2nd edition ad&d rules (some optional rules used)
New 1st level pcs created
Role playing heavy/combat and dice rolling
Casual run game

One of your members steered me to your forum so I thought I'd give it a shot. More information available on request. Ask away!

Are you dead set on running 2nd edition?

"Role playing heavy/combat and dice rolling" sounds like my kind of game, but I don't have any experience in 2nd edition and don't have any of the rulebooks. If you're able (and willing) to convert it to first edition or OSRIC rules, I know I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Thanks,
- Dave

Understood. Couldn't hurt to ask, though, right? ;)

I wouldn't mind some hack'n'slashing in 2nd Edition. Sign me up.

Please be advised that currently, the Unseen Servant dice roller is malfunctioning. Only the first individual die roll of any roll attempt is random; the ones thereafter are corrupt. Kindly refer to this thread for additional information.

Gotcha on the list. PM me your email and I will keep you updated. I have two definate and one considering at this point. I am looking for a total of five. It will be a little bit of time before it gets started due to character creation and background creation. I try to be thorough.

Before we start PC creation does anyone have a 2nd edition character sheet that they prefer using? I'm open to all options. If not I have a couple. If you do have one I prefer one where you can enter everything into it then send it to me via email. I like to print those out and have a hard copy. We will start rolling ability scores soon even if we don't have our five. That way we will be ready to go. What I will have is a website, probably a group site (yahoo etc.) for all of our housekeeping and out of game communication as well as a place to post files and maps and sheets etc. I will let you all know when that is functional.

I have only just restarted gaming after a 15 year absence so was going to dig through the attic this weekend for my old 2e CR sheets! So no preference from me!

Good to see you man! Glad you got in the secret door okay. Rolled a 1 on a d6 eh?
:) Have fun!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

The website for the campaign is up and I will get the url to you all shortly. Right now it is in barebones form but once campaign specific material has been posted you will be able to access it.

Here is the site address for our pbp campaign that we will use for housekeeping and organization. Right now it is barebones and I anticipate adding stuff here and there as my time permits this weekend. Those that have contacted me to play start thinking about the race and class/classes you want to play. Dont forget they will be dependent on your ability score rolls however the method we will be using is somewhat player friendly. We will do 4d6 drop the lowest then place your scores where you want them. More later on that.

The 2nd edition character sheet is now up on the site for download under the documents tab. I also added an announcements bar so you can keep in touch with what I am doing until we get this running.

The PBP Tavern Tales is now setup and I will be creating topics accordingly. All that are interested have been added as users and can begin posting. I have had a question since I created the google site to accompany the game as to whether it will be played via the site or the Unseen Servant. All game playing will be posted and played on the Unseen Servant. The website is merely a supplement and compendium to assist in keeping things structured and organized. You are not required to view it regularly to participate though it is recommended for informational purposes.
