012: Counterstrike In The Core

The group heads to a hanger bay designated as their destination by Roscoe. Sitting inside it is a 10,000-ton vessel that looks capable of landing on a world with atmosphere. It's on the big side for that, but isn't unheard of.

Standing outside it is a short woman with blonde hair and a cheeky grin. "Welcome! I'm Diane Vintner and I'll be your host for the next long while. Quarters have been prepared and we can leave anytime you're ready."

She'll escort you inside where you see the crew moving about their duties. For a ship this size, you'd imagine there are about a hundred and fifty crew, or there abouts. (139 in actuality.) There is a block of luxury staterooms that will more than accommodate you and the common area with a gourmet kitchen that has Roscoe nodding with approval. Standing by are ten stewards to see to the ten staterooms (5 single occupancy and 5 double occupancy). The seem alert and attentive.

Diane turns to you, her grin replaced by a serious expression. "We can depart whenever you like, and I can either brief you here or in the briefing room. What are your orders?"

"Is there a briefing room aboard? If we're under time pressure, it may be better to get underway now. If not, we can brief in the rooms here."

Since he's a little behind on the situation, Spicoli looks to the others. "How badly do we need to get on the road?"

William looks the ship over. "Does she have a name? Also we are under desperate time pressures. We need to get to Anther or Capitol in the Core sector as quickly as possible so we can possibly intercept or track Dulinor. We can brief on board once we get underway."

She pointed at one of the stewards. “Pass my orders to the bridge. We depart now.”

Even as she is saying that, the hatch opens and Walt saunters in. “Looks like I got here just in time.”

Someone has expressed an interest in joining, and that means Walt needs to be along in case that works out. You’ll likely have two new players to help get used to what is going on.
