Njord tells the duke about Nine-tongues and his offer of peace while the wolves are being hunted. He also tells the duke about the huge wolf tracks found on the moor that support what the goblin said.

"Do you have any reason to believe this story about the wolves plotting against us? Apart from one hunter being attacked during the winter when the wolves were obviously very hungry, we've seen no evidence that they are antagonistic toward us.
"The news about this giant wolf is, however, quite disturbing. I would be willing to offer a bounty of 200 gold pieces for its pelt.
"I am unwilling to pursue any kind of truce with the goblins without something more tangible. If you can provide that, I will be glad to reassess the situation."

"We have no reason to believe him, M'Lord, but he did promise to withdraw from the forest if we took care of his wolf problem," Herrin says.
"If true, this is a way to rid yourself of the goblins without bloodshed. If it is not true...well we can take care of Nine Tongues in due course."

Ulf books meager accommodations and stocks up on rations
Common room accommodations: 5c
Rations, 15 days - 7.5g * 1.2 = 9g
He thinks to himself that he'll need to find some coin soon if he's not to starve. In the meantime, he hangs about the tavern looking for people to join the upcoming mission.

Herrin will acknowledge his assent and politely take his leave, then return to the tavern to look for recruits.

OK, feel free to post in the tavern with whatever kind of mission you're trying to organize! (or leave it to others, if you prefer that route)

Varas is especially interested in the value of the dwarven coins - are they simply silver pieces, or do they have added value?
The Duke would be interested in delightfully rare baubles of that sort and willing to pay 50 gold pieces each for them as a set of souvenirs. Like Franklin Mint plates, they are guaranteed(TM) to rise in value!

Loot-splitting discussion moved to tavern.

Sorry for confusion - if you want to investigate items, use Town Business. If you want to discuss loot splitting, use the Tavern.

I would think about it this way--if you're discussing with your mates how to split the loot, where would you be positioned to do it? Clearly at the Tavern or in someone's inn room (if we get new and interesting locations like a Fortress of Solitude or something, I'll add threads for those, don't worry).
On the other hand, if you're sitting around discussing loot and a question comes up about the value or usefulness of something that one of your party members can't answer, you need to get out the door and go asking questions--that's what the Town Business thread is for.

Varas goes shopping on March 7, buying various items.
50' silk rope (10 gp), grappling hook (1 gp), 10 days iron rations (5 gp), bunch wolfsbane (10 gp), and will sell his longsword (10 gp) = 36*1.2 markup = 43.2 gp. He sells his short sword for 7 gp, putting him out 36.2 gp.
He then returns to the tavern to plan for the next foray into the lands north of Vaul.

Quirin requests an audience with the Duke. He tells him of their discovery of the watch tower, the slaughter of the goblins inside (probably by wolves), the dwarven loot claimed, the conversation with the goblin prisoner and subsequent revelations/lies told by it, the trek to the nearest wolf den and the battle that ensued, and the goblin corpses found within.
The elf will describe the weapons found and show the Duke one of the coins.

What revelations do you relate?
What do you identify as lies told by the goblin?
Do you have a specific agenda to pursue with this meeting, in terms of outcomes?

How about if we take credit for the goblin kills? Might help us get that reward later. Varas is not so bound by his honor that he's above stretching the truth. Or, when we show the coins we could just say we took them from dead goblins. We can mention that the wolves attack them too, as we found dead gobbos in the wolf den.
