Neev on his way in passes Alanis who is headed outside to talk with Eirik and potentially anyone that actually followed him out.

You wont get anything more than you have already. He will only confirm what his leader told you and the same that the injured man told you. Except this man will admit to helping dig up the heirlooms from the graves.

I'd say we are done here then. We toss them all back in the cell and head back to the Inn.GreyWolfVT wrote:You wont get anything more than you have already. Re: Part 3: Welcome to Tragidore!
Alanis tries to gather everyone and looks for the ones missing that went to the jail. "I had a dream that there was a beautiful woman taking the men from town. Then she turned into some sort of winged demon thing. I suspect this was a premonition dream and perhaps there is stronger forces causing the troubles here than we anticipated."

Theodore to Alanis:
"Hmm, so more & more it appears, at the least, that a beautiful female, now mayhaps, a guise by a winged demon, a succubus or vampire perhaps, is the bait that draws the men to whatever their fate may be."
"No mention of any beautiful singing so i guess we can rule out harpies."

Re: Part 3: Welcome to Tragidore!
Alanis replying to Theodore "I'd not rule out harpies yet Theodore in the dream I saw the one woman but there were others around her possibly more of the winged demons or harpies I'm not sure. I just know it was not a good dream, and I think it bears truth in our situation here somehow tied to it. I know it disturbed me to awaken from a sound sleep."

"So I think go with the bandits as bait plan. They can attone for their misdeeds by helping the town. We can then follow these mysterious creatures and see where they have taken the other humans.""
Re: Part 3: Welcome to Tragidore!
of course your dream could be a real trick, certain spells may could do it and while you slept may have been casted on you alanis. What would harpies want with these men anyway, to breed them or feed on them. I still think a necromancer and a female at that maybe at work or perhaps a vampress, nasty indeed, we maybe way over our heads and and,... Dune calms down.

Alanis to Dune "Trust me I had my room quite well secured, no spell was cast upon me that is why I silenced the room. I cast some spells to ensure the room was safe for me. But take my words as you wish. I for one think that a trap might be a wise choice in the matter I care not if it is the bandits from the road or one of us."

Eirik sighs deeply If we're dealing with some sort of supernatural monster, I worry about giving her additional minions with which to further plague this town. Would it be possible for us to somehow capture or imprison such a creature? Can your magics assist allow us to hold and question her safely?

Re: Part 3: Welcome to Tragidore!
Alanis looks to Eirik "Well I cannot speak for Dune or Gandrel whom I suspect knows some magics. But as for me it really depends on how well the thing such as a Harpy, or Succubi succumbs to the spell they can be quite resistant to spells so it is a gamble. Not much different from asking if you can slay a dragon."

Re: Part 3: Welcome to Tragidore!
I think we could ambush who ever the culprit is female or not we may want to bait one of us men. Then the rest of us lay in wait and follow. Dune retorts. The bandits probably can't be trusted. I think a simple volley of our magic missiles will stamper this situation if its an individual. What say you friends?

Alanis "I don't think even using magical means to hold one of the bandits as bait would work likely a beast such as what i believe is involved here would not be so easily fooled I think. But we can go back into the rooms and finish our spell preparations and sleep if you all would like."

That's probably a good idea, Alanis Eirik says We have another night of exertion coming up soon, and the more rested we are, the better. Though I fear we might need to go back to plan on using one of us as bait--there are already enough unknowns that I fear adding in the bandits if we do not need to.

Neev shakes his head affirmatively. "Though the bandits need to atone for their sin and crime, I don't believe using them as bait will net us a catch. The only way we will get them to co-operate will be through magical means and I am sure whatever it is taking the men will notice the enchantment. We are best served by resting the night and preparing ourselves for the morrow."
