Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. I almost linked to that one, too.

I'm more a fan of the 1922 Nosferatu (and the 1979 remake), myself. Poor Bela seems almost cheesy by comparison.

Folks, I'm going to step out of this game.
Take care.

Re: OOC Discussion
I've put out a call for a new player. I'll NPC Iluq as needed for now, because y'all are vampire food without a cleric.
ETA: Well, we'll see what happens if we don't get a new player in a week or two. If Robert shifts to more of a healing mode and Vorkath takes care of any turning needs, you might do okay without the cleric, although it's certainly not optimal.

Re: OOC Discussion
I agree there we need the cleric.

Re: OOC Discussion
So far I'd have to say I think Robert should have been if he was not prior good friends with Agrippo and Tumbler as they are two favored companions so far to this personality of Robert.

Re: OOC Discussion
And I'm the new cleric! so hey everyone and I will do my best to heal you and shit! However based on how Strahd's meeting is going I don't think I'll do much undead turning

Yeah I think you guys a nutz thinking we can take down a Vampyr in his own home. This is going to be the place he is stronger in not weaker.

Re: OOC Discussion
Just a point of curiosity for me: wizards are limited to staves, daggers, darts, slings(?) and I think that's all ...
Yet the form for spear fencing is just about exactly the same as the form for staff fencing. Except the spear happens to have one pointy end that goes win where the staff ust thumps.
Is there really any basis for a wizard not being able to figure out what to do with a staff that has a pointy end? (e.g. like the broom handle stake that Tibbius whittled a couple nights ago?) Not that Tibby remembered to bring that along, but anyway ... just wondered.

Re: OOC Discussion
Man, the logic of wizard weapon restrictions is a deep dark hole down which mighty wizards fear to delve.
Basically, it all boils down to Gary Gygax wanting magic users to suck at armed combat.

Re: OOC Discussion
Well not all wizards fight like Gandalf you know. But I do agree the restrictions do appear to be a tad strange.

Re: OOC Discussion
Right now Iluq is thinking that we are all being stupid and falling into Strahd's trap. Hopefully his inspiring words will rouse everyone to action!

Re: OOC Discussion
I dunno man aren't u a drow lol technically evil by normal standards yet we've all trusted you. The way I see it if a Drow can be trusted who is to say Eva has not lied to us all along and Strahd actually is not the evil here but Eva herself is the evil one.

Re: OOC Discussion
Yeah but I'm just attempting to make a point. Not sure if anyone knows of Thibbledorf Pwent but he was turned into a vampyr and ended up doing good then committed vampyr suicide so not all vampyr are inherently evil you know just like not all Drow are evil.

Re: OOC Discussion
True and I believe that my character would agree with that, being a good Drow he knows that things are not always evil. His actions were mainly the result of him backing up his fellow comrade, whether he thought it was foolish or not he is not going to let his friend take on a vampyr alone while everyone tries discussing. And then things escalated
