Keilif:
Keilif nudges the crumpled goblin with his foot to ensure that it is truly dead. He then rushes to the window and attempts to grab the other goblin to prevent it from escaping out the window.

on the condition that he arrived on the scene as indicated ? searches the fallen goblin for clanking items that Doubtful could use for his requested tripwire setup. I e a helmet, or hooks & loops, a shoulder plate part etc.

Re: 1) The Haunted House
Goblin Hideout
Round last
Shoo-fly hisses and bats one paw at Vhing for touching him while he is eating. The orcman slowly gets to his feet, still rather woozy, and relieves himself on Danny of his guard duties. Burly shouts over a warning about being careful, which Vhing in turn ignores. Danny then runs into the room to see how he can help. He fiddles in his pocket for some black dust along the way.
Vhing can only discern a path on the floor from about the center of the room towards and up the stairs. There are no prints of any kind, just a noticeable path. He finds nothing else of interest in the room.
The far more experienced Doubtful shakes his head at the chaos and nods over the idea to relieve Burly of his position. The baker happily obliges and looks in on the battle before moving to join Vhing.
The battle draws to an end.
Several members try to get at the fleeing goblin but, only those already surrounding the window can safely attack the wretch.
Alec Goblinslayer tears the head off of the goblin he just killed and chucks it at his fleeing friend. It hits him very hard in the shoulder, shattering both bone and skull. Ermulf stabs the creature in the ass with his pitchfork and the goblin screeches out before dropping head first outside the window. Only, he can't put his crushed arm out to stop his fall. His head hits the hard ground first and, with a disgusting noise, the ugly things neck snaps.
Now that you get a little closer look at the room you see three large piles of dried weeds, one in each corner, and a small hole burned into the middle of the floor. The remains of what must have been chairs are smashed and stacked near the burned out circle. There is broken crockery and smashed china scattered through the floor.
The goblins carry a total of 15 gold pieces in random coins. Danny finds one helmet and a few buckles.
Injuries:
Jonas, slightly
Vhing, seriously

Vhing Cranepool
"No distinct footprints in the dusty trail. Could be just the goblins, maybe someone or something else?" Vhing explains to Burly. Not wanting to risk the ire of ' da boss' for scouting upstairs, Vhing will instead listen at the door opposite the goblin room. "Come on Burly, we can search this room, 'old mother Hubbard' can search the cupboards to get her poor moggy a bone."he whispers with a wink, indicating Doubtful standing by the kitchen door. If he hears nothing and the door is not locked Vhing will push it open with a boot and quickly dodge to one side of the frame to avoid any arrows.

Burly shrugs at the idea. "Sounds as good a plan as any. Hopefully there isn't any more goblin archers waiting on us."
Rolling pin in hand, Burly follows Vhing into the room.

Following the fray, Keilif offers a prayer of thanks to Shiliel and joins Vhing and Burly to investigate the room across the hall.

Doubtful
Trying to plan what the next move is to be, Doubtful frets over searching the downstairs rooms and keeping everyone safe and relatively together while we still have light...
Doubtful examines the outside light from where he is standing, using windows and the open door they entered, to try and determine how long until sunset.

Re: 1) The Haunted House
The inquisitive Keilif pokes around in the unused fireplace. (apparently the goblins were too stupid to realize what a fireplace is) He finds nothing inside until he takes a closer look up the chimney. He finds a loose brick on the inside, just above the mantle. The brick almost looks as though it was designed as a small secret hidden spot to store something. Unfortunately, the void behind the brick is empty, however.
Some of the group begins to branch out again, and are about to open the door across the hall.
You can tell that is still very early afternoon from the light that is coming through the many dirty windows.

Keilif:
Spotting the hidden compartment in the fireplace, Keilif's hopes rise at the prospect of finding something useful for himself and the group; however, his spirits are quickly dampened after the hidden compartment reveals nothing. He thinks to himself, "We must be better equipped before venturing too much further into this dark home. I fear for our group more and more." Feeling a little dejected and on edge, Keilif rejoins the others to investigate the room across the hall.

hands over the goblin helmet and buckles to Doubtful, with an obscure, but well meant Wix' phrase: "Hold to good!" (meaning "Here you are, mate"), then waits to see if Doubtful needs tripwire rigging help.

