Elsa sighs. "Well....we don't know what the truth is. Not even in your pretty story is accurate. She opens a pizza box and flops down on the bed with a slice. "Truth be told...." she says chewing, "I'm not sure why I am like I am either. That's what I'm out doing. Trying to discover why I can do what I can do. And the extent of what I can do. I wasn't born this way either. But spent most of my childhood being hid away by my parents. That's over. No more hiding for me."

Raven leans against the nearby desk and puts his hand down, ignoring how rude it was of Elsa to simply ignore the mans handshake, looking at Elsa attentively and giving her a moment for her to continue.

If she does not Raven will then take a slice of the pizza, taking a bite of it. He will then say out loud, Huh... So I do like pizza..."

Elsa once again not ready to touch the potential mad scientist laughs nervously, EVERYONE likes pizza. But you should see to your wounds soon before They're infected."
She tears into another slice, greasy Pizza juice dripping down her chin. "I wonder." she says between chews. "Wonder If we shouldn't just call the cops or military.... or something?"
what country are we in? State? Any idea Why Elsa was in the woods in the first place or is that irrelevant?

lol, I'll get a handshake out of you. you won't even know what happened until it's too late either! ;)

Raven puts a napkin next to Elsa, point to his chin to signal where to clean for her. He then thinks for a moment before replying, "What we saw was pretty extensive and seeing as how my past self tried to stop them alone I think the cops and military are either with the corporation or cannot be trusted. I think we are on our own..." After a thought Raven starts to chuckle a little bit before stopping himself, "If I had you before I don't think they would have been able to get me, we have horrible timing. He gives her a weak smile that looks and feels forced rather than natural. He walks over to the suitcase equipment and looks through it, "Maybe I have some contacts stored away or some files, anything that can help us."

United States, just south of the border of Canada. Montana.

She was 'traveling' from her home island nation based in the Kara Sea of northern Russia. You ventured east and traveled over Alaska, sightseeing. The cold did not bother you so you were able to enjoy the auroras and such up there. You then spent a little bit of time in Canada, befriending a lumberman who lived by himself. You soon ditched him however as he started to make advances on you. This was the case for the next 11 or so men you came across. When you reached the mountains of Montana, you stumbled upon the military complex and decided to check it out. You met Raven, fought some green creatures side by side, and is now eating pizza in his motel room. He has not made a move on you yet, so you haven't ditched him, AND that's that. ;)

Personal Notebook/Journal is on its way shortly; thank you for being patient with this!

April 8th, 2031

There have been strange reports of people dissapearing from all over the western side of North America. No evidence pointing towards how they dissappeared, other than a strange green goo of unknown origin popping up here an there in other investigations. They were all ex-prisoners too, interesting...

April 11th, 2031

It has taken me longer than usual to gather the necessary information and leads for this. If only Blake hadn't gone and turned on us... As his friend, I-I still regret that day. He was confused, he sense of justice was too extreme, he needed help but no one would try to reason with him. I'm ashamed to call myself a friend... I did nothing but follow the group's example.

April 12th, 2031

All sources point to a mountain range, just a short drive away from the town of Dunnet. I cannot afford to alert an officials on this one, nor my superiors. If I am correct on this, the organization behind these dissappearances, and or attacks, is none other than Rook Industries, a weapons manufacturer and dealer who's owner is close friends to a higher up of mine. My reports would surely be shot down, even if they came from me. I have to uncover some harder evidence, something that is undeniable, that will put all of the organizations dark plans and dealings into the light!

April 14th, 2031

Scarlet Rain, Dezmos, The Curator, even Miss Euphania and Captain Platinum, they all turned me down. I asked for their help in this operation of mine, but they were too busy, or had double life jobs to attend to, crime to fight, ecetera ecetera. Blake, he would have been the only one to cover my back, he was a good friend back then. I suppose calling him out of jail now would not be a good idea... Still, even though his form of justice was extreme, his intentions were always good. I counted on him a lot, but now, I have to rely on my own skills.

April 15th, 2031

I think I found the installation. I am hoping that there will be some evidence on Rook Industries involvement with these kidnappings, perhaps some research data on new.... ugh, no I don't even want to think about what they could be making in there. They deal in weapons and the production of such, enough said. If there are people being held there, against their own will and even being experimented on, I HAVE to stop this. As an ally of justice and as a former hero! Blake would have wanted this too, dealing out proper justice to such a corporation.

This will probably be the last time I write, at least until I come out of that place with what I was looking for. It won't be easy, and I may have to go undercover for a bit, perhaps as a prisoner...

-----

That was the last journal entry. Nelson Warren, Raven's past self, was apparently an undercover agent, a private investigator from the looks of it. He looks at the badge and the uniform and confirms this. The journal makes mention of various names, some of which sound familiar. This Blake person seemed to be especially important to him....

