Brick

Brick grabs Durrant and pulls him behind cover if he isn't already and tries to stop the bleeding.

"Durrant is down I need help!"

Edel

Hides from the ranged attacks as best as he can, and tries to pry the other bracer free.

I think that is my only action for now - can't really contribute much to this fight.

Memorial Garden: Cemetery breakout.

Memorial Gardens: random allotment 1-3 vs cemetery intruders [1d6]=1 Gardens delight: random cemetery option: [1d8]=1
Branches and weeds bend and move, blocking the path behind the last person in the party. To return the way they came, a party would have to cut through this overgrowth.
roots and brambles spread outward, thickening the density of undergrowth and briar patches that separate the path from the Crypt. To re-enter the smoky crypt, not that you would wisely choose to do so, a person would need spend some time hacking their way through.

Ominously, the roots and vines stretch towards the immobile corpses, begining to cover them too with a layer of crimson turning leaves that seem to leech the spilled blood from the corpses. Another sign then, that the Garden is no place to loiter about.

Loiter characters do though and for this the characters may get punished ...

Brick, rather than attacking in melee with his superior strength bonus or even hurling a javelin at the line of crossbowmen, chooses to drag the body of Durrant out of the firing line and behind the felled tree trunk.

There Vennar cradles the bleeding Durrant, placing holy symbol upon the Mage's wounds and invoking the healing virtue of his God, +7hp. Durrant resuscitates, none the worse for his two recent wounds.

Edel dons the Witchdoctor Mask, a most scary effigy and reaches for the Orc's amputated limb, taking the enchanted bracer off the arm and pairing it with the other vambrace. Bearing in mind the mage already wears enchanted Bracers of Defences, identifying the similar artisan craft work and arcane signatures is an easy task.

He shelters behind the trunk too rather than advancing to the crossbowmen with his new terror inducing aura and his token: whip which he can crack as expertly as any warrior Lord. Those pesky Orcs will have to wait another round to feel the harsh laceration of his anger and ire.

Galadria & Jacupo continue to fight the Orcs in the toolshed. They combine to slay their opponent, the dwarves Olleg & Elwita combine and extra prowess from racial prejudice against Orcs turn their rage to a killing blow.

Jacupo: Morningstar melee: [1d20]=15 [2d4]=3Olleg: shield bash [1d20]=2 melee [1d20+1]=11+1=12 [1d8+1]=3+1=4Elwita: broadsword melee [1d20+1]=6+1=7 [2d4+1]=6+1=7Galadria: mace melee [1d20]=20 [1d6]=6

The unchallenged crossbowmen simply line up to target opponents again, aiming for those behind the fallen tree. With Durrant being prone, they target Vennar, Edel & Brick

Orc crossbowmen: [1d20]=16 [1d6+1]=6+1=7 [1d20]=19 [1d6+1]=5+1=6 [1d20]=18 [1d6+1]=5+1=6

Vennar with superior mail, shield and cover managing to dodge the shaft aimed at him. (Disregarding your Dex AC bonus as you spell-cast, the cover gives you AC1

Edel likewise cowers for cover, checking out the Witchdoctor's Bracers against his own and thinking they might have a greater imbuement, he quickly changes the pair over. It makes no odds however as he is shafted true by the accurate crossbowman, wounding him for -6hp.

Brick, like his cleric comrade, benefits from enchanted armour and a large shield. The combination with the trunk cover bonus taking him to AC0 and the Orcs THAC0 is 19+, so he barely escapes within a hair's breadth of getting hit too.

The crossbowmen are about to be overrun so they drop crossbows and unsheath Polearms to brace themselves from being overwhelmed, retreating behind the barricade of cabinets and furnishings in the toolshed chamber.

Olleg: 15/33hp
Brick: 18/18hp
Mortar: 10/10hp
Vennar: 17/19hp.
Galadria 16/17hp
Durrant: 4/7hp
Edel: 5/11hp (8/14hp with Pallas the Owl:
3/3hp)
Elwita: 12/54hp.
Jacupo: 7/15hp

Spells available:

Mortar: DM & RM, any 0/4 x 1st, 0/3 x 2nd

Mortar eventually returns to the others, sneaking into their area where he tries to get around to the side or back of one of the orcs.

If he finds a favorable place to attack, possibly at one of their wounded, he will do so before quickly darting away again, if possible.

Staff Attack [1d20]=14 Damage [1d6]=1 :?

Brick

With Durrant safe, Brick readies his sword and with a scream he charges the Orc crossbowmen.

Bastard Sword [1d20+2]=7+2=9 to hit [2d4+5]=4+5=9 damage
Plus anything for the charge.

Edel

After his curiosity (greed?) for magical items has taken its toll in the shape of a nasty would, Edel saps into action, aiding his companions as best as he can with his whip.

Want to help by attacking those orcs engaged with Galadria, Jacupo, Olleg or Elwita.

Whip Quaal Feather Token [1d20+1]=10+1=11 Damage [1d6+1]=5+1=6

11 should hit AC1 I think.