Ermulf Jormundson
Ermulf gathers himself after the fight, glad to see nobody died, but terrified after realizing how close the half orc had become. He ponders this for a second before coming back to his senses. seeing that this room was pretty empty, Ermulf uses his pitchfork to sift the piles of seaweed, looking for anything of value.

Re: 1) The Haunted House
Ermulf uses his weapon as a normal farm implement and rakes around in the goblins beds. Although they are "weed beds" they are not made from seaweed. It is wild stuff that grows all around the area. He finds nothing of value in his search, unless he values goblin feces, that is.
Jervis inquiries about what Burly saw in the kitchen as Danny gives his newfound clinking items to da boss.
After a serious case of learning from your mistakes, Vhing caaaarfully opens the door across the hall from the dining room. As he moves away quickly, he gets extremely woozy and nearly falls. A good indication that he is still very weak from his injuries.
This room contains two stuffed armchairs that sit near the fireplace. The frames are intact but the stuffing has been ripped out long ago. There is also evidence that there was once a nice table in this room because there is rotten pieces of wood from it strewn throughout the floor. Spiderwebs are prevalent in here, especially in and around the brick fireplace.

Keilif:
Thinking of his recent find in the fireplace from the other room, Keilif is immediately drawn to the fireplace in this room; however, the spiderwebs give him pause. "Be wary of those webs in the fireplace. It might be wise to clear them out before we go sticking our noses in there. Anyone have a torch? As long as we have something to start a fire with, we can always use pieces of this old furniture as torches."

Vhing Cranepool
After poking it with the shaft of his hammer (just making sure no beasties nest inside) Vhing will sit in one of the arm chairs and take a thirsty swig of his wineskin.
Looking at the spiderwebs he has an idea. He delves into his satchel and pulls out some stale cheese and bread portions."Sorry to admit this Burly baker but I hate crusts..".Vhing peals long strips of old crust and from his chair begins to flicks them into the nether reaches of the hearth and thickest webs, munching on the rest. By irritating the web strands, he wants to mimic a caught juicy morsel and provoke any spiders to appear. Offering a sandwich to Keiliff and Burly ( and wine too of course), they can also have some finger flicking fun...should no spiders appear or after any dangerous ones are dealt with...and before the remains are burned away...
"now here is the wisdom in all that. Spider webs contain a powerfull blood clotting agent and orcs (and jungle veterans) wrap huge swaths of them up into fist sized balls to place over wounds."Vhing will demonstrate by carefully putting his hand in the web and spinning it round, coiling a swath of sticky cotton wool like material. He places it over his throat wound, tieing it off with a grubby handkerchief.

Jónas Gillman
Jónas points at the buckles Danny found on the goblins: "After we finish here, I can use those to make some nice leather belts for us or to sell...
He listens with interest to Vhing's lecture about spider webs. The firefighter/fighter never ceases to amaze/disgust him.
He find a good chunk of wood (a table leg, for example) to fashion into a torch and steps up to Keilif. "Let's use this to clear the fireplace," and, if they can light the torch, shoves it into the fireplace.

Doubtful
Doubtful carefully searches the kitchen while he is here. While he is doing so he is also carefully setting aside any pots/pans/silverware/sundries he could use to tie to tripwires.
Checking the stairs to see if they look as if they have been used recently and how stable they might be.
Checking the window to see if it could be opened quietly and used as an entrance/exit in the future.
Hearing Vhing's voice from the other room expounding on new education for the masses tells Doubtful the half-orc is still alive and conscious. Wouldn't listen to anybody about lying down anyway.

Burly slaps his forehead in disbelief. "The crust is the best part! Especially when basted with butter or garlic or sprinkled with salt. Oh, my friend, I must teach you the glory of bread crusts!"Stirling wrote:Looking at the spiderwebs he has an idea. Burly shakes his head sadly, watching Vhing flick pieces of crust into the fireplace...but with all the ranting, it doesn't stop him from accepting a sandwich. "What am I eating anyway? Er, nevermind, I don't want to know."
While the others are mauling this room, Burly returns to the first door he opened and the room he never go to explore. "Jervis, you coming with?"
