The three creatures (one being the dragon) flew past the group to the south (from the west [the direction you came from] to the east [the direction to the dwarves]).

We have resources we can use.
We have access to scrying, for example. If we get within 9 miles we have access to commune with nature, and can find out how many creatures lay within the dragons lair, without horses we don’t have to worry about road blocks, we could come up with spell tactics, the Druid could fly above and keep a watch over the trail and let rid know in advance if the dragon or her minions are approaching, we could prepare an area ourselves with traps and snares and glyphs and such like, and draw them to us. There are lots of options, we just have to pick one and commit to it I think.

Agreed. I like the idea of moving into the dragons area and setting an ambush. Wish she still had her bow but I will make do. Maybe some wilderness traps, she is a ranger after all.

If only the Ranger had a Mending spell

The ranger doesn't have any spells yet. Next level (8th) she gets 1 first level Druid spell (no Mending option) and then at 9th she gets 1 first level Magic-User spell, which could include Mending.

Sorry I was being coy and giving a hint that there is a Mending spell in some ones spellbook that could fix your problem.

Hex will try and learn the Massmorph spell but only if Garrant is amenable.
If this can be done in a day on the road then Garrant is amenable.

Thanks. It’s likely to take longer than a day though. Intermittently probably.

That's fine either way.

Sorry but I do not think that this is something that you can do a few minutes here and a few minutes there (even a half day). It will take a considerable number of days time.

OK, I will call this poor communication from the GM. I was checking for how well the "bad people" coming from places unnoticed were viewed (hence the _4d6) and then I rolled a 5 of Initiative and was trying to get a players to roll initiative and if you beat the 5 you would get to act first. The group got a 1 for initiative so the "bad people" get to act before our heroic adventurers. I will post the "bad peoples" move hopefully tonight and let people act again.
No it's okay. I understood. I rolled the initiative simply because none of the posters before me did so. Sorry guys, only rolled a 1 not a 6.

No problem on the roll, it is what it is no apologizes necessary. I didn't roll as I thought someone already had.
