Romer double checks to make sure the guard is dead.

He looks back at the others, shrugging, saying, Boring conversation anyway. Thanks for the assist.

The securidoor before you is made of reinforced alloys strong enough to withstand heavy weapons fire, the kind several of you will be familiar with as they're used in prisons and important government installations. The ambient light on the holopanel to the right of the door glows a soft red, indicating that the door is locked. To open it you'll either need someone with verified access, or for someone to attempt to break into the facility's security grid.

While he is checking the guard, Romer checks the corpse for an access card or fob or something.

Silas holsters his pistol and, after waiting for a while to make sure no one else is coming down the stairs, joins the others by the sealed door.

"Pilfer, reckon you can get us through?"

The dead soldier's right hand should still contain the bio-ID signature for unlocking the main door, though a successful hack on the may grant access to the entire facility's security systems.

"On it," Benedict says with an unprecedented smile.

Thanks to his earlier preparation and familiarisation of the facility's security system, Benedict only needs a few seconds to execute his hacking attempt. Establishing a wireless connection to the securidoor's access panel with his dataslab, he loads the pre-compiled access string and... nothing. It seems that the cyberscape firmware has been updated since the site was reclaimed. Hastily running a covert escape module, the hacker manages to avoid detection by the system and logs out without leaving any sign of his subversion attempt, though this may complicate things.
Your DC for Subverting a System was 10+1 for it being Minor Government hardware.
Your Hacker 2 focus lets you roll 3 and drop the lowest, so I rolled one more die for you which came up as 5; total score: 9. Because you failed you need to to make a second roll at the same DC to avoid detection, which came up as 11 exactly (5+4+2), so you managed to avoid alerting anyone to your presence.
Any further attempts to hack the facility's security systems will be at incremental +1 difficulty for the next 24 hours, but due to your Hacker 2 focus once you're in, you'll have control for this entire infiltration.

So if I try again (within the next 24 hours) the DC is 12 on 3d6?

Benedict will attempt to hack into the system again and attempt to Suppress a System by turning off the video surveillance.

DC: 10 Hacking a System: [_3d6+2] = (4+5+1)=10+2 = 12

With a few on-the-fly changes to his infiltration program, P1LF3R's second hack attempt is much more successful. In a manner of seconds the base's security cameras are completely offline; if anyone was watching the feeds they'll be alerted, so time is now of the essence.

After Benedict is done disabling the security cameras, Silas nods to everyone to check that they're ready before touching the soldier's wrist against the securidoor access panel. There's a sharp beep to register the code, then the light turns green as the door slides open, revealing the entrance lobby of the facility. Two guards are present, one sat behind the desk frantically typing away at the holopad keyboard, likely trying to figure out what happened to the cameras. The second is leaning on the counter, but looks up as the door opens. "Finally, MG. Are your comms down or-"

Upon realising you aren't MG, he draws his sidearm and demands answers. "Who the hell are you? Where's MG?!" His tone suggests he may not wait for an answer...
The two guards aren't wearing full combat dress like the former one was, instead wearing Security Armour (AC 14), and they both carry Laser Pistols.

Focused and humorless, Stavros wave his hand curtly and invokes another mote of nothingness, disagregating the particles of the guard.
Targeting whichever is still standing when it gets to my turn.

Romer takes a shot at one of them:
Laser pistol att [1d20+2] = 1+2 = 3, dmg [1d6+1] = 2+1 = 3

Oh man, what's with these rolls?

Laser pistol still in hand, Silas shoots at the soldier asking too many questions.

Laser Pistol: Attack [1d20+4] = 14+4 = 18, damage on hit [1d6+3] = 1+3 = 4, damage on miss [1d4] = 3

"MG sends her regards!"

"I hate art critics," Benedict says as he aims and fires at the guard sitting at the desk.

Laser Pistol: [1d20+2] = 9+2 = 11 Damage: [1d6] = 3

Caught on the back foot, the two security guards are initially overwhelmed by the crew's assault and the one standing is dropped unceremoniously by Silas and Damian. The second guard manages to drop behind the desk to block Benedict and Romer's attacks, and his blind fire catches Silas as the pilot moves into position.
Silas takes 3 damage, a new round starts!

HP: 5/8

Silas dives for cover, but takes a laser bolt to the shoulder all the same.
"Ugh! Shit, you'll pay for that one!"

Laser Pistol: Attack [1d20+4] = 5+4 = 9, damage on hit [1d6+3] = 6+3 = 9, damage on miss [1d4] = 2

Using the wall and desk as cover, Benedict moves into the room along the desk to where the first guard was standing.

Damian Stavros swipes with his hand, some equipment on the counter exploding as collateral damage as a misplaced micro-black hole opens on its surface.
