No need to apologize at all, man! I've studied it and can read relatively simple texts, but I'm not that good at it. Hopefully some day :-)

Xenos stretches and looks around at the others

"Well, that was...unexpected. It appears the gods still have use for us yet, even if only as entertainment. I say we do not keep them waiting and find a way out of this place. Seemingly, this strange island of Mu is where we are destined to be, and who are we to argue with destiny."

Valkrina

Must have been away with the faeries since she has learned another druidic art (a spell) to add to her repertoire.

"As peaceful as this cavern is. We ought to move on."

sheet will be updated shortly.

Akhilleus

The warrior wakes up feeling completely reestablised after the deep sleep. "Get out of here... But how. I doubt the ship will go back the way she came. Maybe there's a way out beyond this orchard."

Hakon.
The Viking comes out of his trance slowly at first, then with a sudden gasp he rouses himself fully and lurches to his feet. By the dim green light he obsesively searches about the cavern until he finds a smooth stone or large pebble. Having that, he fetches hammer and chisel from his pack and taps out a forked sigil into the stone's surface. He works quickly as if dithering would cause him to forget the dreamt symbol, but in fact it's a common letter of the Old Norse Futhark: the maðr-rune, whose meaning is "man, builder in earth, adorner of ships."

Hakon's new rune lets him cast the command spell.

His work complete, Hakon admires the rune for a moment before stowing it in his belt pouch and begins conversing with the rest of the party. He catches something the clever Xenos said.
"So you agree with the rumours heard by our new captain. This be Mu, indeed?"

If the whispering sounds are still present, Hakon harkens to them now for the first time since waking.

Xenos shrugs

"Mu, or not, it really doesn't matter. We are still in danger, either way. Weren't there some side trails when we came in?"

Euripides Nereos

I don't know. I didn't really get a good look at what the cave entrance looked like from above the water.
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. The party is starting to look a bit stronger all of the sudden. :D

I am still waiting on three hit point rolls.

Once everyone has their stats/sheets updated, we can continue the strange action.

The Long Sleep

After the strange naps are over, other than being dry and full, there is no indication how long the group was unconscious. However, when they look at the nearby fruit trees, they see almost no more low hanging fruit to be picked. How many of the odd globes they devoured during their slumber may remain a mystery.

Though everyone feels refreshed and stronger, the oppressive unknown surrounding you continues to gnaw at your senses. The strange giggling noises coming from the treetops seems to have abated, although the unintelligible whispers are still heard. Perhaps it is all only a figment of your imagination, because the curious runegraver gets no reply to any of his harks.

When Xenos mentions the Isle of Mu, Hakon raises an eyebrow. Even if it is likely that this truly is the small uncharted island, what could any of them do about it now? The only known fact about Mu is that it is as ancient and mysterious as Hyperborea itself. Once thought to be 10 times larger, after sinking in some unknown catastrophe, the place remains shrouded and hidden from the mainland, and likely for good reason.

In the dim green glow of this bizarre, hidden yet somehow well tended underground garden, the stronger and braver party will need to decide what they will do to escape this place, if there is any escape for them at all. One thing each of them does soon realize is that their strange idols that guided them here have all gone dormant, no longer emitting the oddities they had shewn earlier.

Actions?

Still waiting on a couple sheets to be finished, but I wanted to get things moving again here before anyone wanderer away.

Drest

Drest will take a look down each of the 3 passages that lead away from the garden to see if he can learn anything.

Rested and buffed up with some extra bardic talents and health, she follows behind Drest on his trail tour.

Akhilleus

Akhilleus also follows along, his shield and sword ready. He asks Apollonius to stay close with the torch. "Either way is fine, I don't see any difference. Maybe you can tell us more, Drest. Perhaps you should take the torch."

Hakon

Hakon has bow and arrow to hand. He suggests if Drest sees nothing of immediate interest down the north and south passages, then we check out the statue to the east next.

does the phosphorescent stuff give us enough light to see? I'm guessing our first round of torches have gone out.

Yes and yes.

Your initial torches have burned through, but the eerie green glow from the vegetation gives you enough light to see by.

I will give a better description of the fountain/statue in my next update.

Euripides Nereos

I guess if you don't see anything that looks important down the other paths, maybe we check out the statue first? Might give us some clue as to who lives here.

Akhilleus

"Hm. The statue. Yes. Makes more sense." The warrior has been paying more attention to the side corridors leading to the unknown than to the obvious possible source of information in front of them.

Drest

If Drest doesn't learn anything looking down the passages he will move to the statue and examine it.

Xenos stays alert while Drest investigates, ready to assist if something nasty jumps out.
