Did this happen again? I am still waiting on your initiative roll and your to hit roll for melee.

Gahhh!!! I refuse to post from my phone ever again. nothing but problems.

raven stands beside Elsa, ready to fight whatever comes out of the rooms.

Melee: 40
To Hit: Skill Check: [1d100] = 89

Initiative: Skill Check: [1d100] = 64

Is initiative won by lower or higher?

Two creatures appear from each of the three doors, four of which are close enough to attack. They all lunge towards Raven as he puts himself in front of Elsa, ready to strike; he does so with excellent percision as a swift uppercut with the fist sends the first creature to reach him flying towards a nearby wall, now dead. Raven is unable to shrug off the other three that are close by and two of them land very solid hits with their glowing green claws. The last attack was especially powerful and cut into him deep. Raven will need to make a coordination and fortitude check for balancing and poison. The last creature thankfully misses; however, more can be heard coming from the rooms.....

As Raven bravely fends off and takes in the creatures attacks, Permafrost is able to finish coating the walls with ice, as far as the first two doors ahead. Her attack is prepared and is ready to be executed on the next turn.

Battle Report:
1 out of 6 creatures slain
Raven takes -30 points of damage, needs to make a save versus losing his balance (coordination check) and one for poisoning (fortitude check)

When the next round of combat starts, please provide your intitiative roll along with your other rolls.

Initiative is won by higher numbers. The player in the group with the highest awareness adds that trait value to their score, in the case of close calls with enemy and player rolls.

Coordination Check: Skill Check: [1d100] = 88

Fortitude Check: Fortitude Check: [1d100+40] = 89+40 = 129

Apparently I am extremely tough, well balanced, and give poisons the finger daily

Raven takes in the creatures attacks, his wounds throbbing and stinging but he is able to keep his balance, he continues with the fight to keep their attention away from Elsa, striking at the creatures as they continue to swarm around him.

Initiative: [1d100] = 16, To Hit: [1d100] = 100

arent 100's a crit fail? Oh boy...

EDIT: So with my awareness score being the highest my initiative is actually 66?

All those checks were done properly and you are right about the initiative being 66, due to your awareness trait. 100's are critical fails.... You will be happy to know that it does not translate into a 'harmful' fumble. Instead, it will give all of the creatures a row step increase in their attacks as they take advantage of your now vulnerable state. See row step changes in the tables thread for more specifics.

Three creatures start to swarm Raven, two more come charging into his direction. Though he resisted the effects of the creature's poison laced claws, he feels weakened from taking all of those beatings and his fist's aim drops dramatically. Fortunately for him, Permafrost acts before the creatures do and performs her patented Ice Sickled Strike! The sickles of ice shoot out from the walls nearby and skewer three of the creatures in one go, effectively stopping the two charging creatures in their tracks. One of them tries to break the ice blocking their way but fails in its attempt, the second one, however, succeeds in a making an opening.

End of Round 2. The row step bonus for the creatures are still in effect as Raven's weakened state has not changed. There is only a little bit of ice left, enough for one more attack, if used in that regard. Go ahead and roll for round 3 guys and I will try to post an update early tomorrow morning. If I don't, it will be later in the day.

Permafrost Initiative [1d100+20] = 84+20 = 104

Permafrost will try and generate a wall of ice between them and the thing.

Permafrost Generate Ice [1d100+60] = 19+60 = 79

Raven takes a step back, giving enough room for Elsa to manipulate the ice without him being too much in the way, he see's the creature break past and continue towards him, Raven waits until the creature is near enough to him before sending his fist towards the creatures face.

Initiative: [1d100] = 3, To Hit: [1d100] = 55

Oh my, my initiative is sucking. Initiative is actually 53, changed the macro but keeping this roll since I already rolled it and all....

Here is the roll if you don't believe me; the creatures beat Elsa to the chase. [1d100] = 100 Their awareness is a base 20, so their intiative was 120. Both creatures reach the Raven and a wall of ice forms behind them afterwards. Raven, finding himself now inadvertedly cornered, strikes out, hoping to take down of the creatures. He does so with the same martial skill as before, but not before getting cut deeply again by some poisoned claws. (-15 damage) Roll up a fortitude check to see if the poison effects you this time. A coordination check as well for maintaining your balance. The last creature remaining slashes at the Raven, but cuts only air.

End of round 3.
Battle Results: A wall of thin ice was formed by Permafrost, trapping the creature in with Raven and her. Raven must make a roll versus poison (fortitude check) and losing his balance, getting knocked down (coordination check). Raven lost 15 more damage points.

Go ahead and roll for round 4 guys. I will be here all day tomorrow and will be up late tonight, so hopefully this will move forward more quickly now.

Coordination:Skill Check: [1d100] = 93
Fortitude Check: [1d100+40] = 23+40 = 63

Raven takes out the one Creature after it viciously attacks him, his wounds becoming more numerous and deepening.( Melee:150-45=105) He readies himself and goes for the last creature that made it behind the wall of ice, attempting to grab it and forcibly throw it to the ground, adding in strikes if the creature still moves from the impact.

Initiative: [1d100+50] = 46+50 = 96, To Hit: [1d100] = 97

I know we are fighting a bunch of things but I can't help but feel like I'm getting my ass kicked :D

"Damn it they're fast!" shouts Permafrost trying to stay out of reach.
She will use the wall of ice behind them to try and blast one, careful not to extend the blast into Ravens area.
crud. I did a wall because I just KNEW they wouldn't beat my initiative!

The burning of the claw's poison finally gets to Raven as he cringes in pain -5 points of damage. The creature is also very quick to act, feeling cornered itself [1d100] = 93, it lashes out with another claw attack dealing another -15 damage. No longer able to give poison the finger, Raven strives to finish the fight quickly and starts his combo chain, however, an ice blast sends the creature flying towards a nearby wall, frozen and now dead.

End of round 4, combat is over.
Battle Results: Raven takes a combined damage of -20 this round. The poison does not linger. All creatures in the vicinity are cleared, and Permafrost/Elsa's flawless blue skin remains unscratched. Good job Raven, you saved the day in your own way! ;)
