It looks as though the party will be splitting up for the 2nd; sulldawga, I'm assuming that Marodin and Semele will also be staying in town, trying to source enough silver for what you need. I believe that some PCs want to visit Myraal, the Guildmage; when you make an IC post can you please indicate what you are doing and where you will be.

I would like to resolve both the visit to Myraal and anything else fairly quickly and concurrently, to avoid having one group of players twiddling their thumbs for too long.

Guys, I must have missed something. I thought our plan was to pick up our potions and then head to the logging camp on the morning of Flaurmont 2, stopping at Myraal's on the way there to drop off the magical items (chain mail armor,etc.) for identification. If instead we are staying in town, Lanny will plan to make a full day visit to Myraal's with anyone else that wishes to go with him.

I just want a potion, some arrows and maybe a couple of daggers and to be on our way. If we do another quest before leaving I don't mind joining but only if it's while we get gear ready.

Tratiln is not opposed to selling the potion of longevity. Right now, the elves don't need it. I doubt Thordin needs it. And our humans would probably become teenagers again anytime in the near future which means we would have to hold onto it for a good 5-10 years to get the best use out of it.

Tratiln is also interested in purchasing something silver - sword would be best but a dagger, hammer, etc. He has no magical weapons so he would be limited in a battle against a were-creature with only sleep and rainbow attack to throw at it.

Treasure Distribution:

So, I know I won't have time to do this at work (or after work) tomorrow, so in anticipation of the party stopping at the Moneychanger's Branch in the morning, here is the breakdown of the value of the gems and jewelry they are depositing (minus the 10% conversion fee for gems and the 15% conversion fee for jewelry exceeding 1000 gp in value).

Note: Prior to leaving the inn in the morning, Lanny recommends that the party pass a rowan shield (to detect any possible magic) over each gem and piece of jewelry, especially the rings. Just in case.

I believe that once we pay those initial conversion fees, we can then receive our individual treasure shares in an assortment of coins and gems at no extra charge (TK, if I am wrong about that, let me know). Here is a list of examples of gems from the DD Rulebook (and their respective values):

One platinum coin is worth five gold coins. (Again, I am assuming that platinum coins, like gems, are available at the Moneychanger's Branch. TK, if I am wrong about that, let me know).

For simplicity's sake, let's deal with all the other non-monetary treasures (potions, armor, etc.) in separate posts later on. I see no rush on those things.

Somehow I got confused and I just want to make sure, but the XP for all of this was already dished out, correct?

10 Scribing supplies: ?? (1000gp?)

Yes, you have already gotten XP for that treasure. Note that you will also get XP if you sell the potion.

Okay guys, I'm having some difficulty keeping everything straight. It is not to criticize y'all; everyone is doing a great job, although it would be nicer if some posts were a little clearer and concise. Anyway, it is mostly a function of having nine players with money to burn.

So. I would like someone to volunteer to keep track of purchases, time, and commissions, as I have started to do below. The player who does so will earn a 5% XP bonus for their character. At this point there are two players who are already doing things: Bouv is mapping and frobozz is tracking XP, treasure, keeping the Table of Contents, etc. So, I would like to have a new volunteer for this task. We can either keep track of it with an editable post in the OOC thread or I can start a new, dedicated thread specifically for this purpose.

Silvered Weapons

Saul. 2 silver daggers, 5 silver arrows
Tratiln. 1 silver sword or other such melee weapon.
Innana. 4 silver throwing daggers, 1 silver sword.
Bregalad. Silvered spear and silvered sword.

Great idea. I'd offer but as some of you noticed I haven't been posting as often as possible as I went back to school in a way (studying to become an IT tech, being a teacher just doesn't cut it anymore in my country) and I'm still trying to find a balance.

What I can do to aid TK and any one else doing this shopping list is marking any purchases I make at the bottom of my posts. I'd do some formatting but sometimes I have to post from my phone and that's just not possible.

Hunting a fell beast, especially one that may be a shapeshifter, at a distance is obviously preferred over punching him in the head with bare fists.

Consider it floated! When depositing the party's treasures, Lanny will withdraw an additional 20 platinum coins (100 gp value) to give to Rhys for "incidental purchases" until he can gain real treasure. Lanny insists this in an investment, not a loan to be payed back (if Rhys needs or wants more, just let me know how much).

I'm ok with Oleg's latest offer for the Pot of Longevity but since it'll take him two weeks to make all the pots, let's at least hear what the guild mage has to say first.

Ok, agreed. Lanny will take the Potion of Longevity to the guild mage. He is prepared to go along with Oleg's first offer and pay the full price to have the entire order completed in one week (unless anyone else objects).

It seems like it would only be something that needs tracking when people are restocking in town and identifying items. And you don't need to be an expert on the Dark Dungeons rules to track peoples' expenditures, right?

If you want to go ahead and create an appropriately-titled thread (I could do it, but I really don't like treading on DM "grounds" when it comes to that sort of thing), say something like "Purchase/Identification Tracking" or whatever takes your fancy, then I'll start updating it.

But, I won't have time to sift through a bunch of mumbo jumbo to figure out what people want, so I'll require a specific purchase or identification request list from any players in the OOC thread if they want something aside from the mundane (remember, normal every-day purchases are assumed under the monthly cost, so there's no need to request 3 more vials of lamp oil or another dozen torches). If it isn't clear in the OOC, then I'm likely not going to put it in the PIT thread. First person to complain becomes the new "Purchase/Identification Tracking" thread owner.

I will add a comment to the thread that indicates the calendar day/date and a list of all purchase requests or item identifications. Then I'll update it with TK's response on availability/cost/time frame.
