Ogre will throw whatever he can into his pack and pockets and then pick up sword and shield and stand ready to aid his companions whether the decision is to take the fight to the slave lords or leave this place with the freed slaves....

Day 1– In the complex – 10:55 a
The Slave Pits

All I apologize for letting this stagnate. Work has been... work. But hopefully we can reignite the action, especially since I know what's coming

As the party decides what to do with the slaves and their prisoners, they pack up to go.
They discuss whether to open one of the two doors, to go through the northern passageway, or backtrack through the southern passageway (with the passage that led north to the slaver bosses) that Lul told them about.

Eljayess and Elwita, watching the northern passageway out, both see an insect creature peek his head around. It makes a call behind it as the creature pulls it's head back.

The freed slaves are milling about now, asking the party to free them, calling out to one another, trying to decide themselves what to do.

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Presumably no one objects to letting all the slaves out?

Dredd will finish of freeing whoever is still locked in, manacled etc, trusting the fighters to deal with the insect men

Phanstern closes his eyes and concentrates momentarily, mentally releasing the victims of his curse, then glares at the merchant, mere inches from his face. Tell me of the Slavers! Where are they hiding? How many are there? What are their professions? Speak quickly, you fat tub of goo!

"We got company, get ready and let's get going." Eljay slides toward the doorway, spear at the ready.

Freda asks,"Is it the slave masters?"

She readies her bow and approaches the doorway.

Ogre frowns as he sees the Insect man poke his head in and then back out....he's not sure what that means; if anything. Turning to the others while readying his Shield and Sword he says; "I think we should get these people outta here quick as we can.....they don't need to be here for a bit throw-down...whadya guys think?"

Day 1– In the complex – 10:56 a
The Slave Pits

.

Dredd goes about freeing slaves with the keys from the big orc’s belt.
What are you doing, these slaves can fetch a good price? Lul asks, garnering glares and murmurs from the slaves.

Eljayess and Elwita, at the northern passageway, let the others know that they saw an insect creature and prepare for battle. Freda moves over to join them. The slaves, after the updates, start moving to the south area of the room, except for crossbow bolt in the torso guy, who moves toward the north, and Arno and Ted who hang out in the middle. Ogre moves up a bit to keep an eye on what's going on.

Phanstern releases the paralysis and questions the merchant and his henchman (who both immediately start struggling against their bonds): Tell me of the Slavers! Where are they hiding? How many are there? What are their professions? Speak quickly, you fat tub of goo! The fat merchant, looking quite silly without his jaunty cap, is sweating profusely and answers, screaming I don’t know! I don’t know!! We only ever dealt with the orcs and an occasional half-breed. I know nothing of The Nine and I’ve never even met Sturm, though I know some who have. I’m just a business man, please let me go!

Time to update the map methinks. Double crossed out baddies are dead and pooling blood, red font is the slaves and bad guys, the green font are slaves taking more of an active role in their surroundings and Lul, and then there’s you guys in brown. :)

Blodgett will move to the northern part of the room, behind Elwita and Eljay. He whispers to them More bug men? I don't like this... His short sword is drawn from the scabbard and at the ready.

That may indeed be a good plan, especially if our merchant keeps screaming.

Keep your voice down, fool! What do you know of Sturm? Hearing the rumors of more Bug-men, Phanstern tries to hurry the interrogation. If the merchant and Fighter type have daggers, he will take them.

"The Nine?" We could be out-numbered AND out-gunned!

I'd prefer to avoid bug men when possible, as they were going to pound us last time... Lets go back the way we came and head north towards the boss's area where Lulu pointed it out.

Day 1– In the complex – 10:57 a
The Slave Pits

.

As the others continue preparations and discussions, the illusionist continues his questioning:
Keep your voice down, fool! What do you know of Sturm?
Both the merchant and his guard's eyes widen in surprise. The guard lets out a short laugh as the merchant responds, why, he's The Nine's representative at this location. Didn't you know that? Who are you? He blurts it all out without thinking.
The guard continues chuckling and murmurs, you guys are so dead.

They both had weapons. The merchant's was already taken, so they are weaponless at this point.

Not wanting hings to get out of hand Kayen exchanges a few words with his charmed thrall. "Do not worry Lul, they know what they are doing. You see, there is a group of wealthy people that will be paying us a lot more money for these slaves freed than enslaved." he tops it off by winking at the orc.

Phanstern gives the pair a furrowed eyebrow and stuffs the merchant's cap into his mouth, and re-gags the Fighter. Unless he's interrupted by action. If we're going, let's go! His plan is to throw a Color Spray at Bug-men if they arrive to harrass the party.

EDIT: Since Blodgett has the cap, the Illusionist will use the merchant's sweaty sock instead!

"Ogre I don't think it would be a bad idea if you gave these two a rap around the head to send them to sleep for a while. Not too hard mind as we don't want to kill them....well not unless they cause more trouble!"
Assuming the fighter complies, Dredd asks for help to drag them into separate cells, well spaced apart so they can't reach each other, before locking them in.

Or Blodgett will be happy to give it back... it doesn't fit him too well as the merchant has quite a fat head... much larger than the Halfling's.

I tell the others to get moving, and evacuate, as I stand hammers ready in case I have to do a rear-guard action.
