Roamers and Travelers (ooc and questions lV)
Re: Roamers and Travelers (ooc and questions lV)
Would the more banged-up among us not like to rest before venturing to the island? We have food here.
Our clerics need healing.

Resting up to full hps and recovering spells is a great idea - especially if we are heading to the 'Island of Death'

I’m willing to give it a shot. But be prepared for more bad dreams and lots of monsters to come calling.

"Resting up to full hps and recovering spells is a great idea - especially if we are heading to the 'Island of Death'," I always say!
*with two exceptions:
That's a cogent point. Whenever you've slept in the Underground City, you've been attacked.* It seems that Zargoth can 'see' you in your dreams.OGRE MAGE wrote:I’m willing to give it a shot. But be prepared for more bad dreams and lots of monsters to come calling.
*with two exceptions:
- -Hiding in a secret crawlspace under the desecrated temple of Osorus.
-Hiding inside the giant anthill.

I wasn't actually Googling Lost City. I looked up the JG adventure and found that forum thread. I purposely tried to avoid any info on the adventure. Spoilers take the fun out of playing through the adventure. Besides, even if we know what's in the module, you'll throw something in there that kills us all anyway.Inferno wrote:PS: While googling Lost City, please watch out for spoilers!

On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. The DM makes a valid point though.

Sorry Pixie and Raven. It's been four days. Onward, ever onward.

Must be a delayed reaction from the mushrooms Cruloc ate earlier.

From the DMG:
That book has rules for everything, if only you can find them.

I've got a virtual game convention this weekend, so I don't know how much time I'll have to spend on the Servant. Please NPC my character if necessary.

Re: Roamers and Travelers (ooc and questions lV)
I'm unclear about our surroundings. Is there water between us and the sailboat? Is it moored or has it already set sail? Would getting to it involve running or swimming? How far away is it? A rough map would be helpful.
Re: Roamers and Travelers (ooc and questions lV)
Hey Yrkoon,
I don't understand. It's all perfectly clear in my head!
Here's an updated map: (The ruins are vast and the PCs aren't 100% aware of their positions, but I'm including it for player clarity.)

M marks the location of the mushroom forest.
X marks Cruloc and Garrin.
S marks the ship.
(I'll add all this to my last DM post.)
Cruloc and Garin are following a tributary that empties out into the lake.
The river is on their right, the ageless decay of the Underground City on their left.
Beyond the river is the northern cavern wall.
Ahead, (to the west) they begin to see the end of the labyrinthine ruins beyond which is a great yawning cavern above a vast black subterranean lake.
Hope that helps. Sorry I was unclear!

Cruloc and Garrin can only see the sails, but appears to be moored where the city meets the lake.Yrkoon wrote:Is it moored or has it already set sail?

The sails just came into view. Hard to tell. A mile? A half mile?Yrkoon wrote:How far away is it?

ROFLOL!!!!The Pict lies on his back, staring up at the cavern ceiling. As he does so, he starts making snow angels in the dirt, though he has no name for this activity.
