Arnar attacks Ogre 4...

Longsword +2 [1d20+2] = 19+2 = 21 Damage [1d12+2] = 3+2 = 5

(Don't forget his -4AC defensive bonus vs. giant-types if he gets attacked in retaliation! ;) )

Elam Xav; Human male Thief (former Cleric)

Elam calls out in common; "ANYBODY WHO CAN SPEAK ORC, TELL THEM WE'RE FREEING THEM FROM THE EVIL GIANTS!"; as he leaps over the fallen Giantess to get in position to swing his Staff at the Ogre (Ogre #4) facing Ethwig....

Attack w/Staff of Striking: 1d20+3: 1d20 = 10 Plus 3 for Staff +3 for a Final of 13
If that Hits the Ogre; Damage (2 charges for +6): 1d6 + 6: 1d6 = 5 Plus 6 for a total of: 11 damage

Jack, boy druid/wizard:

Looking even more pleased with himself than usual, the elfin boy retreats southwest, back the way he came, and stands in the doorway, looking at the orcs around him for the biggest, meanest, nastiest, smelliest one. Assuming it's a leader of sorts, the aged child casts another faerie spell, ensorcelling the orc with enchantments beguiling and bewitching.

Casts Charm Person or Mammal on the biggest Orc among Orcs 1-4 and 9-10.
Thanks.

Herzog: Engages with remaining Ogre. Probably taking the full action to get from point A to Point B near Ethwig, as Giants are hard for Gnomes to scramble over ;)

The Southern Kitchen.

Ogres fleeing, orcs stay put.

Ogres 4 and 5 are alive and kicking and heading toward the north-western exit of this kitchen area.

The dwarf gets in an attack as they turn to flee, slicing into ogre (4) causing him to trip, but keep running, now a step behind ogre 5! But the unlucky #4 takes another stike (literally) from the former cleric's staff, as Elam yells out for others to talk to the orcs! This sends the ogre sprawling face first over the table to the floor. He's bleeding profusely and no longer moves. The dwarf calls out to the orcs that they are free.

Jack moves southwest and starts to cast a spell using the words and movements to bring it to fruition.

As Herzog moves over to help, Ethwig dents the head of the surviving ogre a bit, but it's still running.

The ranger beats ogre 5 up to the hallway, causing the creature's steps to slow. Ogre 5 gets to about the southern end of that 40' wide passage, unsure about what to do.

Nessa continues to guard the very open eastern doorway.

Meanwhile Jack is able to finish his spell. As his words and movements cease, he sees Orc 1, in the southeast corner, look much kindlier to him. Almost friendly you'd say.

Meanwhile the orcs look to the dwarf as he yells. They smile directly at the dwarf and nod and make "shh" motions with their fingers as they point to the hall in the northwest corner. Arnar translates that the orcs nearest him are saying "excellent the dwarf and his friends are hear to kill the giants and set us all free!" The orcs, almost as one, seem to head toward that hall in the northwest of the room, following the ranger, but staying clear of the ogre who looks almost paralyzed by fear.

Meanwhile Phaeus finds it easy going running northward... though the north kitchen seems to have gotten real quiet.

PM to Phaeus. Please state your actions and make any corresponding rolls that may be needed. I'm going to try and get a map up too.

Below is the standard Marching Order:
--Sugarlump-- resting in important guests room
Phaeus -- Rosebud
--Arnor--
Ethwig -- Herzog
Sprites (inv/flying) -- Jack
Elam -- Nessa
TeddyB -- TBear waiting outside
There is a 15' silence sling bullet in the hallway, just outside the east exit, silencing the hall between the kitchen's exit and the Great Hall entrance.

Please let me know if there are any questions by posting in the "Questions for the DM" thread or let me know if I've missed anything.

Phaeus

The lone ranger and Rosebud run down the corridor, chasing after the fleeing giantesses. hearing the commotion behind he sees a stampede of orcs and grinning shouts to them in orcish, "swamp that brute and bring him down.", pointing to ogre 5. Hooded and cloaked in shifting shadow and face illuminated only by the blue glow of the sword, Phaeus hopes that he will be an image of fear and awe to the orcs and they will at least protect his rear.

At the end of the corridor, trying to keep the impetus of attack, Phaeus will strike down the nearest ogre or giant character to his immediate right. Rosebud will tear at their lower regions.

one attack this round: to hit (d20+4 = 5!)
Rosie bites left leg of opponent: (d20 = 9)

It seems neither of us attack successfully this round....

Phaeus will curse and kick out at the opponent and dog, muttering about "tripping over his fxxkin tail")

Arnar waits until nobody is engaged in melee with the giantesse (because she presumably pulls away from the party due to larger size), he throws his dwarven hammer at her, hoping to bring her down...

