SnubSMGs and standard ammo available via your local dodgy arms dealer Mr Solomons. He can supply suppressors but not the integrally suppressed SuSAG "special" weapons or the HEAP(S) ammo. Jess also has another SnubSMG in stores.

While Jess' QSM's twitch is being aggravated by both "non standard" and "non issue" gear. She will recall the above SnubSMG also came with non standard rounds which will we redesignate HEAP(Z). I'm sure much innocent fun could be had with both varieties... saves 'em sitting on a stores shelf gathering non regulation dust...

They want paying as specialists at their NCO rate but are good candidates.

Together they form a veteran fire team or alternatively form the NCO cadre for a two fire team squad.

With those skills and the flexibility they bring I think they're worth it.

One is a Tarsan , but the other worked for SuSAG, which could be really good... or bad.

Frank is going to want Freya to do some work to check out his family for any sign of electronic spyery while he looks out for physical surveillance.

The Essor Recon Drone is likely to become Freya's new best buddy and, as per the description, just look at how much trouble it can get you in by riding around in it!

Nukkin' Futz Media offer 5MCr to "embed" two reporters with SEMC to harvest both "combat footage" and "sentient interest issues". The company is politically neutral, produces distinctly average journalistic content and would qualify (if that were an appropriate term) in Collace parlance as a media resource for "Lads". There are obvious downsides to media intrusion but the (near sector wide) "free advertising" would be a significant bonus and a business asset.

Lady Hildegarde von Blingin' (who Voss describes as "Collace... ahem... nobility") offers 2MCr apiece to purchase Second Lieutenant commissions in the SEMC for family members. The wily old dowager also offers access to the family right of "Warranted Transfer" useable for (as per Voss' deadpan "the young un's luggage and that"). "Warranted Transfer" is an "ancient right" in District 268 (Voss: "She pronounced a comma after "ancient", sir"). This allows the nobility to send small amounts of cargo in the equivalent of a "diplomatic bag" respected by most if not all Starport authorities within the District and quite possibly into the Imperium.

I thought I'd bring the discussion of the two offers above over here so we can discuss them OOC as it's probably quicker than IC.

The only way I'd accept this is if we get to see the resume and interview first and get the option to reject at this point. We'd also need in writing that they will be treated as any other junior officer, we get the money up front and if they are kicked out in the first year then it would be paid back pro-rata per month they survived. Even with all this I's still need convincing, as they are likely to be entitled idiots who are going to put our people in danger.

The goodwill of a "noble" is not nothing.

The boys can be kept safe in the rear, with no opportunity to cause trouble, if they prove as useless as needing to buy a commission suggests. In fact, even if they are decent officers we ought to keep them out of the firing line - we wouldn't want our income stream injured

I do see joes point about not wanting them on Tarsus though.
