On the Loggers Trail: (Late Afternoon)
Two young human teenagers cautiously exit the jungle in front of Liam and Jaxsen. They appear to be members of the Beachtown community, carrying empty burlap sacks at their sides. "What? Emergency meeting? What did the two of you do that was so bad you think the dwarves will attack us?"


The Battle Of Dwarf Trail:
The inability to injure these mounted dwarven soldiers finally causes the group some problems when the one fighting Dexter takes a wild ax hack backwards over his head that brutally connects with the nimble halfling, 5 dam nearly knocking him off the back of the lizard.

The Princess gives chase behind the fleeing dwarf, watching as the saddle continues to slip off the animal, slowing them both considerably and giving the rider fits as he nearly falls to the ground. Narramore throws a dagger, just missing the side of his cute counterpart's head. Aptly deciding to not throw another, he too gives chase behind the floundering dwarf.

Daisy isnt sure if she should follow, or try to aid Dexter, staying put where she is for now. (Bob, did I miss something there? I thought she was trying to cast a spell last round?)

The Princess

If the Princess is able to reach the lizard, she'll jump on its back and complete the process of dismounting the dwarf. She approaches from the non-dwarf side.

No, it was intended as flavor text. Daisy has no miracles left for the day, and was just praying for a blessing in an obscure Halfling dialect. Sorry for the confusion.

Oh, sorry. I had her down as having more spells than she actually has. (I think I must have looked at her bonus spells for Wisdom in your notes section.)

I will fix that.


EDIT: Hold on..... If she gets 2 first level spells per day and a bonus of 2 first level spells for her 15 Wis, shouldnt she have 4 first level spells per day?

Jaxsen keeps his opinion about what went wrong to himself and moves out with Liam once more.

"I deserved that." Dexter thinks to himself. "How many times do I have to tell myself that I am not a warrior?"

But despite the sudden attack of common sense, Dexter takes yet another swing at the Dwarf.

On the Loggers Trail: (Late Afternoon)
The young men look all the way up the trail, shading their eyes with their hands. They still don't seem convinced of any trouble.

"It dont look like nothins followin ya. Why ya in such a hurry? We gotta go out to try to find some fruits in the jungle. Maybe we can just meet ya back there?"


The Battle Of Dwarf Trail:
Able to move much quicker than her heavily armored companion, the Princess rushes up behind the lizard and leaps onto its back. She quickly cuts the saddle strap the rest of the way through, dropping the heavy dwarf to the ground with a loud thud. The lizard lurches forward, but quickly slows with half of its tack now dragging along the dirt trail.

The badly injured dwarf starts to limp towards the jungle, his nasty leg wound still bleeding badly. Narramore rushes forward, easily closing in on the hobbled patrol before he gets away.

Daisy watches as Dexter and the uninjured dwarf continue to fight the most awkward skirmish she has ever seen. The halfling easily evades a second behind the back chop, his own sword finding an open spot in the Stoneguts heavy armor. The dwarf cries out in broken common.

"Ouch! Ya little runt ya! Ya just aint learnin when to stop, eh? Yer lucky I's stuck in this damn baby basket, er I'd tear yer little arse ta pieces!" He spurs the lizard forward again, hoping to knock this pest off the back of his mount. (A Hard Dex check will prevent you from falling off, if you want to continue the attack.)

Narramore charges the wounded dwarf like a blood-mad bull, raising his sword high--

And missing entirely.

I freaking give up. My luck with this dice roller has been awful since the upgrade.

The Princess

She hopes to repeat her taming? process with this lizard, offering food once more. With guidance and seductive whispers, she intends to guide the beast to step free of the saddle and turn towards the dwarf.

Daisy hustles over to where Dexter is struggling with the dwarf, intending to give him some healing support. If she can get to him:

Whup him, sugar!

Her intent is to head for Narramore at best speed after this.

Dexter stays on the lizard without too much trouble.

Hoping that his hit on the Dwarf means that he is getting used to the situation, he decides to swing on him again.

"No," says Jaxsen. "The last time we saw them, they were heading the other way. If you are gathering food, and keep your ears open, you shouldn't have too much trouble anytime soon. But we think the Dwarves are going to bring more trouble to Beachtown, so I wouldn't wait too long to return."

Since I already know what BH's reply will be, I wont even ask.

The young men nod their heads at Jaxsen's warning, listening carefully to his advice as if they mean to heed it.

"I'd bet ye already know this, but towns not much further up ahead fer ya. We'll be back as soon as we fill these sacks!"


The Battle Of Dwarf Trail:
The dwarf swings backwards again at Dexter, clipping him with his ax while foiling his counter attack and knocking the halfling unconscious, off the back of his mount. 4 dam Almost as if she anticipated the action, Daisy is there to catch her fallen kin, preventing him from further injury as the dwarf takes off after his own injured brethren. The war priestess quickly heals Dexter back to consciousness, the worst of his wounds knitting back together somewhat.

The Princess eases her new mount to a stop, cutting the rest of it's crude leather tack away with her dagger, freeing it to move normally again. She coo's mystical elven pleasantries into the things ear hole, offering it food that it eagerly licks from her hand, all while getting the beast to turn slightly on the trail.

Narramore is sure he can finally do away with this pesky dwarf once and for all, since it can barely move due to its horrible leg wound. As it continues to shuffle towards the jungle, the paladin proceeds to dent his armor a bit worse, without doing any actual harm to the Stonegut. The dwarf calls out to his friend, unwilling to attempt returning an attack, instead concentrating fully on its defensive posture.