Hammer, Thrown, vs. Giant-types [1d20+3] = 3+3 = 6 Damage [3d4+3] = 4+3 = 7

Jack, boy druid/wizard:

Jack speaks to the charmed Orc in Common to see if it understands. If it does, he'll start asking lots of questions about everything.

If it doesn't speak Common, then Jack will indicate him with a smirk and say in Common, "This big, smelly, ugly, evil fiend will help any of us that can speak Orcish to it!
"I'm not allowed to speak Orcish or other swear words,"
he admits sullenly.

Either way, in Sprite-ish, Jack says to his invisible friends: "Spread out and scout around! Try to peer into the Feasting Hall through key holes and chimney holes and such! See if they've heard any of this racket. But don't open any doors! Now off with you my lads and be lively!"

The Kitchens

Ogre scared, orcs calming, orc 1 (the biggest one) looks downright friendly toward Jack.

Ogres 5 is alive but no so much kicking and stopped by the north-western exit of this kitchen area.

Phaeus continues his charge into the northern room of the kitchens. Yelling directions to the orcs, he charges into the northern kitchen with his trusty sidekick Rosebud at his side. Unfortunately both of them are unable to connect with attacks on the three more ogres and two more giantesses in this area. The orcs in this room seem to all be headed, pell mell, to the pantry door.
Image

Arnar attempts a hammer attack but is unable to find his target.

Ethwig rushes and attacks the surviving ogre, hurting the creature again but not bringing it down. Herzog joins the attack on the ogre, just barely missing it! The ogre, feeling cornered, tries feebly ([1d20] = 4) to counter attack, but misses horribly.

Nessa continues to guard the very open eastern doorway.

Meanwhile Jack is trying to communicate with the orc, but the orc just doesn't seem to understand, but he's still real friendly. The other orcs in the area don't seem to be aggressive at all, more watching what's going on and slowly making their way to the northern hallway. Except for Orc 11 and Orc 12. They seem to be moving behind the last surviving Ogre, now that it's engaged with Ethwig and Herzog. So Jack sends his sprites out to scout. But as he's doing that, he hears voices, ogrish voices, to the south, down the southern hallway.

Phaeus

The ranger presses forward with the deadly melee, stepping between the ogre and giantess 4. He has two attacks this round aiming to vleave both adveraries down. Dodging around the stores, Phaeus lunges to his left before riposting to his right.

1st attack: d20+4 = 5,
2nd attack: d20+4 = 16, (2d12 Max dam vs true giants, +4, +9 ranger melee bonus vs giant types = 37 damage).

Rosebud, all claws and vicious teeth, snarls at the ogre, tearing aggresively at his legs but in the commotion fails to savage him.

Jack, boy druid/wizard:

Jack smiled with mischief. "Good Arnor! You can speak Orc! Please ask my friend, (indicating the biggest orc, Orc 1) to lead all the Orcs here south against the smelly Ogres that are headed this way!"

If Arnor, or anyone else who speaks Orc, doesn't do this then Jack will attempt to mime it to his charmed friend. Pointing to all the orcs and then to the southern hall, then waving his staff in mock combat with a war face on.

Either way, if the Orcs do it, then Jack will pull up his Elven cloak's hood, pick up the silenced stone and throw it down the hall after the Orcs to quiet the Ogres. Then Jack will kick over some giant pots and pans, to continue the "cooking" sounds of the kitchen for the benefit of those in the Feasting Hall.

Elam Xav; Human male Thief (former Cleric)

Elam picks up his fallen Club and switches his Staff to his left 'off' hand while gripping the Club in his strong right hand and he moves to the other side of the archway leading south where Jack is saying Ogres might be coming from. Assuming the Orcs are cooperative, he'll move to a position to crouch low and prepare to launch a 'backstab' attack against any Ogre or Giant that comes into the room from that direction….

If a 'Hide in Shadows' or 'Move Silently' roll is needed; Elam's stats are: HS: 61%; MS: 75%
If an attack roll is needed; 1d20+4 for Backstab: [1d20+4] = 20+4 = 24 YEAH!

Damage: [1d6] = 6 x4 damage is 24! YAHOO!

Arnar nods at the child's request and shouts, in orcish, "Ogres are coming! Fight them with us and earn your freedom!"

Arnar then makes himself invisible and moves north to engage the giants and ogres. If one of the ogres is still not in melee with anyone, he throws his dwarven hammer at it...

Hammer, Thrown, vs. Giant-types [1d20+3] = 16+3 = 19 Damage [3d4+3] = 11+3 = 14
