Re: Part 2: Gladiator Initiations
Krakus- Spins his B. Axe in his hand. Looks at Rufus than runs his thumb across his neck and smiles. Than follows the others.

Re: Part 2: Gladiator Initiations
Chasing a rat
Looking for Mustafa the rat you don't see him anywhere looking around you think you see the back of him heading out of the warehouse district. Folks notice you looking around and some point him out sure enough he's leaving the warehouse district though so far he doesn't notice you are following him or looking for him and so he continues on his way. Rufus the merchant doesn't move or leave the warehouse he merely watches you go chase after Mustafa. Following Mustafa for a while leads you back to a seedier side of town and you manage to follow Mustafa he ducks inside a sketchy looking tavern. Question now is do you follow him into the tavern or try and figure out where the sorceress went after the warehouse district.

Rician Lockwindberg - Paladin - Banded Mail AC 4 + Stone Warden Shield (+2): AC 2 - HP: 13/27
Rician, immediately circles to the back of the tavern to see if Mustafa tries to duck out a back door. Tells the others to watch the front and sides.
Well saying, "Maybe we can wait till he comes back out or a couple of us can go inside."

Canis covers the front and is ready to enter when everyone is set.
Re: Part 2: Gladiator Initiations
Gildor
Gildor says, "Mustafa will recognize all of us from the party so we either need to go in and confront him or try and catch him tomorrow somewhere else. I'm ok either way. Things might get a bit rough in the bar if this is a friendly bar for Mustafa."

Krakus follows Canis. As he approaches he looks to see if there is any hired muscle covering the door.

Re: Part 2: Gladiator Initiations
There is a guard or two at the door but you wouldn't know if they are "new" or not they look more like the locals to Thyatis so chances are they've been the tavern door guards for a while.

Re: Part 2: Gladiator Initiations
What is the groups next move? Going into the tavern? Going somewhere else? Where are you going? What is the general plan here?

Re: Part 2: Gladiator Initiations
Canis sees Krakus back him up. He smirks and says "Let's go have a 'drink', eh?" and enters the tavern looking for their quarry.

Rician Lockwindberg - Paladin - Banded Mail AC 4 + Stone Warden Shield (+2): AC 2 - HP: 13/27
Rician's original intent was to hurry up around to the back so that Mustafa, doesn't try to leave the tavern that way.
Looks like Canis and Krakus are heading inside. Gildor is staying outside the front? or going inside?

Re: Part 2: Gladiator Initiations
At the rear entrance Rician finds it is covered by a singular guard, the rear entrance is a rather smelly dingy alley with what appears to be trash heaps, and smells of other things as well. There is guard near a door at the rear of the loosely termed "establishment" aside from the guard there is nobody else in the alley save for some actual rats in the filth, the guard eyes Rician but otherwise says nothing to him. Gildor, Hantae and the new guy "Pinn" are standing around out front. Krakus and Canis head into the place.

Hantae
Hantae was going around the right side of the inn and covering that side in case he went out a window or on the roof.

Re: Part 2: Gladiator Initiations
If that's the case that is the same as the "rear" of the building where Rician went. I know an image might have helped in this situation or a longer description of the area/building.Rex wrote:Hantae

Better Description of the Tavern: the main entrance is on the left side of the building the only window on the place is a pane sized window facing the street the rear exit is to the right ending in an alley the "back" of the building a very small alley that has another building next to it there are no windows or doors on this side of the building at the ground level. The second story does have a small balcony that has two doors that go back into what sounds like rooms with more patrons drinking and playing games.

Re: Part 2: Gladiator Initiations
Inside the Tavern
Most everyone goes into the tavern, which lives up to expectations from it's appearance. Inside is not much different from the outside the patrons are mostly lower class looking the tables and staff appear to be much of the same. The fellow behind the bar looks to be a former gladiator seeing the old gladiator tools mounted above the bar like a trophy indicates as much the tall muscular looking half-orc serves up a mug of ale to the very man you are seeking. Mustafa the Rat takes the mug of ale and wanders off to a shadowy dark table in a corner sits so his back is to the wall and he watches the room and drinks. Meanwhile the group makes it through the crowd to the bar themselves. The barkeep looks the group over and notices that they look to be great fighters "How might I help you lot? Looks as if you've seen a few great battles." then looking at Krakus he acts as if he recognizes the man "Hey didn't you fight that snow ape earlier today?" he pours a large mug of the fines ale he has and gives it to Krakus "It's on the house. That was a great fight you had and I think you earned this. Now what might I get the rest of you?" he asks. Looking around the tavern you see some women flirting and sitting on laps of men some exchange coin and head off up the stairs to the second floor. However you target remains where he is for the moment drinking and observing the room.
Outside the Tavern
Not much happens folk stroll by some go into the tavern out by the "rear" exit Rician and the guard watch each other. A few rats run up the alley by the rear door and eat from the refuse pile. For a moment the guard and Rician meet eye to eye and things feel a bit awkward as they look at each other for a bit too long for comfort then they break the gze lock and the guard begins to whistle and watches the rats. One rat begins to fight with the other over a piece of stale bread and the guard says to Rician "I bet a lucin the on on the left wins the fight."
