Before anyone does anything Robert says, "Hold up gang, no one goes in until Tumbler checks this out, everyone else stay back from the door and by the fireplace. Robert oversees Tumblers activities while he searches for traps and validates the authenticity of what he sees. If no traps Robert checks for secret/concealed doors also and waves the other up."

Robert tries to disbelieve what he sees in case it might be an illusion.

Robert examines the antidote so Iluq can see him so he takes a whiff of the antidote once the secret treasure room is secured and no other secret/concealed doors are located and no traps are present. Using Roberts skills as a druid to verify the antidote as best he can he will test it to make sure it's not acid or poison by placing the smallest drop on his skin with no reaction then uses his tongue to taste the drop just placed on his skin just the tip of the tongue for a reaction.

If it checks out Robert tells Iluq, "I'm still here and it seem to be what it says it is. Blink once if you want me to give you the antidote and twice if you don't."

Fendt eyes the maces and the scimitar "Hmm if any one of these is better versus undead I sure could use it. I know how to use a mace as I have proven but I also know how to wield a scimitar. But yes yes lets check before we go caressing this treasure and the items."

Tib laughs hysterically, almost maniacally, at Agrippo's actions.

Dont tell me to get back! I'm the only one who was brave enough to open the damn door to begin with! Besides......that treasure won't do any of us much good if we don't survive to make it out of this cursed place!

Bragar- This be quite a hall. I think we all could use a Magic Mace to help us vs undead. But I would not dare touch any thing in here till our magic users identify them.

Fendt "Best I can offer is to detect magic on all the items in here other than that I did not memorize identify for the day."

Fendt does a bit of a flourish with his hands and casts Detect Magic and examines from afar with it the entire stash of treasure.

Survival is exactly why I told everyone to stay back. Why do you think I asked Tumbler to check the door for traps. Makes no difference to me Tib. Go right ahead and jump right in there before Tumbler checks it out. I can burn you in the fireplace once you're dead just like the others. Stupid and brave are close brothers my friend", says Robert.

Robert makes sure Iluq is halfway to the fireplace before Tumbler checks out the room. Once it's cleared he checks the antidote.

Date: Nouluna 5, 1221
Time: 10:30 PM
Weather: Light rain
Moon: Full
Location: Castle Ravenloft, Treasure Vault
**************************************

Robert, ever skeptical, cautions the others against rashness. He tries not to believe that a room full of carefully-organized treasure stands before him in the castle of Strahd. Nonetheless, carefully-organized treasure stands before him in the castle of Strahd. The druid tests the contents of the bottles marked "Antidote." Although he cannot detect their function, they seem harmless enough. He doesn't start choking, his lips don't turn blue, and he doesn't hallucinate.

Fendt stands in the doorway and speaks the words "apprehensio hocus-pocus." Slowly scanning the room from left to right, he sees that all three maces and the scimitar radiate magic.

Agrippo, for some reason thinking it's easier to bring Iluq to the antidote than the antidote to Iluq, takes him him into the treasure room then pours the "antidote" down Iluq's throat. Iluq coughs, spits, convulses, and finally pushes Agrippo's left hand from a location this narrator will not mention. The poison seems to have been counteracted.

Castran looks for secret exits. He doesn't see any.

Status: Agrippo: 32/52, Tibbius: 10/10 (poisoned, slow poison; -1 to rolls), Iluq: 13/34, Tumbler: 24/39, Robert: 16/34; Fendt: 17/19; Castran: 13/23; Melampus: 21/30; Bragar: 31/42
Effects: None

Welcome back dark one, says the spellblade after completing his search.

this seems a more defensible chamber, at least from any undead with bodies. Strahd is sure to know we are here however. We might as well vex him further by looting his ill gotten gains no? Perhaps we can give some of it back to the impoverished in the village. Can any of you clergy divine whether using these magical weapons will prove to be good or ill?

The gnome will begin trying to calculate what each persons share of the coins and gems are, and loom to evaluate the gemstones value.

IF we survive, we could live well for a week or two yes?. That's 2000 odd holds and 130 odd platinum pieces each at least.

The swashbuckler/Cabalist will then flick through the ledger with Strahds name upon it.

Iluq, still coughing from the remnants of the liquid, shakily stands up with the assistance of Agrippo, Continuing to keep his unmentionables sacred and un-molested.

He looks around the room, hearing it while paralyzed is one thing, seeing is another. However, while others are mystified Iluq seems frustrated by the display of wealth, "So many people hurt, friends lost, all so he can have treasure like this... Disgusting. I am glad to be removing it from his possession, we can return a portion to the people to ease their suffering." the others can tell he would be happy to give it all away but would not deprive his friends of their spoils.

Iluq then walks up to the newest additions to the group, nodding at the comment of Castran, "I apologize I was unable to introduce myself earlier, I had one slow poison spell and it was me or Tib. I am Iluq, a cleric of Fenmarel. I am glad that you survived the spiders venom long enough for us to find you, we will need all the help we can get if we are to destroy Strahd... And yes, I am a dark elf from the Underdark." He taps his fist to his chest and slightly bows to each new member in greeting.

Iluq checks over the magical weapons, "Unfortunately I only have the same spell as Fendt, Detect Magic. I am currently unable to discern what each object will do, I suppose we can always test through more practical means?

Tibbius continues to laugh at Roberts reply. In fact, he can't seem to stop the laughter. Has he finally gone mad from the stress this place has caused him?

You were all captured here and nearly dead when we found you hanging around? The whole time you were only a few feet away from the most riches I have ever seen. He continues to laugh maniacally, until finally addressing Iluq.

I really wish you would stop putting the likes of me in front of the needs of yourself and the others. I told you, I am prepared to meet my maker here and you are much more important to the group than I.

A pleasure, says the gnome nervously. Stories of the brutality of the drow have reached the ears of his homeland. it is rare to find one of your kind to be so ... Giving. Do none of you clerics possess an Augury spell?

"Tibbius perhaps you should use an antidote as well my friend. It seems fate has placed us here for a reason but I can see why you are laughing, says Robert with a smile. To everyone. I too can use a scimitar, but I am unable to use a mace. As for the money can we agree that says 10-25% be gifted to the town folk and town. The remainder can be split amongst those of us here or that live through this ordeal? Shall we proceed on or secure this location and rest for the night. We still have some healing power in the group but we should not stray far from here and we still need rations. I agree that someone might use an augury to see if each weapon is a bane or a boon?"

Iluq gives Tibbius a level look, "Tib, I've already lost one friend to this bastard, I won't be losing another, not as long as I still have breath in my lungs." He turns to the new gnome, "Augury? I do have that, shall I cast it now on the items or after we rest?"

if we are planning to rest it would be best to use our resources before hand and then regain them for another use don't you think? If there is still healing available I would appreciate a spell, I am quite injured and have not much strength left.

On 13 Hps left here dudes. If he's gonna be on the front line I reckon he may need more Hps or two long sword stabs will finish him off.

perhaps if you ask the augury stones if you pick up and use these weapons in combat will they bring weal or woe or something similar. If none are cursed hopefully with just one augury we will have a safe answer. What do you think?

We need to make a concerted decision now people. Are we resting or are we continuing?
