Somebody (or two) should get a shovel. I'm carrying too much as it is. We're going to get eaten by wandering monsters.

I'll gladly front up to 7-10 gp for equipment if someone else can carry it.

As far as 'useful' things for the party goes, Hedric has a dozen iron spikes and a hammer. He can probably carry a few more items without being over encumbered. He does have a quarterstaff but he'll likely be fastening a torch to it (wouldn't serve for a trap probe).

Oh, and hai everybody!

Can't be that misty or wooded if we can count "countless" mounds. Other end of the football field. I'll be back in 6-9 rounds. :)

I've purchased an extra waterskin and 2 more pints of oil for use as an improvised flammable device.

Can I excavate in heavier armor, or am I overthinking this?

You would have to remove the chest armor. The remainder you could keep on.

Can I tell how much these amphorae are worth? They might not be worth the effort to carry them.

Their value isn't how much they are worth, but in how much it can hold.

In this particular case, it is a matter of how much they are worth. Their value is not in holding but in their age and value as antique. Give me an INT check (d20 vs. your INT score) at a -5 penalty.

Meh. I'll pass this on to Hedric.

I will be travelling over an extended Easter weekend and can't guarantee that I'll be able to post much.

Thanks for the heads up. Post when you can, but don't worry about it. As I stated in the recruitment thread, I don't post over the weekend, specially a holiday weekend so you can be sure Sat and Sun are clear.

Sorry everyone. I intended to post something yesterday but my laptop crashed just before lunch. Since this is my work laptop (and one of the few Mac's), I had to reset everything piece by piece. I am still resetting everything but at least I am back up and running. I will have a post by lunch.

If it makes you feel any better, I upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04 and promptly broke all my graphics drivers.
