Dungeon Master:

I'll just NPC the Hemlocks the Druid character, it's to far into the module now.

Alrighty.
Procyon hurls his javelin at the nearest goblin over his companions' heads. After I typed that now it seems like a risky option. If I am next to Elusev than it should be fine.
Javelin 'To Hit' Roll: [1d20] = 15 ; Damage: [1d6] = 1 S/M; [1d8] = 1 L
How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, ’n’ how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, ’n’ how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind

Elusev brings his bow up, having no time to switch to his sword as the kobolds charged them, and fired an arrow point blank at the kobold before him.

Long Bow(Specialized) Point Blank, To Hit: [1d20+5] = 11+5 = 16, Damage: S/M[1d6+2] = 6+2 = 8, L[1d6+2] = 4+2 = 6

Dungeon Master:

Arn, Elusev, Procyon & Teladrin all scored hits that dropped the 2 Kobold Guardsmen !!!

What do you all wish to do next?!

The south door is opened & dark beyond it from what you can tell.

Here is a Room Description for the Entry Foyer:

The spiral staircase twists three times before depositing you in a large room of solid stone.

The ceiling is about fifteen feet high.

There are two doors in the room, one on the east wall and the other in the center of the southern wall.

Both appear to be made of iron bound oak and seem to be quite sturdy.

The room has two stone altars carved into the southern wall.

They depict a pair of dwarves, but the dwarven faces have been vandalized beyond recognition.

Dwarven runes cover the north wall.

Under the runes is a stone table with one cracked leg, and two wooden stools.

Elusev will bend down briefly and check the kobolds for anything of worth. Standing back up and knocking another arrow he will softly call to the group, "Let's head to the south door, same one they were guarding. Keep your eyes and ears open, they had already called out so the element of surprise is lost." he will then carefully head to the southern partially opened door and peer in.

Arn guards the southern door while Elusev investigates the runes. Without actually going through he'll see if he can make out anything on the other side from the doorway.

Cayley

"So that is what a kobold looks like?"

[Assuming the dog is still with us] Cayley turns to the dog, "So which way to your mistress?"

Dungeon Master:

The Cooshee dog would be sniffing & growling at the partially opened south door, with it's fur standing on end!

As to the Runes seen above the stone table.

It appears to be anecdotes associated to the Dwarven Gods.

There is nothing of any worth on the Kobolds unless you want their half spears & or crossbow & bolt quivers.

Cayley

"It seems the dog thinks south is the best door." She adds with a smile, "Though it would seem we should expect some opposition."

Jenks checks the cracked table leg - could anything be hidden there or is it just poor workmanship/very old?

After retrieving his arrows Teladrin watches the southern door, arrow nocked.

Dungeon Master:

As Teladrin retrieves his arrows, he hears a commotion down the far end of the hallway.

As far as Jenks can tell of the cracked table leg, pulling on the area of the crack does not have a compartment pop out or anything.

So Jenks figures & may have been cracked during a battle.

Elusev knocks an arrow and heads over towards the group and the opened south door, speaking softly, "Seemed to be some Dwarven poems. Let us keep moving, keep your eyes and ears open for whatever was causing that noise..." he then will lead the group down the southern passage.

Dungeon Master:

As Elusev opens the door into the Southern passage 2 Crossbow Bolts come flying from the darkness:

Bolt #1: [1d20] = 14

Bolt #2: [1d20] = 17 : Hits for [1d4] = 1 of Damage on Elusev !

After that the party charges into the darkened hallway!

Elusev with his Infravision spots 2 kobolds down near another opened door at the end of the hallway & notes 2 other doors in the middle of which the one on the east side is opened !
