If it’s going to be straight along the trail in the morning then let us prepare ourselves today for the inevitable confrontation as we send our way through the dragons lair. We have time to talk tactics if we aren’t leaving until the morn. I think B is the wiser course but why start with that now and break our track record… he says with a wink.

If we have a little time now this afternoon, I would like to try and learn your Massmorph spell Garrant, if you are willing?

With the mid-day sun now well past, the afternoon wind starts to pick-up (in the 10 MPH range), cooling the air to the high 60's.

So it appears the vote is very close with Androgost, Garrant, Siouxsie and Boff voting for charging through the dragon's territory and Qleceec, Nah Olos and Hex voting to parallel the trail to get around the territory. So the group will finish the day here and attempt to rush through the dragon's territory starting in the morning.

Any actions for the rest of the day? And should I assume the standard watch?

Just routine stuff for Qleceec, she will stand watch, maintain gear, patrol close by, etc.

Maybe spread some healing around just before bed?

Hex will try and learn the Massmorph spell but only if Garrant is amenable.

Sorry but I don't understand why we are waiting here. If it is only midday, we have eight hours at least of good trekking time, surely that is fifteen miles done even at a slow pace.

I cast my healing spells this morning, inviting injured comrades to join me in devotional prayer. None did, so anyone who needs healing will have to wait until tomorrow at the earliest.

I think that there is some confusion given that you travelled 5 miles in the night and did not arrive at this second camp until dawn - then slept and then memorized spells in the rope trick (well past dawn) and then cast the healing spells mid-day.

Yes, you could leave now but the plan when you came here was to stay the day so that when you came back you still have full spells. 100% the teams call.

Just clarifying the situation and the plan as written- please let me know what you all want.

Goes to find a tree to hug. You know, its a druid thing. Perhaps picking a pose of woodland blossoms while we camp out for the rest of the day.

Ideally she will find a bird of prey that she can commune with via her Animal Friendship spell and convince it to be our airborne, eyes in the sky.

The afternoon passes without much of interest. Siouxsie tries to look for bird of prey and is actively surprised that there are no bird of prey or other apex creatures in the area. It is likely that the dragon has driven them out. She is able to get the attention of a crow or sparrow if that is something that interests her.

As the afternoon turns into the evening, Androgost asks if anyone wants any changes to the watch? And suggests that the group be ready to leave a first light.

The three watches pass in the night. The night is a quiet one, only the music of the crickets are a constant companion. The sunrises and the adventurers are well rested (1 HP added). Everyone has full spells and several members are itching to get moving. Androgost asks Qleceec to "Lead the way"

Any spell casting that was waiting till right before memorization - do it now.

Hex will peruse his book of spells before the group head off, and rememorise Hypnotism and Phantom Armour.

Let’s try this as quickly as we can, Maybe catch the dragon sleeping and pass through without notice.

Raffi takes the brunt of the their gear as usual and they form their place in the marching order.
