Sabine checks her log book.

"Crabgrass left with a bunch of the other people you came here with, along with that pompous school teacher, Dudebricus."

"There were like.......10 of them altogether, but they didn't seem too organized to me."

Said they were going out to confront the bandits. I haven't seen any of them return yet, though."

[Monsieur Rose]

Bugs

"Oh! Those bandits seemed harmless enough. Sometimes disturbing things just make other things get worse. Hopefully, nothing like that happens here."

Bugs thanks Sabine. "When was this, like today? Does dealing with the bandits sound like an overnight trip to you? Maybe I should go check on them."

I believe it was actually yesterday.......or maybe tomorrow.

Unless there are objections, I think I will keep the timeline in this game as fluid as possible so PC's can move around between groups if they wish. (in other words, please let me know if you think you are being disadvantaged in some way by my messing up the actual timeline)


Sabine cocks her pretty head to one side.

"Yes, it was earlier today. And if you want to go check on them, you might find them on their return trip, you know......unless they are all........nevermind that thought. Sorry."

He nods knowingly. "That's a good idea. We'll probably meet them when we go back out. Thanks!"

Bugs hurries off to gather himself to head back out into the wilds.

Pimlan waits for the elf running towards the gates. unless I already missed this bit. "Sabine you ever seen that elf before?" he asks.

Sabine looks down at Pimlan, wondering if the halfling is trying to put her on again.

She exits the guardhouse to look outside for a moment before returning with a scowl on her pretty face.

"I don't see anyone coming, you little rascal."

She then points to the newly arrived Ithrandir, already speaking with the others at the gate.

"Are you talking about this elf?"

Ithrandir

"Greetings! My name is Ithrandir. Yes, this is my first time at the Keep. I’ve traveled a long way to come here. I’m looking for work as an adventurer, to earn my bread by the sword. I’ve heard there’s no shortage of it here."

He extends his hand to greet Pimlan and Sabine. "And who are you? Can you maybe give me directions?"

When Stobart asks who he might talk to about the situation with the bandits, Sabine smiles again. "Well, you are already speaking to the right person. And I appreciate any details you can remember to tell me about. So, you say that your friends who saved you are still out there?" We probably should have taken the cue from GW and done any important business over here: viewtopic.php?t=12926

"Do you have a map of the caves and surrounding area? I can show you where we found their base, and the zombies and the cave with the skeletons. The others? they weren't as injured and decided they wanted to stay and explore."

Stobart is happy to provide all the information he can remember about the bandits on the road (by the river), the zombies, the cave with the skeletons and the barrels, plus the location of the base in the caves of chaos and what the can remember about the inside, but he didn't go that far in. He'll say about the clerics they say they have and mention Catbird by name. He'll also say they had the lady LeNore captured and they tried to kill her, and she might be able to tell Sabine more.

Ithrandir

Once he finishes speaking with Sabine and Pimlan, the elf listens closely to what Stobar is saying, watching almost intrusively. He’s keen to absorb as much information as he can about the place and the current state of affairs.

Pimlan nods his head "Yup. He's new to me. I don't suppose you happened to see Dredd pass by heading back to Longspear by chance?" he asks.

He extends his hand to greet Pimlan and Sabine. "And who are you? Can you maybe give me directions?"

The halfling extends his hand and shakes the elf's hand "Pimlan and this is Sabine. Well adventure is that way." he points back outside the gates towards the road leading back off towards the caves. "Everything involving comforts of home are back in here." he motions to all of the local businesses inside the gates.

Crobeus - Human Paladin

"Nobody wants to head back to the caves right now? Well, I suppose that shouldn't be a surprise. I'm not really sure where the tanner is...I didn't have need to seek him- or her- out before." Turning to Sabine, he asks the gatekeeper for directions. "Sabine, where might we find the tanner?"

He will escort Lady Lenore to the tanner after getting the requested info.

As the others make their introductions, Sabine gratefully records all the information Stobart gives her into her log. "This is the best intel I have heard about the bandits and their superiors so far. Thank you for letting me know about this unsettling business. I don't have a map of the cave interiors, but I will jot these areas down on my wilderness map on the wall here. Your help in this matter is very much appreciated, master Stobart. Do you have any plans to return to the caves to further investigate these priests you speak of?"

Turning to answer Crobeus next. "Jocelyn lives in one of the private homes around the first corner there." She points into the Keep. "But she will most likely be in her workshop until dark. You can find her in the basement of the jail, located in the northwest tower inside the Inner Bailey. Walk through the inner gatehouse and veer towards the left. Or......just follow your nose." The gatekeeper looks over the face of Lady LeNore closely. "Are you......related in some way? You look like her."

Lady LeNore just nods as she holds her arm up for Crobeus to lead the way inside.

Well, I’d like to explore those caves, but I suppose since you’ve just returned, you’ll want to rest first and won’t go back until tomorrow at the earliest.

I should probably rest before going too; I’ve just arrived from a long journey.

I’ll head to the tavern with the others."

Pimlan nods his head "I was just going to head to the tavern myself. Let's go." he looks to Sabine "Would you like me to get anything for you?" he waits for her answer before heading to the tavern.

Stobart let's Sabine know that he'll be at the tavern if there are any more questions and heads there with the others.

The woman smiles.

"And I forgot to answer you earlier when you asked about your friend returning."

She checks her log book again to be certain.

"Sorry, but I haven't seen him since you left."

She thanks Stobart again and nods as they depart for the tavern.

Pimlan "Sure, beer, food anything you need or want?" hearing the report about not seeing Dredd he looks sad but smiles nonetheless happily awaiting to see if Sabine needs anything.

Sabine seems genuinely touched by the kindness of Pimlan.

"Well thank you for the offer, but I think we will be okay here."

She smiles at the Halfling all the same.

"I do appreciate the gesture, though. You go enjoy your well deserved free dinner."

Pimlan waves a polite salute like gesture to Sabine "Any time Sabine." and heads off to the tavern.
