You say that like it was a bad thing. I mean, chances are I won't be hit! ;)

Halmod stoops down and picks up his sword, foregoing throwing another dagger at this time. "A fortunate cast, even if it was less effective than I had hoped," the Gnome says to himself. "It is best to be chary when throwing towards one's own friend, after all. They can get petulant if struck, even if the intentions are good!"

Halmod lifts his sword and begins to make his way towards the fighter. "We will see if he shows proper diffidence to us, now," the Gnome says as he takes a practice swing with his blade.

OOC:
Would Halmod have enough time to attack this melee round? I kind of assumed not since he changed weapons and wasn't charging but rather closing with the fighter in a pretty crowded area.
Don't worry about changing weapons, it won't count against you attacking. It is just the number of big human fighter types flailing away that prevents you from attacking.

OOC: Etruna could have easily picked up Kraden's torch!
(OOC: obviously the effect of the Troglodyte aroma impacted her short term memory. Nasty stuff that is! )

to light a torch: [1d6] = 5

Round #9 Description

Nuonne stands, the evil fighter is busy fighting Viscata and Kraden so Nuonne is able to make his way past the evil fighter and pursue the evil priest. The evil priest has made his way to the passage that leads south out of main entry room (room #2). Nounne catches up to him but at the last moment catches movement from behind him. Two sinister looking men who must have been hiding strike Nuonne from behind, their blows fall repeatedly but his armor carries him through(You were surprised but they didn't hit your AC, with the amount of movement you did you won't be able to attack this round. I know pain in the ass. You are now standing at the mouth of the south tunnel out of room #2).

The evil fighter is then pushed back by Kraden's furious attack into the main entry area as well (Kraden hit and did 7 damage).

Round 9 Conclusion
Halmod, Ankhar, Viscata, Rondar, and Kraden all push into area 2 where Nuonne is beset by two new opponents.

Etruna will be back by hall #7 with a lit torch.

The evil priest continues his wailing and staggers south down the hallway from area #2.

Round 10 Intentions!
There will now be a free-for-all melee in room #2. Only Nuonne can attempt to strike the evil priest but he will risk fleeing melee from the two assassins.

OOC: I'm guessing I hear fellow party members coming, so I press on with attacking the cleric -- Nuonne is focused!

[1d20] = 20 [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7
Holy crap! That's worth a couple more backstab attempts!! :)

OOC: I'll be out of commission for the next couple of days, but will check back in on Monday. NPC me if needed - intentions, in order of preference, attack evil cleric until dead, attack any other bad guys, destroy any evil cleric holy symbols (or other evil stuff), take evil clerics stuff :D

OOC: Is round 9 completed? Did the evil armored fighter make an attack or did he just retreat/make a fighting withdrawl? We will still need an initiative roll for round 10 here?

Kraden, feeling Ankhar's healing magics course through his body, is revitalized and will continue to push his attack against the armored fighter, hoping that the tide of battle will turn the party's way:

1d20 → [11] = (11)
1d8 → [3] = (3)

(hate false hope!  )

OOC: curious how many hit points Kraden got back from Ankhar's cure light wounds spell? Thanks Zeb! ;)

2 points? :?

The half-elf will try to stand by Kraden's side, but fails at overcoming the enemy warrior's defenses.

OOC: ok, my rolls are really sucky...

Seeing Nuonne set upon by the two new comers, Halmod moves to aid his companion. "The hospitality here is lacking," the Gnome mutters to himself. "It is time to hold this mischief in abeyance." With that, Halmod attempts to acquaint the nearest attcker with [(1d20=14)]the sharp end of his sword.

OOC:
While it seems unlikely, if Halmod did, in fact, hit this is the damage from Halmod's short sword. (1d6=6)

Etruna will get a good look at the area that she is in, if nothing appears to be helpful for the combat taking place elsewhere, she will return to the scene of the melee and look for an opportunity to provide assistance or encouragement.

(ooc: I assume her flame trap on the floor has ceased to be a hazard.)

Round 10 Description

Nuonne barely feels a little poke from behind as he chases down the cleric (You take 1 point of damage). The evil priest senses your approach and through watered light-filled eyes takes a hit from your mace but then begins to struggle with you in the south hallway.

Halmod stabs one of the assassins who is looking after Nuonne and so the assassin turns his attention to Halmod and begins to fight back. The assassins stikes would have easily hit someone less nimble than Halmod (He missed).

Everyone else dances, parries, dodges, and trade blows and taunts with their enemies with no substantial outcome.

Etruna's torch reveals a 30' water and mud filled tunnel that ends in a door.

Round 10 conclusion
Halmod did 6 to one of the assassins.
Nuonne took 1 point of damage.
Evil cleric took 7 from Nuonne.

Nuonne presses the attack on the evil cleric:

[1d20] = 14 [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5

and hopes the mail isn't magical! :)

Ankhar keeps fighting like a crippled old lady. http://www.unseenservant.com/Default.as ... one&id=467

OOC: Unseen Servant's dice roller definately doesn't like me. So far three d20 rolls and so far couldn't even get a 10...

"Well that was a waste of time and a torch," Etruna mutters to herself.

Having decided that the area inside the door contains nothing of immediate usefulness, Etruna backtracks towards the fight thinking that the battle may be such that perhaps she might be able to provide assistance. She goes cautiously, sickle-sword in one hand, torch in the other. On her way past Kraden's torch on the floor, she will snuff it out, so as to prolong its lifespan as a source of light.

Viscata keeps fighting the two new guys, swinging her sword erratically until someone who can hit steps in.

OOC: Not even going to post the roll.
