OOC: The next round begins with the party losing initiative. Only one Troglodyte is seen.
Rondar is able to throw off the butchered corpse of the Troglodyte and retreat into the darkness.
The party turns its attention to the last seen foe.
The troglodyte leaps into the middle of the group causing some confusion in the darkness, the troglodyte lands a vicious bite on Nuonne who cries out in pain as his mace arm is rended. Ankhar tries to push off the Troglodyte to no avail. As the troglodyte hangs on to Nuonne's arm he is left vunerable to the blows of Etruna, Halmod, and Viscata. Stabbed and hacked this troglodyte is soon lying face down in a pool of its own blood.
After the death of the second Troglodyte you look around for other foes but only hear the heavy breathing of your companions.
Kraden, still alone in his room hears the sounds of fighting suddenly stop.
(OOC: Both troglodytes are dead and Nuonne takes 3 points of damage.)

Kraden grips his hand axe with white knuckles and strains to see in the darkness. He can almost hear his heart beating thunderously within in his chest. The grief of not being able to help and also becoming a burden on the party is almost more than he can bear. He tries to whisper to the others.
"What happened?...is everyone alright?... please, someone!..."

As Ankhar sees that Nuonne seems to be fine he will advance further ahead, in the dark if necessary, ready to strike at any other oncoming enemies.

"we should gather all the bodies and pile them in one room so this doesnt happen again. this includes the dark priest in the pool room."

Etruna nods in agreement, mentally kicking herself for not having thought of that prior to their interrupted rest.
"It would be wise for the clerics to rest in an adjacent room so that if another such interruption occurs, their rest might not be spoiled. Given our condition, recovering their healing spells should be our top priority."

OOC: hmm, a post went missing somewhere of mine. let me see if I can splain, no it'll take to long, let me summarize
IC: Nuonne holds his arm and makes moves to staunch the bleeding, angry that he let himself get hurt when healing is at a premium. "
Check the bodies first, see if these stench filled monsters have anything that could be of use to us." He'll help best he can with that.

Halmod begins to question Viscata about the value of her holding onto that exquisite short sword if she isn't going to be using it.
As the party goes about piling and searching the bodies up the Sun goes down and the tunnels become absolutely dark. Weirdly none of the bodies aside from the priests have anything of value.
Rondar is at the priests body and no sight, sound, or smell of enemies is present. The priest wears chain mail and has a wicked hammer with a head like that of a snake. He also has a ring of keys on his belt.

Nuonne now has a neatly bandaged arm.

No enemies remain but your vigilance is noted.

Ankhar does so.

Wise words, such as one should well expect from you Etruna. I am really willing to remain on guard while you fellas get your deserved rest, but my morning prayers seem to be more valuable than my vigilance at this time."

Ankhar makes his way carefully up the muddy stairs that lead to the dike area. About a third of the way up Ankhar slips and quickly find himself back at the bottom. Ankhar attempts it again and with a bit more care makes to the top, careful to not trip on Rondar's trap. Dyleus has carried the Sun below the horizon but some light still illuminates the sky. The rain has stopped and breaks in the clouds are beginning to appear. Ankhar does a scan of the perimeter and sees no one living, but there are many places in the swampy foliage where one could hide. Ankhar's great strength makes it easy to lift the bodies and the muddy stairs easily carry them to the bottom, where others can help hide them. As you go about your work you keep vigilant of your surroundings and often feel like someone is watching, but you still see no one. When finished you are careful to avoid Rondar's snare but that only causes you to slide once again down the stairs. Ankhar is almost not recognizable from the day before with all the mud covering him.
After an hour or so the work is done and the tunnels are dark.
Is everyone resting?

once we have all the corpses piled up in room 8 we can huddle together and rest and rondar will share his exploits.

Room #8e
No sounds and unlocked. This room has a long table with benches to either side of it.
Dirty platters and several stained mugs are strewn around
the tabletop. At the west end of the room is a small oven,
vented through an 8” diameter hole in the ceiling. Several
closed wooden boxes contain more platters, pans, mugs,
several bottles of very low-grade wine, dried beans, and
lard. There is nothing of interest or value here.
Room #9
No sounds and the door to this room is locked and any attempts to open it fail(Lock pick or forcing).
Room #10
An open area. This shallow pool of clear, still water was revealed when a
section of the tunnel wall caved in. Hundreds of small and
apparently blind fish dart through the water, but there is
nothing else of interest here.
#11
This room was stoutly locked and no sounds. When the door is tried, a little dirt
fell from the ceiling. I picked the lock and managed to get the door open.
It is filled with kegs of wine that may be of some value.
12a-12b
These chambers have unlocked and no sound but the doors are stuck. Each has a
pile of mud in a far corner from a slowly eroding wall, but they
contain nothing of value.
#16
This door has been been scorched with a large black "X" and when you check it is unlocked.
You don't hear any sounds. But the stench of rotted flesh is strong.
I didn't like what I was seeing and smelling so I did not open the door to see hwta was inside.

Kraden listens as best he can to Rondar's description of his explorations. The ranger prays that his companions, especially Nuonne, Ankhar, Etruna and Halmod, get the required rest they need to cast spells again. He will try his best to stay awake and remain vigilant, but realizes that in his condition it will be very difficult. If the armored fighter that dealt him the blow and escaped returns, he prays that Rondar's trap will catch him unaware.

Resting yes. Is there a way to lock ourselves in a room? Otherwise, Nuonne, knowing he needs those Cure spells, will rest and pray.
