I had to go looking on this one as the literal definition was a real doozy.

Barnet: any of the threadlike pigmented structures that grow from follicles beneath the skin of mammals and consist of layers of dead keratinized cells.

A little more digging found the slang reference for hair, so I'll go with that.

The trip down goes without issue, but the moment you hit customs, Walt and Arkar throw a red flag and they shunt you to the side while someone is summoned to deal with you.

That someone turns out to he Captain Evans, the woman that runs downport security, and the person that Walt and Arkar dealt with the last time. She is a woman in her early fifties with short blonde hair cropped tight on the sides that has a weathered look about her and her eyes speak of experience with the darker side of society. The look she is giving Walt and Arkar is not friendly.

"I thought we had an understanding, but it seems I was mistaken. Why have you returned and why shouldn't I toss you back out on your asses?"

"Honestly Captain, what you said was 'You’re free to go but if you cause any more trouble, I’ll lock your assess under the jail. Give my people your comm code and go before I change my mind.'.

We are down here with our crew on leave."

With a honest humble reasonable, not smart alec face.

Garvin gives his most rakish smile "Not many!" He reaches out to gently touch her hair and then roguishly adds "Noticin'. A bloke's got to keep in touch with 'is feminine side ain't 'e? Said so in a posh "style piece" I was 'avin' a butcher's at so I could carry off blaggin' it as nobility. 'Course I'm only on the job 'cos there's this fantastic noble bird I'm after... She's got me... 'eart an' soul so she 'as...".

William kept quiet during the discussion as Arkar seemed to be capably handling the security officer. He walked away with the others and spoke softly. "Good job."

Garvin gives Arkar a crafty wink "Nicely played. I once ran into some similar difficulty on Collace..." Glancing at Jaelah he smiles with good natured bonhomie "That was one of those encounters you've just got to play out on yer own. Seems they can all work out for the best...".
