#121 Post by Mant72 »

Hey guys,

I've wrestled with this decision for quite some time, but I'm going to have to take a break from the boards.

Kids, job, and real life in general are leaving me with no time to properly post and play the way that I would like. I have really had a great time DMing and playing here on US in the past year and a half, and hopefully I will be able to return at some point.

Take care and thank you for your storytelling and creativity,

~Mark

That stinks for us Mark. It was great playing with you for the short time I was able to.

Good luck and hope to see you back on the boards soon!

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Y'know, Grothnak might have gone along with fleeing through the window until the stupid elf suggested abandoning the town entirely. :)

Ah, I thought we were going to a hideout or something. :)
As long as we don't get massacred Mouser good with whichever way! :)

Having some of the party run away conspicuously while others escape or hole up through the trap door might not be the worst outcome.

Hi,
Fyi, I just posted Verity's replies to Grothnak and Pelias' questions.
I'll move the full narrative forward on Monday or Tuesday.
Last call!
Thanks. :)

rredmond wrote:Mouser hesitates but a moment, looking below, thinking it's the best way to go. But he watches to see what the party does. He leaves the trap door open and will follow the majority of the party, whether out the window or down the trap door. Trusting his speed, he won't hurry to be first out. But as he waits for the others to get out, he quickly, and cursorily, checks for anything of value in this room that might make the trip out of the room with him.
Hi Ron,
Mouser says he's going with the majority. But right now, they are evenly split. :)
If they remain evenly split, should I assume he's going underground? Your post states that is his true preference. Thanks.

Damn them! :D

Yeah, underground sounds like the way he'd go... though splitting up just seems insane to me. :(

I think splitting the party is crazy, too.
Going down is possibly (probably?) wrong, but based on our past experience, Telkis would think there has to be an exit - why have a secret door from your private bedroom leading to a dead end? And a villager standing right outside the window as soon as we break it seems like a pretty good sign the villagers aren't all moving together in one big mass upstairs, but have the place surrounded...
Somebody call Hoom back! :)

Speaking of which threads to read, should I stay away from the other IC thread? Full disclosure, I have read it thus far, but it occurs to me that maybe I should not have done so. :o

What do the grounds of the church look like?
How high are the walls?
Is the gate the only exit?
Can we see the gate from our current positions?
