A blast from the past... (Raven's and Perma's next arc)

"Yes, I need a cab at the service station....where am I going? To the motel in town. Yes, 15 minutes is fine. Thank you."

"Hey, 8 finger Joe's pizza? Hi. I need a large meat lovers delivered to hotel in town. I don't know the room number yet. I'll pick it up in the lobby. Elsa. I'd like to pay by credit card. Sure. Okay. See you in 30. Hmmm? Oh, sure. A 2 liter of Coke and some bread sticks. K. Bye."

Raven stands idly by as Elsa makes this social thing with her phone look easy, He looks around the area. As she ends the phone call with what he assumed is the pizza makers he has a question that wont leave him alone, unable to contain himself he mutters just above his breath, "What's a meat lovers?"...

"Well, If you asked my sister, it would be HER." Elsa laughs then waves it off when he doesn't understand. "The Pizza will have every kind of meat on it. After your night, you could use the protein and carbs. Help ya heal a bit faster. I really don't need this jacket...If you're cold. "

Raven thinks for a moment on what Elsa tells him, "Every meat? and you're sure we can eat a pizza that big? Every meat sounds like a lot, I am always up for a challenge though. Don't worry about me too much. I am not cold, just tired and injured." After ending his statement he tries to give Elsa a small smile but it doesn't exactly come off that well, Raven stops after a moment of trying. He then tries to change the subject, "You have a sister? Does your sister have a name?"

"Sure she has a name. It's meat lover." She covers her mouth giggling. "Sorry. No. It's Anya. My younger sister. She's back home running the ki... house. She's a very busy girl. Meatlover Pizza has sausage, pepperoni, Ham,and Bacon. Not EVERY type of meat." she laughs again.

Raven watches Elsa as she finishes her explanation, Raven then seems to be relieved a bit, "That sounds more manageable..." He then thinks for a moment, "I'm sure if must feel nice to have a sister... family, a name..." He then looks at Elsa, "I hope you cherish what you have."

She gets a sad, far away look in her eyes.
"We missed out on a lot of our childhood together...but...well, That's in the past. Maybe we'll find out there's a whole nest of bird-people waiting for you. Never know."

As Raven and Permafrost talk about many subjects, time seems to fly by and the 15 minutes of waiting ends. A cab pulls up next to them and waits. When the two enter the vehicle, the cab driver will ask Elsa "The Red Rock Motel, correct?"

As the cab driver mentions the location, Raven feels as if he remembers that place, that it was important or something.... the a head ache starts up again, but this time it isn't as severe.

Raven moves his hand to his head and then rubs the bridge of his nose. He says under his breath so that only Elsa can hear him, "I think I've been there before...."

"Good. That's good. Remember what room? Ah, they probably all look alike anyway, but it's worth a shot."

As the headache fades Raven takes his hand off of his head, "I don't know, I might remember something when we get there..."

As the cab drives into the small town of Dunnet, a quaint snowly landscape paints the area. The buildings are all ancient but still kept up and running by the community. The vehicles too seem to be trapped in the past, but the town itself is... warm. That's the best way one could describe it. The people walking the streets seemed to be carefree and all smiley, going about their usual lives in their warm mittens and scarves. People sitting down at the local diner, sipping their hot drinks and chatting away behind glass windows. A soft snowfall, adding the finishing strokes to an art piece. All of this, and not one single person seemed to be phased by the mountain side explosion a short drive away, as if it never even happened.

Raven and Elsa arrive at the Red Rock Motel and walk in. They are greeted by a pizza delivery man wearing the signauture 8 finger joe uniform and cap. He smiles and walks up to Elsa, holding up one of the latest smartphones tablets. "Just wave the barcode on your card over the screen and sign your name, your transaction will then go through, simple as that!" He then hands her a stylus and gives the goods to Raven.

While the exchange between Elsa and the deliveryman occurs, the attendant at the desk speaks up, calling Raven over. "Ah yes, Mr. Nelson Warren, I was wondering when you would return! Your package is still secured will be returned to you along with your room key. Your room has been untouched, as requested, but because it has been a few months since the arrangement has been made, it may be quite dusty. Please, enjoy your stay at the Red Rock Motel!" The attendant then hands a suitcase and a roomkey over to Raven, piling it on top of the pizzas and side goodies that he is holding. "If you need anything else during your stay, do not hesitate to ask. Also, your advance payment on the room is still good for another month."

Raven eyes the attendant before slowly saying, "Thank you" He then says quietly to Elsa, "Lets get to the room, I need to think about what just happened...in private probably." He then hurries off towards the room that is labeled on the room key that was given to him.

Shit just got real...

The room is indeed dusty when you enter, but still looks neat and presentable. The double bed's sheets and blankets are neatly tucked and folded in, the pillows laid out in an OCD fashion. Nothing else stands out while looking around, other than its abnormal level of cleanliness. Raven sets the food and soda down on a table as he sits on a chair facing the bed and lays out the suitcase before him. He notices a fingerprint scan security system built into the lock and firmly places a random finger onto it. It works! A clicking sound can be heard and the suit case becomes ajar. He opens it to find this....

The tablet is detachable as Raven soon finds out and behind it is a folded up uniform, a badge, a passport and a small notebook.

Raven eyes the attendant before slowly saying, "Thank you" He then says quietly to Elsa, "Lets get to the room, I need to think about what just happened...in private probably." He then hurries off towards the room that is labeled on the room key that was given to him.

Elsas demeanor turns icy cold.
"Yes, Mr. Warren . We should get to your room." she meets his eyes with an icy glare and whispers hateful "I wonder what we'll find."

When Raven gets to the room and opens up the suitcase, finding all of the different things and pauses. "What...? What is this... and my name is Nelson Warren? Who is that??" He then remembers Elsa's ice glare when his name was mentioned, he quickly turns towards her, meeting her glare with one of his own before he says softly yet with tone of stern authority, almost commanding. "Who am I."

"I don't know. Who ARE you? A 3 month room rental near THAT facility...I wonder if YOU didn't WORK there."

Raven looks at her, studying her face for any telling signs, before sighing. "I don't know anything, maybe I did work there." He looks back at the equipment, "Judging from this though... I think I leanred too much about what they were doing and was silenced for it. Changing me into what I am now for some reason..." Raven then sits on the bed, his hand over his face as he calms down, he lowers his hand to his knees and then sighs again, "Whatever the case may be the person I was before is dead, they killed him..." He stands up and faces Elsa, his face looks tired yet determined, "Lets do this again." He extends his hand towards her, "My name was Nelson Warren before I was killed by the corporation we just barely escaped from, I do not know why and I don't know how I am a part of them, judging from this equipment it seems I was someone they did not like. The name I was given after being born again is Raven, it is nice to meet you Elsa." As he waits for her response he also adds, "My main objective right now is to bring justice to the ones that ended my previous life as well as find out who I was and why they decided to do what they did to me. You have no stake in this fight, you have already almost died once for trying to help me, if you decide to walk away now there will be no judgment from me or anyone else... but if you decide to help me, I would greatly appreciate it."
