Halmod again closes with the assassin, hoping to put an end to the boor's attacks, preferably by introducing him to the pointy end of his blade..

Halmod's sword seems to move of its own accord as he thrusts towards his opponent. The Gnome smiles slightly as he engages the man, confident that he will be victorious. Out of the corner of his eye, however, he sees his companions closing with their opponent and wonders for a second if the group will successfully dispatch their enemies. "The contingency is remote," the Gnome grudgingly admits to himself, sotto voce.

OOC:
If Halmod's attack is successful, damage for his sword is 3

Round 11 Description

Nounne brings his mace down repeatedly on the Sun stricken priest of darkness, a foul aura about the evil priest seems to mute your blows, preventing you from killing him outright. The evil priest tries to push you away but each time he does you simply come at him again.

Rondar and Halmod stab the assassin again and again until he is unable to defend himself, and then, in the heat of battle they stab him a few more times. The assassin is soon lying face down, pierced with many bleeding wounds (He is dead).

Everyone else fumbles around, slashes, dodges, slips in the mud, and cowers as the case may be (no one else hit).

Intentions round 12!

Etruna having run up and witnessing the carnage going on, looks for an opportunity to contribute to the fight by taking a slice at the evil cleric with her sickle sword.

Viscata attacks the remaining assassiny type. The bad guy completely disregards her since she appears to be completely inept with a sword. Thus allowing Viscata, emboldened by the success of her compatriots, to land some damaging strikes. To Hit: 18 Damage: 7

Kraden realizes that if he does not find an opening soon, he will be at the mercy of his opponent's sword. He tries to move around the side of the armored warrior and attack, hoping that this will pull his focus and allow Ankhar a better chance to strike from his position. "You are finished! Make it easy on yourself and just give up!", he bellows as he puts every ounce of his remaining strength into his swing:

1d20 → [14] = (14)
1d8 → [8] = (8)

Continued attack at the front of the evil cleric with my mace:

[1d20] = 19 [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6

Excellent!
"The Light!" Nuonne says as he hears a satisfying thunk of mace meeting vile priest of darkness!

Bah... Ankhar will at least try to coordinate his position with Kraden's flanking attempt.

(ooc: all below is of course contingent on Etruna being able to attack)

Etruna takes a swing at the evil cleric with her sickle sword, but still feeling impaired from the troglodyte's overpowering stench, easily misses.

Attack with sickle sword. To hit: [1d20] = 6; Damage: [1d8] = 2

Description round #12

Kraden and Ankhar have continued trying to to flank and
manuever this evil fighter into a bad position with no success. He has moved to the stairs and is managing to keep his feet about him as he backs up them. Kraden steps onto the stairs with him demanding that he surrender. Kraden is suddenly in shock as a quick lung is made by the evil fighter. The point of the evil fighters sword piercing Kraden's studded leather hauberk. Kraden stands in shock as the will to fight leaves him. Ankhar pulls Kraden back to prevent anymore harm coming to Kraden and engages the evil fighter who begins his retreat out of the lair. (ooc: Kraden would have hit but lost initiative and was struck for 5 points of damage. Bringing him to 0 HP. Ankhar missed.)

Kraden drops to his knees and seems to be no longer aware of his surroundings.

The evil priest has retreated into the large room where he still trying to throw off Nuonne who continues striking with his mace. The arm of the evil priest finally breaks under Nuonne's heavy blows. He cries out holding his shattered limb. That is when Ronder comes flying into room from a charge down the corridor. With all his moment and weight behind the blow he swings his sword at the priest. The priest is struck horizontal across his shoulders from the blow and blood splatters as Rondar's sword cuts through armor, flesh and torso. The evil priest flies spinning deeper into the room and lands faces down in the large pool with a splash. As the evil priests face submerges in the water the the light from Nuonne's spell is greatly dimmed. The room becomes much darker.

Etruna doesn't see the priest but is able to engage the remaining assassin along side Halmod and Viscata. Between the three of you the assassin is cut, hacked, and stabbed and soon lies dead in the entry area.

Conclusion Round #12
Nuonne and Rondar are in room #13 by the north side of the pool. There is only a little light coming from the submerged priests eyes.

Halmod, Viscata, and Etruna are by the south west part of the room #2, standing over the dead assassin.

Kraden is by the stairs on his knees and seems in shock.

Ankhar is on the stairs with the evil fighter who is backing up them.

Round #13 Intentions.

Intentions for Round 13:

Nuonne is going to assume that Ankhar has decent backup at this point and, if he can, get's over to Kraden:

"Let the healing light of Dyleus bathe you!"

Cure Light: [1d8] = 2

OOC: yeah the light is dimming... Nuonne's going to assess where he is best needed after this, but I do have another CL...
OOC: let me know if this is logistically impossible. Didn't coordinate with the map
!

OOC: I see that I'm pretty far from Kraden, but with Ankhar occupied I'm probably the closest medic. I'm hoping Nuonne knows Kraden needs a CL, if that's not likely/possible, then Nuonne helps ensure bad-guy cleric is kaput before going anywhere.

You two will have to spend the round moving to area 2.

Halmod steps back and gives a slight nod as the assassin drops to the floor in front of him and his companions. "The outcome was never in doubt, really," the Gnome says. At that moment he sees Kraden fall to his knees with a blank look on his face. Looking at the wounded Ranger he mutters something which Viscata and Etruna could swear was "Yes, never in doubt!"

Halmod draws one of his daggers and hastens to his fallen friend's side. As he comes to the stairs he casts the blade at the fighter, hoping to stop the man before he makes it up and out of he lair completely. A hope which is, ultimately, futile.

Assuming the fighter is human Ankhar will cast a darkness spell on him.

If I missed something and he's in fact half-elf or some other type of humanoid Ankhar will simply keep attacking. And missing...

(ooc: assuming Etruna can attack the fighter on the stairs...)

Etruna rushes towards the fighter on the stairs, screaming "Aaayaahhhh!" with a raging fury and slicing with her sickle-sword.

Attack with sickle sword. To hit: [1d20] = 20; Damage: [1d8] = 8

(ooc: Oh yeah! :D )
