So... Just to clarify, Minos is going to engage with them in melee to "keep the crabs busy", and the others will keep their distance, firing?

The group backs up, leaving Minos to delay the crabs add they continue to shoot. Erico gets a last shot off at the wounded crab before it crashes into Minos, but he misses. The crabs pinch and press against Minos, but only manage to inflict a small scrape [Minos -2] to Minos before he crushes both of the crabs on him to splinters.

The others continue to shoot at the remaining crabs, but their shots either land in the sand or bounce off of the crabs' thick carapace. The two remaining crabs will be on Minos next round. Actions?

Ludwig bellows "Discard Bow, Prepare Lance, Charge!" and takes the point of the short wedge formation.
[They all drop bows into the sand and then charge with the lances, hoping for some sweet double damage or at least some nice horse trampling. Some of these 15 attacks just have to hit... :p]

Lucius will continue to circle around the combat, firing arrows at the crabs.

Minos, slightly bruised by the attacks, stands his ground again, ready to attack the remaining crabs.

Erico Caravellino {Human Thief HP: 15/15 AC 8}

Will also continue to fire crossbow bolts at the Crabs, if he has a clear shot:

To Hit: [1d20] = 10

If that was a hit:
Crossbow Bolt (To Damage): [1d4] = 4

The group falls upon the remaining crabs, sensing that the battle is coming to a close. Erico and Lucius get shots off, but they bounce harmlessly off of the crabs' shells. Before Zaid can get a clear shot, they are on Minos. One of the crabs grabs Minos' arm in its powerful pincer, wounding him. [Minos takes 11 damage! He is at 10 HP, now]. Minos gets free, and crushes the crab to pulp, but isn't able to get the other one.

The soldiers charge in, and manage to trample the remaining crab, then Ludwig charges in and skewers it with his lance, killing it. The crabs are dead!

You guys have dealt with the crab situation at this point... They are dead or gone. What would you like to do now?

Lucius will move to start gathering the furs, calling back, "Maybe we should take a couple crabs for a crab feast."

Rego is thrilled with the destruction of the crabs, and he looks them over, whistling "Nice work, men! Let's go back to town and celebrate! Drinks are on me. We'll have a crab feast, there's plenty of it to go around! Bring the furs, too, and I'll add them to your account. Are you planning to stay in Blackspell? We could use some men like you here."

How do you want to bring all this stuff back? Are you loading it up on the warhorses, hitching up the sled, or something else? The furs are most likely too heavy for you to carry more than a fraction of them yourselves.

A sled would work. That overturned boat would probably just about make it.

Victorious over the crab menace, you flip the boat/sled over and load the furs into it. You are able to attach the sled to one of the warhorses with some rope (holes near the front of the boost seem to be well positioned for this) and though the horse its not pleased with this treatment you are able to get it to drag the boat along the ground. The boat doesn't have runners, so its bottom is definitely being scratched up by this treatment, but it is flat, and sturdy enough for this. Crab meat is added to the haul in preparation for a nice meal.

You make it back to Blackspell without incident. At the edge of the city, halfling guards inspect the cargo, and Rego gives them a few coins to cover the import duties. He has you bring the sled to a storage area near the stable.

Rego offers to give you either the 600 gold directly, or on credit. With his connections, he can acquire things more easily than you can, and offers to outfit you with 600 gold in equipment for your journey if you are moving on, or offer you employment as regular guards for room, board, and a modest salary of 50 gp per month. He cannot afford more for such a large group. In any case, you have clearly made a friend.

I would say to put the gold on credit. We can't be lugging all of it around.
