Is there a secret DM tome of spells I can peruse? Just noticed a few unusual spells in Slavel's arsenal...

I made those up from Jack Vance sources. I don't have druid ones :( but if you come across interesting druid spells let me know.

I could give you all the interesting druid spells you need. I have the complete encyclopedia magica as well as the complete collection of the wizards and priests spell compendiums.

Here is just a couple spells;

Druid's Decay

Level: 3
Range: 30 yds.
Components: V,S,M
Casting Time: Instantaneous
Area of Effect: 1 Dead Creature or 10cu. ft. of dead plant material
Saving Throw: Special

Upon casting this spell, the caster can cause a single dead creature to decompose into dust. Alternatively, the spell can decompose 10 cubic feet or less of dead plant material., including objects made of wood. Items or constructions made entirely or partially of plant material( such as wood) must make a successful item saving throw Vs. lightening or be destroyed. An item worn or held by a creature is unharmed unless the owner fails a saving throw Vs. spell; Upon failure the item must save Vs. lightening or be destroyed.
This spell doesn't affect living matter. A single corporeal undead creature of up to 10 HD can be destroyed if it fails a saving throw Vs. death magic. The spell cannot affect noncorporeal undead(ghosts, shadows, wraiths, etc.) or undead with more then 10 HD.
The material component is the druids holy symbol.

Druid Sight

Level: 2
Range: 150 yds.
Components: V,S,M
Casting Time: 3 rds.
Duration: 2 Hrs. + 1 turn/level
Area of Effect: 1 animal
Saving Throw: Special

By means of this spell, the druid is able to see through the eyes of another animal and perceive things as that animal would. Familiars and polymorphed or shapechanged creatures are not subject to this spell. Animals on friendly terms with the druid, such as companions, pets or summoned animals, require no saving throw. Normal animals receive a normal saving throw Vs. spell. The subject animal can be commanded telepathically to scout, or stand guard at distances up to 100 yards plus 10 yards per level of the caster.
The material components for this spell are a bit of food desirable to the animal.

Hope those help Calto out. That is if the GM allows them. I tried to pick to useful spells that were not over the top powerful. The second spell Calto could actually use right now with the baboon/Mandrill!

Druid's Decay and Druid's Sight can be added to Calto's selections. Thanks Synth.

Nice. Druid sight would go well with my new monkey friend (assuming he's not about to get hit with a blowgun).

Coleridge you should pray for Druids Decay before we enter this ruined temple, if you can cast spells of that level. Odds are there is some type of undead in this ruined temple, it's pretty hard to see us not running into some. The Druids decay can instantly destroy 1 undead creature up to 10 HD. IT'S WORTH BRINGING FOR THAT FACT ALONE.

Druids are great in the jungle! So far the dice gods have been with the party, as I lost all savage initiatives and a majority of to-hit rolls. Though with the good uses of spells thus far I'm not sure it would have made too much of a difference.

Yes. This is really fun so far. Great DM, and we have pretty decent teamwork as a party for (at least in my case) never having played together before.

I have a feeling that we are going to need to bring our "A" game to the Shrine.

Guys, before we rest -- Should we secure this top room? I still have several rounds left in my detect magic and detect snares/pits spells to go that I'd hate to just lose.

I'm thinking we should secure this area/investigate that altar, and then rest. Anyone want to weight in?

I agree with this. Maybe the thieves should search it too.

I am traveling for business through Monday. Please NPC Siavel - he will not hesitate to use the Porter spell to carry oil and flame, or acid, to burn away the moss.
