller coaster, if you don't stop to enjoy it then you may as well not even ride.
Re: Chapter 11: Anxiously Contemplating the Hobgoblins!
Dungeon Master:
A few heaps of cloth & furs in the middle of the room seem to serve as beds for the hobgoblins.
You all notice the large room is bare except for the bedding & the fact that all the furnishing seems to have be stacked near the far wall.
You can just make out the top of a closed door in the top north west corner, almost hidden behind the clutter of boxes, barrels, smashed furniture & loose debris stacked in front of it.
It appears possible to smother out the flames with the other beddings that have not yet caught fire.

Dungeon Master:
Only the Hobgoblins died in that battle!
However i think i see your confusion:
Hobgoblin #1: [HP: -3 / 7] [Long Sword: 4 HP: Maya] [Crossbow Bolt(PBR): 6 HP: Mort] [Dead]
Bardiche: To Hit: On Maya: [1d20] = 3 This is a Miss!
It of course says Dead right next to Mort's successful crossbow bolt attack stat block on Hobgoblin #1.
The other stat block shows Maya's successful Long sword attack.
Below all that was Hobgoblin #1's last Bardiche attack which was on Maya.
Perhaps i should move the [Dead] to right after the HP stat block?!
Mort is not dead just the Hobgoblin!

Borum proceeds to push the other bedding ontop of the lit bedding to smother the flames.
Wexley takes a swig of his water and pours the rest on the biggest piece of bedding and throws it over the fire.

Ewat picks through the debris while Idonea inspects the door.

Mort starts looting the dead hobgoblins.
Kormak guards the room from out in the hall. "Hey don't forget to cut of their heads Mort."
Mort looks up at Kormak as he speaks. Smiles and nods but does not do as Kormak asks. "Sure old friend. I'll save that task for you." then he sets back to the looting.

Dungeon Master:
On the 4 Hobgoblins themselves you find:
HG1: Gold: [2d10] = 15 Silver: [3d10] = 15
HG2: Gold: [2d10] = 8 Silver: [3d10] = 14
HG3: Gold: [2d10] = 12 Silver: [3d10] = 19
HG4: Gold: [2d10] = 11 Silver: [3d10] = 16
The rest of the stuff in the room is just junk or similar to what you found in the Goblin Guardroom.
The rest recover arrows & axes.

Idonea is inspecting the NW door, but only visually. Ewat is going through the debris piled up in front of it.
Re: Chapter 11: Anxiously Contemplating the Hobgoblins!
Dungeon Master:
Idonea's Visual Inspection of the door shows nothing out of the ordinary. From this side it appears to have no lock, just a handle & obviously opens inward.
Any Thieve's checks at/on the door?
Ewat finds that barrels & crates contain the usual beer, wine, & grain, or humanoid clothing.

Mort "Found no traps take it or leave it the North West door has been cleared by at least me. If there are traps they are beyond my ability." he informs anyone near the NW door Ewat and Idonea at least listened he hopes.

Borum looks to Mort" could always open it with some rope, if your not too sure. It opens inwards right?"
