Chapter 2 - Sorrowfield
Re: Chapter 2 - Sorrowfield
Craw [Fighter - AC 17 - HP 13]
sorry! I thought I had to wait for the goblins actions since I had lower init...
Craw lets fly his last handaxe hoping to sink it into the nearest goblin skull, then moves to draw his sword.
I assume the goblin nearest to Craw is one of the two easternmost former-sleeping goblins
To hit with handaxe: [1d20+5] = 11+5 = 16, damage: [1d6+3] = 5+3 = 8

Erevan murmurs another lullaby, then tries to put the remaining goblins to sleep.
[1d20+5] = 5+5 = 10
Spell deducted.

These are ghouls. They hang out in graveyards, they have long tongues, and they eat people.

Round 1. - Continued
Haven't heard from Mr.Hemlocks so I will NPC Adrik for the moment.
Adrik continues his charge into the chamber, drawing his warhammer and slamming it into the goblin who confronted him.
Adrik: Attack [1d20+4] = 15+4 = 19 Damage: [1d8+2] = 3+2 = 5
Craw lets fly his last handaxe watching it sink into the nearest goblin skull, then moves to draw his sword. The goblin crumbles back down onto its sleeping pallet.

Craw [Fighter - AC 17 - HP 13]
Craw will charge any goblin still standing after the sleep spell.
To hit with sword: [1d20+5] = 11+5 = 16, damage: [1d8+3] = 1+3 = 4
If all the surviving goblins are put to sleep, he will approach the roasting pig instead and will try it out

"No need to thank me," Erevan says to the group. "So, what shall we ask them first?"

Re: Chapter 2 - Sorrowfield
Erevan, you know you have very limited time till the goblins wake up (1 minute).
Craw, all the surviving goblins were affected by Erevan's spell. You approach the pig and see they have been roasting it for some time as another couple of hours and it will be ready. Thinking back and approximating when the goblins attacked the farm, there is more than a high probability that the pig was captured there.
Vicentio, As you search through their belongings you find that each one carries a short sword. They wear simple leather or hide armor. They have nothing of value on their persons but you do spot a chest tucked back along the eastern wall.

Re: Chapter 2 - Sorrowfield
Just as a note, it will take more than 1 minute for 1 person to tie up the 5 surviving goblins.

Vincentio Senereno [Wizard - AC 10 - HP 5]:
We should at least disarm the sleeping goblins!
Vincentio will stop what he was doing & investigate the Chest & try to open it to see if it's locked.

Craw [Fighter - AC 17 - HP 13]
Craw sheates his sword, wipes off some sweat from his forehead, takes out his dagger and slices off a bit of roasted pork. He selects one of the crispy, burnt parts of the half cooked beast.
Still tasting it, he goes and retrieves one of his axes from the goblin corpse near the firepit, and then proceeds to disarm and tie up a couple sleeping goblins...
Craw has 50 ft of rope, please tell me how much should I deduct for that

Re: Chapter 2 - Sorrowfield
Since they are only goblins, I would say three feet per.
Re: Chapter 2 - Sorrowfield
Craw cuts some rope and gets to work on the closest goblins. "Do you need rope?" He asks to the Others
deducted rope for two tied goblins. was the pig nicely cooked?

Re: Chapter 2 - Sorrowfield
Mr. Hemlocks hasn't posted since March 6 and he hasn't been online since March 24. I will NPC his character till he returns or we replace him.
Adrik, Erevan, and Craw quickly tie up the 5 goblins, finishing just as the spell wear off. They are none too happy about their current predicament and begin muttering (and presumably cursing) in goblin.
Vincentio, the chest is not locked. In fact, it is quite worn and beaten. The lid does not even sit flush with the body of the chest. Within it, mixed among the assorted possessions of the goblins are 400 sp, 80 gp, and a copper statue of a spider with gemstone eyes.

Erevan smirks at his captives' predicament. "Whom do you serve," he asks in goblin.

Re: Chapter 2 - Sorrowfield
Erevan, please give me either an Intimidation check or a Persuasion check. Either is a CHA roll on d20. If you have either skill, add the skill bonus to your roll. I'll give you Advantage since you dispatch 3 of the 8 so quickly. Advantage means roll twice and keep the higher roll.

Persuasion check with advantage: [1d20-1] = 19-1 = 18, [1d20-1] = 3-1 = 2

Re: Chapter 2 - Sorrowfield
The biggest goblin in the bunch looks around at the other goblins, obviously unsure if he should speak or not. In a short bit, he stammers, "Klaw... We serve Klaw."
Re: Chapter 2 - Sorrowfield
did the goblin speak in goblin tongue?
