Well this should work for a swinging club just need to cut one more. I'll be back in a jiffy. Sorry it took so long.

Not made for tree cutting.

Great IC save.
The Black Cliffs
Moonday, 22nd of Goodmonth
Mid Afternoon, Sunny, Hot, Humid, Buggy
While the others continue gathering logs, TK squeaks away with the mole, who seems very interested in his mushy jerky. He nibbles at the meat for a few seconds before replying.
"Hmmmm, strange smell. Protein. Really salty! Not bad though, not bad at all."
"I will go with you to have a look if you want, and carrying me there sure would take a lot of time off my journey."
"Lets go for it? Wait. So all these other people are staying here, right? I don't want to get stepped on!"

The Knife
"Er...yes, they'll stay here for now," replies The Knife. Then he whispers "They're so big they'd probably step on me too."
The Knife puts the mole down and takes a moment to prepare for his attempt to sneak closer to the clearing. He rubs some dirt on his beardless face and sticks a few leaves in his hair. Then he cuts a few larger fronds and branches to adorn himself with as additional camouflage.
"Ready?", he asks his new friend. "I'll take you as close as I can. You go the rest of the way and see what's in the clearing. How many, where they are, big or small, are they sleeping? That sort of thing". He picks up the mole and quietly sneaks off through the vegetation.
Since I'm not exactly sure of the exact distance to the clearing, I'll say that he goes about 30'-40' close to it before he drops off the mole and waits.

TK and friend move towards the smell of smoke.
When the gnome thinks he is close enough to the edge of their clearing, he sets his little friend down, watching as it takes off under the loose forest carpet, leaving a tiny trail of upturned oerth and rotting vegetation in its wake.
While he waits for any results, The Knife hears a deep rumbling voice not far from his current position. Though he doesn't understand the guttural language, it sounds like two very large creatures, who are apparently much closer than he originally thought, arguing about something.

The Knife
The Knife gulps, then tries to breathe even more quietly. After a few seconds, he tries to gauge the direction the voices are coming from. He's almost tempted to peek in that direction, but realizes that for now he needs to let the mole do his job and just wait.

Much closer to the smokey clearing than he intended, the gnome can smell hints of something other than firewood burning in that direction.
A few times during his wait for the mole to return, TK winces after hearing the sounds of his friends chopping logs in the distance.
After a few louder whacks, whoever is doing the talking in front of him must hear it too, as their conversation suddenly stops.

The Knife
The Knife very, very, carefully looks around his immediate area. He look for a spot behind a tree trunk, fallen log or dense bush. He wants somewhere to take cover if the ogres suddenly charge, something they'll go around rather than straight through. If it's available, he gets ready to jump that way at the first sign they are heading for him.
After that, he tries to work out how close he is to the voices and if he thinks he is close enough to see anything if he peeks one eye out from behind a leaf.

Once he gets himself behind a thick tree, TK hears loud whispering coming straight for him. Again, he doesn't understand any of the slobbering grunts, but it is definitely getting louder.
When he peeks beyond a leaf, he sees 3 massive yellow skinned brutes loudly picking their way towards him through the heavy foliage. They are not exactly quiet as they approach, but none of them are looking in his direction, so he hopes to let them pass him by without incident.
The monsters appear to be walking a little funny, like they don't have complete control of their balance. As they pass his position, hidden low to the ground behind a tree, the Knife can smell that they totally reek of that same pungent smokey smell that he caught a whiff of earlier.

The Knife
The Knife waits a few moments to allow the ogres to get a short distance ahead. Then he starts to slowly stalk them back towards his party.
He keeps his fingers crossed that one of his companions will spot the incoming threat. If not he gets ready to yell out a warning before it's too late.

The Black Cliffs
Moonday, 22nd of Goodmonth
Mid Afternoon, Sunny, Hot, Humid, Buggy
While the others gather, Keyon and Feanol keep watch, eventually hearing something large approaching from the direction The Knife wandered off earlier. They pause for a moment for a better listen before looking at each other with wide eyes. They can both tell that, if it is indeed their gnomish friend returning to them, he must have grown considerably since he left. Keyon starts to see the vegetation moving off in the distance from his elevated perch, but he cant make out what is causing it yet.
The Knife watches as the three 10 foot tall, yellow skinned behemoths pass his position without even looking in his direction. He sneaks out from his hiding spot and follows behind them, noticing that they appear to be staggering slightly as they approach the area where he left his friends. He gets as close as he dares, hoping one of his friends will spot the threat before it is too late.

Darklin
As soon as he feels the ground shaking he stops chopping and finds cover. He is with out bow and pack. He stays under cover and moves back towards the clearing.

Feanol
Shares a glance of alarm with Keyon, then moves to get behind something that would shield her from the direction of the approaching sounds, dragging Keyon's bag with her. Once somewhat hidden she'll go over her spell again mentally and make sure she knows where her knives are.

Keyon and Feanol were keeping watch and have noticed something coming.
Unless they can somehow warn the rest of the group, they would be the only ones to know. (other than TK, obviously)

Keyon
Noting the movement off in the distance and sharing a wide-eyed glance with Feanol, he'll climb rapidly down and put eyes on Keg and Elnaerel and move toward them, touching them each on the shoulder and pointing in the direction of the disturbance. If he can hear Darklin chopping, he'll slip toward the sound and warn him, as well. If any time remains to him before whatever's causing the disturbance nears their position, he'll seek a hiding place of his own near the frail mage.
That might all take a bit. I figured that would be the extent of his movements during whatever time it takes the ogres to come close. If he's surprised at some point in the process and runs out of time, he'll duck for cover. Or if I need to break it up into individual actions, that's fine too. Don't want to be a headache.

The Knife
The Knife keeps cautiously trailing the ogres. He wonders how they are going to deal with all three of them. It would have been hard enough with the element of surprise, but with that gone, it might be close to suicidal now.

Elnaerel
"We have no chance. We have to go. Now." She takes whomever might be next to her by the shoulder and pushes him or her in the opposite direction the ogres are coming from in order to force them to run. She does so.

Keg will turn to the Elf as he gives the silent warning and he will nod, quickly putting his axe back into its harness and readying his sword and shield while moving with the rest of the group on a guarded retreat until they can get a good look at the ogres.
