Yeah, it's a high-level thing. You can still perform arcane experimentation, to determine the magical qualities of items (but it's got a low probability of success at low levels, 5% per level basically).

Sorry for the string of quiet days--big shake ups at work making it harder to scrape time during the day and bleeding over into the evening. Expect a salvo later this morning, and thanks for your patience.

Nobody tell Ulf there's a drinking contest. If he finds out he missed one because he was laid up in bed recovering from the rot, he might just give up all desire to live.

Since the 20 on the Con roll doubled the penalty, I went ahead and did this in order to keep things moving. If you need me to go back and correct anything I will.

I just did a quick survey and discovered that characters have survived and developed more than I had been thinking!

We now have at least one third-level character in our ranks and a goodly number of second level characters, with an equal-sized group very close to breaking into second level themselves. Not bad--we'll see what kind of new boldness this translates into after Harrowing
