Realizing that stealth was not his forte, Hargrem decided to rush headlong into what awaited them. he had blow their cover, so if there was something in the room waiting for him, he felt it was best to meet it head on. "Behind me," he said to the others and moved deeper into the room.

"Remind me to fashion him some fur coverings the next time I get groomed." Sky raises her crossbow and watches for movement as Hargrem enters the open area, covering him.

Qelgrax Klilxuac
The sorcerer continues moving along the wall. Ending in the square 4 south, 2 west, assuming there is nothing in that little alcove he would end up next to.

Kelben will attempt to himself remain stealthy and go around the choke point still hugging close to the wall. moving through the opening and going 4 squares south westish following the the wall.
The Grove Hargrem becomes more brazen in his approach after realizing the element of surprise is off the table. Stepping out from the partial cover of the small, L-shaped wall, the cleric comes into almost immediate contact with a pale briar bush. Pressing against the wall to avoid coming into the contact with the sickly plant, the cleric manages to slowly scoot around it. Kelben and Klilxuac follow behind, with Sky settling into the space vacated moments earlier by the cleric:

Bypassing the natural obstacle, the cleric continues his southern progress per his original plans. Stopping just shy of the next corner, Hargrem halts his progress after detecting the hint of a twig creature hiding around the bend:

Now activated, several more of these twig blights are spotted throughout the expansive grove.

The cleric moved into position as the inevitable happened. Twig blights appeared and based on the reaction from those they encountered when the descended, Hargrem was sure they would have the same attitude. With his companions behind him, he called upon Tymora's flame to burn them into ash. Though, he had the strange feeling she was laughing at him.
Round 1 Klilxuac acts quickly and angles to his left, centering himself in the action. The sorcerer targets the nearest twig blight with his fire bolt and, while the mote of fire seems to barely clip the animated pile of sticks, the flame seems to have a more pronounced affect on it.
Sky slinks around the pale briar and plants her back against the L-shaped wall. Taking aim with her hand crossbow, she sinks a bolt into the small creature and shatters it; scattering splinters of wood in all directions.
The nearby twigs advance, and the group can observe as the planky legs propel the creatures at a slower rate, making their advance slightly less intimidating or urgent -- but there are quite a few of them!
With the immediate threat eliminated, Hargrem and Kelben push further south where the next stick figure presents itself. The cleric torments the target with a Sacred Flame attack, which is successful, but does not prove fatal. The rogue slides in moments later and runs the twig through with his rapier, splintering it.

The tweaking and creaking of wood stretching as the plant-creatures advance echo throughout the chamber.

The cleric moved to intercept the two blights to his left before they could advance onto the sorcerer. He let out another flame descending upon one of the two of them. But again, Tymora just merely scoffs as he called upon her name. It was like she was just phoning in from her couch.

Initiative Order
19: Klilxuac
16: Sky
7: Twig Blights
5: Hargrem
4: Kelben
Round 2 Klilxuac takes a few cautious steps backwards then launching another Fire Bolt at one of the handful of twig blights approaching, but the creature, seemingly aware of the fire-brandishing capabilities of the sorcerer, is able to narrowly avoid being struck by the incoming mote of flame.
Sky reloads her hand crossbow and targets the same twig blight and purrs proudly as she watches her bolt shatter yet another twig creature.
From the deeper recesses of the large open cavern, two of the approaching twig blights scamper north, with one each targeting Hargrem and Kelben. A set of woody claws reaches out to rake the holy man, but is bashed away by the cleric's shield. The rogue, having attacked in the other direction moments earlier, is unable to escape the raking attempt against him and feels a series of bark fingers scrape at his side (-5).
Hargrem calls upon Tymora and sends another burst of flame descending upon the twig blight in front of him. The raining flame strikes successfully, and the creature seems particularly vulnerable to the fire element, the divine gift manifested appears weakened by the depth of the sunken citadel and is ultimately not powerful enough to end the threat.
Just off the the cleric's left, Kelben sends chips of wood spraying in all directions as his rapier thrust completely runs the wooden creature through.

More sounds -- shuffling movement and hushed whispers -- are heard coming from deeper within the expanse.

Witnessing the blessing of his flame like spells upon the wood-like creatures, Hargrem calls forth another blast of radiance down upon the one right in front of him. There's still more! Keep up the fight, he yells to his companions.
Sky can be heard purring loudly in pleasure as twig after twig falls. "Make sure to pick up the kindling, Klilxuac, we'll get a fire going so you can see better soon."
She notices a greenish twig thing creeping up on her and she pulls her rapier and stabs at it.
