Fendt "I sure could use that flaming sword a paladin I knew once carried. Rommel where are you old friend?" he takes another swing with his mace. Footman's Mace[1d20+1] = 19+1 = 20 Dmg[1d6+2] = 6+2 = 8

Tib will cast his Web spell in between the doorway, trying to block out as many as possible that haven't entered yet, while still trying to stick as many that are in the room as possible.

It's actually everyone within 30 feet. A range listed as 3" means 3 scale inches, and 1" = 10' indoors. So everyone is covered.

Date: Nouluna 5, 1221
Time: 10:02 PM - Combat Round 2
Weather: Rain
Moon: Full
Location: Castle Ravenloft, Beyond the Fireplace
**************************************

Initiative is simultaneous this round.

Agrippo dodges the one-armed zombie in front of him, but the zombie's other arm leaps from the floor and grabs the warrior by the neck! Dirty gray-green claws dig into Agrippo's throat, strangling him (Agrippo: -7 HP). Agrippo brings the Sunsword down on the disembodied arm, severing the hand at the wrist. The hand around Agrippo's throat relaxes and falls to the ground. The zombie in front of him does likewise. The next zombie back climbs over the fallen one to take its place in attack.

Castran switches to blades and moves to engage the zombie to Agrippo's left flank. The zombie dodges Castran's shortsword—a zombie dodged? Yes, it did!—but that gives the gnome the opening he needs to bury his left-hand axe blade in the zombie's shoulder. The blow detaches the zombie's arm at the shoulder. Agrippo follows with a mighty blow of the Sunsword. The zombie's other arm falls off at the elbow. Both arms move to attack.

The zombie in front of Fendt bites the elf's nose. Blood starts to flow as Fendt finds himself with the mother of all bloody noses (Fendt: -5 HP). Fendt, wishing he had a flaming sword, brings his mace hard across the zombie's side. The zombie falls to the ground, motionless, with bits of Fendt's nose still lodged in its mud-brown teeth. Another zombie moves in. A disembodied zombie hand grabs Fendt around the ankle, doing minimal damage (Fendt: -1 HP).

Melampus decides to get back at the zombie that sneered at him. He moves to Fendt's right and flails the zombie right in the face. The force of the blow knocks a leg free. The zombie's sneer turns to a growl. It hops and claws at the cleric, but cannot get past his armor.

Bragar backs away from melee and continues chanting. Tumbler continues observing. Robert can't find any openings in melee.

Tibbius says a couple of words ("arachnis serico") and conjures forth a mass of sticky webs. All the zombies are caught motionless in the web except, oddly enough, for the one in the middle, which slowly brushes the webs aside and moves forward. Three disembodied zombie parts also remain free of the webs.

Castran will attack the nearest zombie creature or part to his position. The spellblade hacks at it with his weapons eagerly.
Nice spell work he says over his shoulder, one wizard to another.

Shortsword [1d20+2] = 10+2 = 12: [1d6+2] = 5+2 = 7 damage : Dagger [1d20-1] = 19-1 = 18: [1d4+1] = 4+1 = 5 damage

+ the 1 from the chant spell. Doesn't it take 10 rounds to cast?

FYI - Attacks into the web risk getting your weapons caught in the web. You can attack z3 and z4 without risk of entanglement because those two are only partially entangled. On the other hand, those two can also attack anyone within range (although at a penalty). You can, of course, back away from these two zombies to prevent them from attacking. Melee or ranged weapon attacks on z5, z6, or z7 are likely to result in entangled weapons.

On the other hand, an attack on a zombie held in the web is an automatic kill. So it's a question of whether you want to risk getting your weapon stuck in exchange for the automatic kill.

Fendt back steps a bit and swings again with his mace. Footman's Mace[1d20+1] = 3+1 = 4 Dmg[1d6+2] = 2+2 = 4
so apparently a bite to the nose ends my sweet rolls. Back to the usual i see.... :?

"Burning hands spell should see them off, anybody got the old zappy fingers readys?", Agrippo will coup-de-grace a tangled zombie going for a decapitation so he can then kick the loose head down the corridor.

single attack: to hit is 19 (boosted by spell to 20) damage is 12 in total

"he chops, head rolls, he shoots he scores yeah!" Agrippo high fives the limp hand of Iluq.

Robert moves up to shield Iluq while he is immobile from the poison and attacks A3 with shield and scimitar. Robert looks for a flank attack that won't get him into any webs. "Back to the underworld foul creature",says Robert.

Scimitar +1 to hit[1d20 +1] = 2+1 = 3 Damage[1d8+1] = 1+1 = 2

But in his haste to get there he trips over Iluqs feet as he was paying attention to the zombie and not where he was going.

With the zombies tangled in Tibbius's Web, you work on eliminating your undead foes. But the zombies move first. Although their bodies are trapped, a leg, a hand, and an arm are able to attack. All miss.

Castran slices and stabs the arm in front of him. It falls motionless to the ground; the zombie caught in the webs in front of Castran stops struggling with the webs as it, too, has been destroyed.

Fendt and Melampus go after the one partially tangled in the webs in the north of the room. Although the zombie is halfway covered in webs, it manages to avoid both Melampus's flail and Fendt's mace.

Agrippo tries to coup-de-grace the tangled zombie in front of him. The Sunsword manages to slice through the webs just long enough to decapitate the zombie before getting stuck. The zombie is dead, but Agrippo won't be able to use the Sunsword until the webs have been dispelled.

Robert, intending to help Castran, sees that the gnome doesn't need his help. The druid moves instead to help Melampus and Fendt, but he can't get between them to make a good attack.

The zombie in the middle of the web claws its way forward toward Agrippo.

Bragar continues to chant. Tibbius and Tumbler continue to hang back.

Fendt continues to back step and tries to move aside for the druid Robert. Fendt still takes a strike at any zombie still trying to come at him. Footman's Mace[1d20+1] = 20+1 = 21 Dmg[1d6+2] = 1+2 = 3

Can Castran move to help Aggripo? If he can he will attempt to strike the zombie as it movea out of the webs.
If the spellblade can't get to a zombie he will try and kill outright one of the zombies trapped in the Wizards webs.

The fighter/illusionist will swap his dagger for his hand axe in his off hand and prepare for the advancing zombie to break through the webs.

Shortword [1d20+2] = 14+2 = 16 : damage [1d6+2] = 3+2 = 5 : Hand axe [1d20-1] = 1-1 = 0 : damage [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2

+1 for chant. Oops on the hand axe :o
