It might be wise to have shorter PCs at the front so those behind can still engage the enemy with missile weapons or hurled weapons or pole arms/spears
But then the barbarian and the fighter/magic-user have by far the best armour classes.

I suppose so though I'd think a healer closer to the front would be wiser to heal those of us in the front if we need healing. I'm also not keen on being thrown strategically or otherwise
