As the arrow grazes his shoulder Elusev takes a half step back and lets loose an arrow at one of the kobolds, already knocking another to fire.

Elusev's Arrow Hits Kobold #3 for 2 Hit Points of Damage!

Jerks keeps an eye back up the stairs for a rear attack.

Procyon hurls his spear toward the nearest goblin.

Spear 'To Hit' Roll: [1d20] = 13 ; Damage: [1d6] = 1 S/M; [1d8] = 8 L

Dungeon Master:

Procyon's Javelin would hit the same Kobold #3 that Elusev hit for 1 HP & the Kobold is still standing!

Teladrin fires two arrows at the uninjured kobold (#4?).

Bow (Short Range) To Hit: [1d20+5] = 16+5 = 21, Damage: [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4
Bow (Short Range) To Hit: [1d20+5] = 2+5 = 7, Damage: [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2

OOC: Not sure of the scale of the map but range looked to be greater than 30' so I used short range

Yep! that would be Kobold #4, & he drops to the floor!

The party is coming upon 2 doors now, the east one appears to be open.

What do you do? remember 1 Kobold still up at end of hallway.

Elusev fires off two more arrows at the remaining Kobold, looking to down the creature so they can proceed on.

Teladrin also fires another pair of arrows at the lone kobold (with equally mediocre results).

Bow (Short Range) To Hit: [1d20+5] = 3+5 = 8, Damage: [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2

Dungeon Master:

Before that 2nd Volley of arrows went flying Kobold #3 fired off a shot at Elusev & Hit:
[1d20] = 18

For Damage of: [1d4] = 1

One arrow each from Elusev's & Teladrin's 2nd Volley strikes it's target & drops Kobold #3!

You still hear a commotion down past the door at the end of the hallway & you have that opened eastern door & a closed western door opposite that, in the middle of this hallway.

[Starbeard]

Arn whispers to the others, 'We had better ensure that there are no threats coming from either of those side doors, lest we become trapped. Teladrin, perhaps you and I can cover the open eastern door, and once we know it's safe to turn our backs to it the others can secure the western door.'

[Mondego]

Teladrin nods while moving forward to cover the eastern door.

Dungeon Master:

Ok, Teladrin, is providing cover fire for the western door, who will be looking into the doorway to see what awaits beyond?!

[Starbeard]

Arn will look through the door, as he's up there with Teladrin (assuming there's actually light enough for him to see).

Dungeon Master:

As Arn Attempts a look 2 Crossbow Bolts come flying at him:

Bolt #1: [1d20] = 9 : This is Miss!
Bolt #2: [1d20] = 18 : This is a Hit! For [1d4] = 4 Hit Points of Damage!

Jenks continues to lurk at the rear.
Important job guarding the rear - very important!

Elusev, knocking arrow, quickly moves to the doorway when he sees the bolt strike Arn, firing from beside once he get a lock onto the threats.

Long Bow(Specialized), To Hit:[1d20+4] = 13+4 = 17, Damage: S/M[1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7, L[1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4

Arn lets out a holler as the bolt cuts through his armour, just before he can get his shield up. He stumbles back to let the bowmen shoot, trying to observe what's in the doorway, and ready to attack anything that moves up to the door.

Attack with long sword: [1d20+1] = 11+1 = 12; Damage—S/M: [1d8+1] = 1+1 = 2, L: [1d12+1] = 5+1 = 6

Procyon readies his javelin in case enemies come through the door.

Dungeon Master:

Elusev's response to Arn getting hit results in him dropping a kobold with an arrow.

Arn Recovers from the bolt shot & rushes a still standing Kobold guard, swinging his sword only to have the blow swing past by a hair!

Elusev can make out that the room appears to be a mess hall & he only sees one other Kobold that Arn rushes.

Now that Arn is in melee with the Kobold:

Arn: [1d6] = 4
Kobold: [1d6] = 3

The Kobold wins Initiative!

The Kobold tries to stab Arn with a half Spear: [1d20] = 16 : This is a Miss!
