Arvil Shuugushmi is a native of Aashma C00056A-9, Iradu Subsector, Dagudashaag Sector 2602

He is slightly taller than average with a strong and dexterous build. Arvil has dark hair worn over his ears and brown eyes. His skin is darker as well representing his Vilani heritage. Arvil is considered good-looking and charismatic with a keen wit and well educated mind.

Born to a family of Belters, Arvid excelled in mathematics and music and was awarded a prestigious scholarship for music and languages at the University of Interstellar Harmony on nearby Likhukam. Graduating with honors in both the study of Vilani literature and Terran music composition, Arvid quickly became a very popular performer in the Core Sector. One of his works became a multi-Iridium seller gaining him a healthy income and widespread notoriety. When widespread food and air riots broke out on his own world Arvil was outspoken in both organizing relief and criticizing the existing government. With the help of friends and other concerned citizens he was directly involved in the overthrow of the government and the replacement by Imperial and Sector troops. Figuring that it was best to depart the scene rather than face arrest and probable death Arvil departed on a highly successful Sector wide performance. At the end of the performance amid threats to his life Arvil accepted a position as steward and entertainer aboard a passenger liner to lay low for a while.

I had a smuggling event in my 6th term. I could have done some gun running for your revolution if that matches up. Also had a bankruptcy in my 4th term, maybe invested poorly in your project after your iridium seller that fell through?

Maybe you smuggled me and other survivors of the leadership and brought in food and guns. I like that one.

He grew up on crappy planet in a large, poor, family with bad parents and a chaotic homelife. He won the genetic lottery both physically and mentally, and did well at school, but found pure book learning boring. After failing to get into university, almost on a whim (and desperate to get away from home) he visited the local navy recruitment centre. He was in the Navy (engineering) for 6 terms and decided to retire while he still had his health.

Profession Skills.
There seems to be a noted increase in Mongoose titles of the use of Profession [whatever] as a default roll for the minor task sets of a given job. For example, an naval NPC might have Profession [Navy Spacehand] for all the ticky-tack tasks... knowing where the nearest arms locker on 'x' class of ship is or how to fill out IN paperwork properly, that sort of thing.
Is that something we're gonna use in this game?

Not for connections at the start of play. Skills only.

We can use experience for bumping skills and stats later, though. I'll post the House Rules for that shortly.