The tablet is hooked back up to the suit case and the laptop is now usable once more, but a flashback of Raven's previous experience with computer's comes to mind. He then looks at the keyboard and thinks twice about touching it.

"Well..." says Elsa, "That's a relief. I don't have to turn you into an ice cube and use my chainsaw sculpting skills on you." she mockingly wipes sweat from her brow and laughs.

The tablet, if Raven chooses to only work that instead of a keyboard, shows a few icons on the wallpaper: an electronic version of the journal, a folder of various pieces of information gathered for the investigation into Rook Industries, other folders with names of past jobs completed and or cases solved, and a phone icon that shows a list of numbers to call when highlighted. One of the numbers has that name again, right next to it, Blake Hayes. It would appear as if the tablet doubles as a phone.

Raven stares at Elsa after she comments, his face in a somewhat confused look, "....Chainsaw Sculpting skills? Huh..." He then goes back to the tablet, finding that number, he pauses for a moment, thinking. "Only one way to find out..." He then attempts to dial the number from the tablet, looking to see if the other side will answer.

"I was expecting your call Nelson." The voice sounded very amused on the other end of the line, as if it were only a matter of time before this number was called. The voice though, it sounds VERY familiar, a voice you have just heard not too long ago, back at the mountain complex...

Raven looks back at Elsa briefly before turning his attention back towards the tablet. "So, this is how we knew each other, glad to finally know your name, Blake. I think we should meet, I have some questions that I think only you have the answers to. And it's Raven now, Nelson Warren died."

"Oh but if that were only the case Nelson, you were dead to me long before the complex encounter, it was when you betrayed me to be exact." A heavy silence then follows as the last statement hangs with a heavy meaning. What Blake said, your journal entry, the two seem to match. Blake seems to know what happened back then, but you still don't... a song starts to echo in your head once more, something that hits close to the venom behind Blake's message.

Raven closes his eyes for a moment, thinking and possibly remembering. "Don't lie to me." He wait a moment for his words to be fully understood. "You found me, you are free right now. You could have done anything but instead you found me in a crumbling complex as we faced off against what is probably the true enemy." Raven then looks over to Elsa, seeing her expression on the situation. "You want something from me, I don't know if you are an enemy or a friend so I will let you decide that. Until then... I told you, Nelson is dead. I am Raven." He then cancels the call, sitting down on the bed facing Elsa, "Now we wait for his response. Until then, let's find out what we can about Rook Industries." Without waiting for her response he begins to go through his tablet, looking for any files and research that he had done on the company before they took him. He seems focused, almost like he is trying to block out some sort of emotion....

Raven is still looking through the computer, trying to find any files about the Rook Industries, he still seems to be solely focused on this task, giving Elsa only half answers, "Sure."

As Raven skillfully flips through the folders on his tablet, showing a profiency in handheld device he thought he never had, he comes across several files with information about Rook Industries.

Rook Industries is an arms company of great world reknown, supplying all manners of technologies, weapons and devices to many countries around the world, primarily the US. For the longest time, the Sanderson family had controlling interest in Rook Industries, and through them they helped shape the ever-evolving world of supers, ever since their introduction to our dimension some years ago.

As Raven goes through the numbers and charts, it would appear as if he compiled information on all of Rook Industries clientel, their financial logs, case by case special dealings with certain groups, their affiliation with such groups... the list goes on. Nelson Warren must have spent months collecting all of this, using his status and connections with people in high places to obtain this information.

Out of all of the information you sort through, one thing catches your eyes especially, the folder containing files on black market dealings with something called Ichnorite, the weaponization of such and the use of Ichnorite in certain experiments. All of this was just theoretical however, the latter part. He had no hard evidence to support these claims, thus his venture into the abandoned military complex.

After reviewing all of the pertinent information once more, Raven determines that the closest Rook Industries facility was in the moutain range they were just in, now collapsed. The next known location is an island city home to most of the supers on the Eastern US Coast, Atlas City. Atlas City is but a short ferry from one of the many ports on the eastern coast, though access to said island is very strict and few manage to enter without some legitamite business there.

Though Raven would not remember such a place or what this meant, Permafrost, and most of the world is very familiar with the city. It boasts a level of technology and way of living that far surpasses even the best of cities in our current world, most likely due to what was brought over from the super filled dimension. New advances in technology and medicine are constantly being churned out of that city, bettering the lives everyone, mostly. Just as it is a haven for super heroes and great scientific minds, so it is for super villians and other criminal organizations that would seek to exploit such technologies.

It comes to no surprise that Rook Industries main complex is situated in such an environment. With the recent change in company control to a new name, corruption has started to take root in everything the corporation does now-a-days, though hidden well at that. It is only through Nelson Warren's notes that you are able to see Rook Industries for what it truly is now. Rook Industries is on the forefront of technology alright, but not of the good kind that saves lives, not like it used to be.
