Hearing Sigrún over the comms Doug says Why would we do that, when we can get away??? If we can jump before the missiles get here we should jump. If we manage to shoot them both down we can make a normal jump. There is no reason to engage in combat with this ship. Why take the risk of a close in fight or a boarding?

Flighty blinks, unsure of what is happening. He mutes his connection to all hands and opens one to Zaki while he works.
"I think Sigrun is having some kind of crisis. I'm not sure what an Oberleutnant is but know I'm not one. I think she's having a flashback."
"Responding," Zaki replies. She exits the computer room and makes her way to Sigrún's station.
"Sigrún, it's me. Open the hatch."
The ACR clamped to the bulkhead near the ladder leading up to number Two Turret makes Sigrún easy to locate. At Zaki's call she rotates the turret to clear her line of sight down the ladder.
"Hæ, Zaki" she immediately smiles at Zaki then frowns
"Hvað ertu að gera hérna núna?" She twitches her head in irritation and states
"We are here to destroy Imperial shipping and must take risks to achieve our mission!"
She frowns again then stares at Zaki in bewildered disbelief
"Tostig Thorvaldsson has the steering oar - I will argue with him about this... but... that hasn't happened yet...".

Swordy Trans Service: Hi, Zaki. What are you doing here now?

I totally wish Sigrun were on the Lost and Found. Her as a baby ancient? Wooo!

Mentally Sigrún seems to latch onto the present reality of the immediate threat
"I am a serving officer in the Sword Worlds Navy. Of course I can do that!" Looking at her gunnery console she determines
"I will require the ship's computer to run Target, Gunner Interact and Predict in order of priority to attack the inbound missile and...".
Sigrún gives a bright smile and colours slightly turning her face to Zaki's in the confines of the turret
"...and I seem to remember that I love you".

Zaki smiles through her visor.
"I love you, too. All I can run for now is Target. We're a trader, not a warship. Can you try to hit the missiles anyway?"

Sigrún replies "I will try. It is going to be very difficult unless you can add more computer programs".
(OOC: Having tracked for Round 1 she fires on Round 2 needing 11+ To Hit with no other +ve DMs save Tracking.
Miss).

Donovan tried to ignore Sigrun and approach the situation professionally. Hopefully between Zaki talking to her and combat instincts Sigrun would properly engage. "This is Turret One. I designate incoming hostiles as Vampires One and Two. Intruder ship is designated Bogie One." With Target running Donovan worked to assign targets. "All weapons Red and Free. Primary target Vampire One, fire as she bears. Turret Two acknowledge." While he was setting up Donovan fired at the missile twice without aiming reasoning that without better fire control volume of fire was his best friend.

Space Combat Round 1 Resolved
While Flighty works through a new insertion program on the Bridge and Zaki attempts to bring Sigrun back to the present reality, Donovan fires at the missiles..and misses! Both missiles have now moved into Long Range!
Over the Comms, Flighty hears distress calls as the, you assume Pirate ship, fires lasers at the 200 ton Trader back with the group of ship as it passes close to it. SDB's are sending orders to "Stand Down! to the Pirate, but in response it fires a missile at Close range at the Trader. It will almost certainly hit her!
And then you note another missile has been fired at your ship! There are now 3 missiles heading your way.
Space Combat Round 2 Begins
Flighty finishes the reworked program and has it ready for Zaki to put into the computer. The Generate program can now be unloaded from the computer.
Flighty, Sigrun and Donovan all note 3 missiles are now flying toward them! One is still Out of Range, but there are two entering Long Range and closing on you.
The Radio cracks to life again and a woman's voice comes over a Tightbeam to Flighty on the Bridge,
"Deal Breaker! Cut your engines and give us what is ours and we'll let you live!"
Zaki is torn now! She needs to be in the Computer Room to swap out Generate for either Predict-1 or Gunner Interactive. If she does that it will give both Donovan and Sigrun a better chance of hitting the approaching missiles.
Does Zaki leave Sigrun and attend to the Computer?
Does she stay with Sigrun to keep her focused?
Does she send, oh say, Karsci to the Computer Room to attempt the swapping of programs?
And if someone does swap out Generate is it replaced with Predict-1 or Gunner Interactive?
Notes on this Space Combat
Tiglith posted that Sigrun held fire until Round 2, so she potentially has a DM's of +1 Track, +1 Predict or +1 Gunner Interactive -4 (-1 Target Size, -3 Target Distance).
Donovan has potential DM's of +1 Predict or +2 Gunner -4 (-1 Target Size, -3 Target Distance on his shots Round 2).
Bottom Line for Round 2:
With no additional programming Sigrun needs 11+ to hit, Donovan needs 12.
With Predict-1 Sigrun needs 10+, Donovan needs 11+.
With Gunner Interactive Sigrun needs 10+, Donovan needs 10+.
Donovan is in Turret One and Sigrun is in Turret Two each can fire independently.
EDIT: With both turret's manned Donovan and Sigrun each get ONE shot per round.

Tempting as it is to call them out for their hypocrisy and planned betrayal, Flighty will not answer and not stop what they are doing. He’ll be watching the missiles to be sure he is ready to jump early if need be.
The SDBs aren’t firing on the dude? Not much of a deterrence, are they. Maybe they will send them a sternly worked message.

"I will be right back, my love. Keep firing at the missiles." Zaki ducks out of the turret and races to the computer console again. She keys the comm.
"What am I putting in place of the Generate program when it finishes?"
The only other person with Computer skill is Flighty.
