I have a potion of growth and a couple healing potions so unless the growth potion can increase the mass to allow a larger polymorphed form to carry the bears I don't think Lar can help out much after that.

You only have to fly em over the castle outer walls and pop em down. They can walk the rest of the way to town/ the camp site with the Druid.

With a Druid of the level we have we could do with finding a site that we could create a safe(ish) haven. With access to stone shape and hallucinatory forest spells we could be a lot more secure, and if there was only a narrow entrance lined with glyphs we could ensure that whatever attacks would only be able to do so one at a time. Snare spells could be pretty handy also, and plant growth as well, and if we carved a chamber out of the rock then we would significantly reduce the attacks available to the vampire and his minions. Having the Druid cast his allotment of second level spells after memorising goodberries on a berry bush could really help us out with healing that lasts too. 2d4 berries capable of healing a HP a berry per spell (Max 8 a day) could keep is topped up or in use for emergencies, without using up spell slots. And they last a day plus one day per Druid level.

Mainly we would still be vulnerable to ethereal undead, which would get us anytime anyway. But not in the day light hours, most of the ghostly ones can't come out to play in the day.

It's something to think about.

fairly good ideas listed. Again I'm just the brawn here so all you magic/priestly types are more of the experts of the plans to protect and escape. ;)

Hi,
I’m going away for the weekend and may not be able to post. I'll be back Tuesday.
If I'm holding things up, please NPC my character. Thanks!

Some notes on this:

Stone Shape only allows shaping a limited volume of stone. For a 7th-level druid, that's 10 cubic feet—a sphere 2'8" in diameter, a hemisphere about 3'4" across at its base, or a cube 2"2" to a side. That can be useful for making doors through walls and things like that, but it won't move enough stone to make a shelter big enough for a whole party.

Goodberry is okay if you're using spell slots on off-days to stock up on berries, but there are lots of other useful 2nd-level spells for days when the druid expects to see combat. Besides, the less I have to open Unearthed Arcana, the happier I am. :)

Plant Growth and Snare are interesting ideas, however.

You can use stone shape more than once though.

And yes Goodberry is much better utilised on off days. That's kinda my point

Did Scarlett end up taking the +1 shield? And who ended up with Excommunicator (the +1 broadsword)? I'm trying to do some housekeeping before kicking off the trip to the castle.

Also, please make sure that whatever you took is on your sheet.

Scarlett offered to take the shield seeing that it will offer greater protection, not least from leaping wargs and the touch of feral ghouls. Is this shield Agrippos' hoplon or another? The hoplon being mainly wood didn't succumb to the rust monsters, it was unadorned except for battle scars whereas the shield of Vorkath had religious symbols on and being of another faith I am not sure in character wether a cleric of Samar would carry another deity's symbol. I think I queried this before but got no answer. Reading through the '5 months later', it seems that little Castran couldn't carry Vorkaths' kite shield, it is as big as he is so Gragog 1/2 orc was given it. That being so did Zombiegrippo have his hoplon when he knocked on the house door?

The shield was Zombie Vorkath's. Zombie Agrippo didn't have his shield with him.

As far as I remember Gragog gave up the sword and the spear and the shield as others were planning to use them.

Okay, trawling back through the five months later, the shield is decorated religiously and Scarlett would not have taken it. I will pick up my stag beetle horn embossed carapace +3 shield of truffle finding when Scarlett returns to the forge, until then she'll adventure with what she has. Character sheet amended.

Responding to some OOC comments in the IC thread here (I'm trying to keep the IC thread reasonably free of OOc clutter):

Did Castran cast invisibility at some point today or last night? His last would have dropped in the zombie battle, and I don't remember seeing him cast it again, but I may have just missed it. If not, I don't understand the comment about crossing the bridge unseen.

Bragar, Agax, or Bogdana could use healing spells now to bring the party to full health if you want. I'd start with Agax, since he has an active player.

Thanks. It appears that the healers are the ones who are most injured. (Lar and Bragar). I'll add to my post slightly, and heal Petyr with Agax's next action. I want to use the detect invisibility while we enter, just in case.

I thought you had missed it. He suggested first to cast it on thiefy types but no one said they wanted it so he said he would cast it on himself after the battle (bottom of page ten) and the second time he tried again was mid page 12.

Gotcha.

Also, on Lar laying on hands: he heals 12 points every time. Maybe he figures it's a waste to use it to cure 6 points of damage.
