Hey guys,

I'm thinking that maybe I need to make some ability checks for you guys, but wanted to get your thoughts. If we take the example of Haroun trying to sense magic, the roll was obviously high, so you don't know if there is or not. Inna 'meta game' sense, this might encourage Xantius to take a stab. And of course if the roll were low, and I said there was no magic, you would be 100% confident that was the case.

So, what do you guys think about me rolling offline for certain checks?

I don't mind personally, but my character isn't as skill focused as the others so my opinion is a bit skewed

Im okay with you making those rolls - this group is pretty fast-moving and posting, but it would keep things moving that much quicker...

Yes, also happy. I usually roll some checks in my face to face group so no problems with you doing it.

Ok, thanks for the input guys. I suggest then that I make the following perception rolls from now on (offline):

check for traps
hear noise
sense magic

There may be others that pop-up, but these are the ones I can think of at the moment.

@sonofotho: How do you feel the game is going so far, pacewise? Feels like we're moving along much better than most PbP games I've experienced in the past, though we still aren't very far in...

I am always happy to get positive feedback from the players! Seems to me that we have a great group here!

Regarding pacing, to be honest I have been feeling a bit guilty with posting from my side. The last two weeks have been a bit hectic for me, e.g. I had planned to get a post out last night, but couldn't make it.

And just a heads-up, I am travelling from Thur evening thru Sunday evening, so there may be some larger gaps in my posting. Apologies in advance.

Next post from me coming later today!

Hey guys - sorry for the silence. Been in London since Thursday. I had hoped to post along the way, but that never really materialized. I blame the pubs.... Thanks for hanging in there!

So, our first combat. Hope this goes smoothly! Let me know if you have questions or if you see me doing things that you don't understand. It's my first 4S combat!

I keep trying to PM you Captain, but it never leaves the outbox... Whereabouts are you in the UK?

Meanwhile, I've registered for the dice roller but no sign of my registration confirmation email so I can't access it yet.

No idea if I am acting out of turn, but I was hoping to have held an action until the zombie was knocked clear. It might already be dead, too... Errm, re-killed? Destroyed?
