OOC Chat III
Re: OOC Chat III
I thought we'd had Kurot repair more than that in one go before. The limiting factor for an android is the cost and availability of parts, not necessarily HP per day, although maybe there's a limit to how many repairs an android can make in one day?
Re: OOC Chat III
Oh, I see that the last round of repairs was during 7 days of R&R: viewtopic.php?f=187&t=7999&p=395851&hil ... ir#p395851
And Bruce did two self-repair cycles here: viewtopic.php?f=187&t=7511&p=392377&hil ... ir#p392376

OK, that makes sense.Zhym wrote:Oh, I see that the last round of repairs was during 7 days of R&R: viewtopic.php?f=187&t=7999&p=395851&hil ... ir#p395851

Bruce's was for multiple days as well (Wayback Machine reference).
Go ahead and make two self-repairs per day. I'll change the character sheets.
Re: OOC Chat III
Is there any "magical" way to boost daily healing? Biologicals can get psionic healing, and potions are probably a thing. Is an android stuck with 2d4 healing per day no matter what?
ETA: Oh! And the healing rules are on Kurot's sheet: "Self-repair die = 1d4; INT v. DC5 + hit points to repair. 1d7 sp per hp repaired. 2d3 turns."
So he also needs to roll a DC to self-repair? Although I'm not sure what "INT v. DC5 + hit points to repair" means. Does that mean to repair, I need to roll 1d4, then a DC(5+result of first roll), then (result of first roll)xd7? And I can do that twice per day?
That's...baroque.

Re: OOC Chat III
One would have to find either a technological device or someone familiar with android repair to go beyond the self-healing limit. The Gam'A zone would be a good place to look!Zhym wrote:Is there any "magical" way to boost daily healing? Biologicals can get psionic healing, and potions are probably a thing. Yeah, I'm not sure where that came from. Probably Crawling Under a Broken Moon. MF just states self-repair as an amount per day. Lets go with 2d4 (currently) per day and scratch the DC roll.ETA: Oh! He may try again in 24 hours.Zhym wrote:"Strange. It seemed so simple when you did it."

Re: OOC Chat III
The three vertical slots have some slight depressions that could provide grip for an ascent. It would be difficult, so he will need to make three (3) Strength checks (1d20+2) against a DC of 15. One each for the beginning, the ascent and the end.Ardak2000 wrote:OOC: Is there any indication that Bruce might be successful attempting to scale the inside of the tube?

FYI: The character sheets for Kurot, Bruce, Ron and Denslow have been updated.

Absolutely.shaidar wrote:ooc: Can I spend luck on this roll?
Re: OOC Chat III
I should have though to ask for the blaster roll, oh well, doesn't matter.
I'll spend 3 points to get from 17 to 20.

Re: OOC Chat III
Actually, you will need to spend 6 to get 20. I forgot the Complexity Modifier (3).shaidar wrote:I should have though to ask for the blaster roll, oh well, doesn't matter.

The blaster was a 'freebie'.
Re: OOC Chat III
ooh, you've got me intrigued now, so ok I'll spend the 6 points.
Re: OOC Chat III
Probably not just a flashlight, then.

Re: OOC Chat III
Okay, a really advanced flashlight. Like, even fancier than that Atomic Light I see on the TV all the time.
Re: OOC Chat III
do either the blaster or stun baton have a power level indicator?

You can't tell.shaidar wrote:do either the blaster or stun baton have a power level indicator?

Re: OOC Chat III
After reviewing the MCC rules, it doesn’t make sense that when trying to figure out the workings of an artifact one uses their Artifact Roll bonus (which includes the Intelligence modifier) but when trying to learn from someone else they use just their Intelligence modifier.
Hence forth, when trying to learn artifact use from someone else, characters will use their Artifact Roll bonus added to their primary Action Die (currently d20).

makes sense!

You still have the 6in balls to inspect.Norjax wrote:Ron and Frank exit the corridor and enter the pod car. (Make saves; double moves) They perform a quick survey of the vehicle, finding a burnt corpse, the dead blaster bug, the blaster weapon lying on the floor, two 6in gray-brown balls inside the remains of a charred net-like sack and several short swords scattered about. Each dead insectoid wears a body harness made from silk-like strands, the burnt one’s is singed but not burned through. Kurot notices a 1ft long metal rod hooked to the dead Scavenger’s body harness.
Re: OOC Chat III
The Complexity Modifier is 5, so your roll is adjusted to 21. If you want a 27 (Understand item precisely), you must spend 6 Luck Points.shaidar wrote:Silvestri shakes his head and picks up the odd balls found by the bodies of the insects.

ooc: here's an artifact roll, assuming the same helpers:
artifact roll: [1d20+13] = 13+13 = 26
I'll spend a point of luck to bring it up to 27.
