Thank you for making that decision, although had you ruled the spell was cast as I had written it, blindingly stupid as it would have been, I would have been fine with the unintended consequences.

Can't tell yet. It hasn't moved since Bo cast Entangle.
But it hasn't been completely engulfed and restrained.

OOC: Can we see bottom? Do we know how deep the hole descends? What is the condition of the rope currently in place that we can view? What is it tied to?

The rope is securely tied around the trunk of the nearest tree. The other answers were in my post:

A thick wet rope is secured on the worn, trampled, eastern edge of the gaping maw to the underworld. Knots are tied intermittently to aid in climbing...
The slack rope and the dank, muddy chasm descend forty feet before they are swallowed up by a darkness chilling and absolute.

Honestly, I'd much prefer to be able to game full time.

That said, cliffhangers are a staple of horror and pulp fantasy tales. It's all part of evoking the mood of the genre.

Personally, I actually like the way the occasional breaks add suspense to Inferno's already great games. But, that's just me.
