Re: The Maiden's Bounty
Torvik willl take what little coin was found on the dead pirates and set it aside to give to the ships captain later on as the storm is more pressing. The command follows orders and goes below deck.

Re: The Maiden's Bounty
“The fair breeze blew,
The white foam flew,
And the forrow followed free.
We were the first to ever burst into the silent sea.” ~ Samuel Taylor Coleridge, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Those below hear the thunder and the crash of waves against the ship's bow for what seems nigh on several hours. Slowly, those storms seem to recede and the ship sails evenly onward.
Bryne takes her time to examine the scimitar, which to her eyes seems a good quality blade and from the looks and style of it perhaps eastern made. While she is examining it, a decoration of a dragon's head on the hilt clicks inward and a small compartment is revealed and within that compartment is this map... Torvik, Vari and Bramsey retreat to the Commander's cabin below. Torvik carefully counts out each coin found on the pirates while Vari and Bramsey watch. Bramsey says, "Seeing as we helped battle the pirates, shouldn't we each get a cut of the booty?" Vari snorts, "Battle? All I saw was your ass running from it." Bramsey sighs, "I think I acquitted myself quite well considering what we faced."
After giving the scimitar to Bryne, Athan moves to stand beside his brother in arms Dorian. He stands silent as Dorian gives thanks. Despite the storm they stay vigilant atop deck. And when the clouds clear and the sun's rays break through it illuminates them both. Several of the sailors clap them on the back, thanking them for Dorian's prayers, some perhaps believing the Valeman brought the sun at his command.
Nis goes below and finds Abaessa, Mediphera and De'Ath, who suddenly move forward to embrace their sister almost as if she has returned from a war, and in some ways she had. De'Ath takes her by the hand and says, "Tell me about the great battle and the pirates. Did they tremble in fear at your magical prowess and skill with your bow?" Her eyes shine in the candlelight of the small cabin.
Thena enters the brig area which smells of sweat, waste and desperation. The four sailors captured are in one of the tiny cells and sneer at your appearance. The only other cell holds the Mayfly. She looks up at you and arches one brow, "Come to gloat assassin?"
Mave nearly sleeps so worn out is she from the battle, but is roused from her drowsiness by the rapping on her cabin door. A thickly accented south seas accent says, "The Cap'n be seeing ya now. Should I fetch ta'others?"

Regarding Mayfly: You are safe for the moment, my words from earlier still stand... But, you never answered my question. Is it fate that our ships crossed or were you and your ilk sent?

Torvik "Might have a point. But that ain't how I do thin's I've showin resepct ta tha captain an this ship needs repairs so I say it goes ta him." the dwarf scolds Bramsey. "An Vari while yer point be valid we can't chide Bramsey. We're s'posed ta be settin an example an trainin the lad. Friendly jabs be fine but we can't be rude it's gotta be like it was wit Kade an Riskin." he corrects Vari.

Bryne
Bryne will hide the map and at her first chance to privately gather everyone will show them the map and ask if they think we should show the captain and his navigator.
