Found it! :D

OOC: Thanks, I could have looked it up, but I figured you'd remember. :) So, 1d8 + Bard's Bonus of 5 + Bonus of 3.

If any of you want to make the roll go for it. If I don't hear from you I'll make that roll for you.

Roll 1d8+8 on the Carousing Outcomes Table (p. 93)

You'll get XP based on the roll and perhaps have an special Outcome. I'll be making secret rolls for whether you have an Outcome and what that is. Just what the Outcome is may vary from what is listed in the book. ;)

PS. I will quite likely be creating new Carousing Event and Carousing Outcome Tables both expanding choices and altering what Outcomes may occur, at some point.

A decidedly tipsy Vesper cautions Draven "Now, don't let me go wandering off...".

Foreshadowing! ;) :D :SAN:

Might it be better / more easy to manage the chaos if you roll for us in case folk end up with the same story result / predicament and/or there's some other opportunity for "crossover" cum further mayhem?

Please roll for me and, as per last time around, please feel free to drop Vesper (or her clothes! ) into whatever / whichever / any which way but loose scene that seems the most ridiculous or comedic.

As a bystander to this debauchery, depravity, and dissipation − the suspense is killing me now!

Each of you has a 12.5% probability of getting out of that Wizard's Tower after nicking a nice souvenir (and, coincidentally while our newest Party is somewhere underneath it!) You'll get +6 XP and keep the treasure with no further risk or consequence, according to the table.

But you have three times that chance, 37.5%, of winding up on the west side of town, inside the Duke's Keep, with a hot magic item in your hands. If there are more than one of you, your chances of getting out might improve. If you happen the fastest PC, or got a treasure roll of 90 (Potion of Invisibility), you might be the winner and be able to enjoy your new level outside of Slateholm gaol!

😆

OOC: Okay, I'll make the rolls and then we'll see what we shall see...
1d8+8 on Carousing Outcome Table

At some point the group of six breaks up into pairs and each pair has a little adventure.

Tinu (+5XP) and Vesper (+5XP):
Tinu and Vesper find themselves witnessing an archery contest and Vesper, being Vesper, can't help but insert the less than sober Tinu into it! The contestents are two members of the City Watch and a member of the Adventurers' Guild by the name of Simon. You've never met Simon, before, but he's wearing the patch, so he's a member. The contest was meant to be two vs. two shooting at targets at Far Range, but the second adventurer...Daisy has failed to show up for some reason.

Vesper volunteers Tinu as Simon's second. The contest is a close one for 2 rounds, and it comes down to the final shot on the 3rd round...Tinu's. Vesper, making a big production of it, bestows a "kiss for luck" on Tinu before she shoots the final time.

Now, whether it was some sort of trickery or pure talent this shot by Tinu's was the best one of the contest and the Adventurer's Guild came out victorious! The 10 gold pieces Tinu won were consumed in more drink and rich food back at the Trident and Shield before the exhausted Vesper and Tinu stumbled off to bed.

Simon is now a firm alley of both Tinu and Vesper.

Gaurbal (+5XP) and Draven (+5XP)
At some point, Gaurbal and Draven find themselves in a quiet tavern somewhere in town....they can't remember exactly where it was...drinking and wondering what to do next when a small thin man with the face of a rat strolls in. They have both met him before, it's Lucius Sighe, the Duke's Tax Collector. It isn't long before Draven has an idea. Seeing as Sighe is known for cheating Adventurers and anyone else he can out of their hard earned gains, maybe he should suffer a little humiliation himself.

Whispering his idea to Gaurbal, the two chuckle and decide to try it!

Strolling up to the bar where Sighe is haranguing the bartender Draven bumps into Sighe while Gaurbal deftly detaches his coin purse from his belt. After Draven apologizes and Gaurbal discretely tosses the purse into a dark corner of the quiet bar the pair return to their table with drinks and wait. Several members of the City Watch come into the bar to drink while they wait.

When it comes time for Sighe to pay for his drinks, he finds his purse gone and finds he can't pay! The bartender calls to the Watchmen who come over. It seems Sighe is no more popular with the City Watch as he is with anyone else, so they tell him he'll have to pay or be arrested for the thief of the drinks. Sighe starts to get belligerent, does the "Do you know WHO I AM?" routine, escalates to curses and threats, and when that doesn't work throws a punch. Now he's certainly going to spend the rest of the night in the cells! As the Watchmen take Sighe out, Draven calls one over and nods toward the purse in the corner and winks, saying, "I think that guy dropped that when he came in, but I'm not sure." He gets a grin and a wink back...and now Draven and Gaurbal have an alley in the City Watch. It's a shame they didn't catch his name, but they'll remember him and he will remember them.

Galreth (+5XP) and Elizabeth (+6XP)
Maybe being drunk as a Lord is a good thing for Galreth because being so lead to him becoming acquainted with a Lord. Arm in arm Galreth and Elizabeth were strolling along a street the third evening of their debauch, separated now from the others, when a carriage came rolling past right through a puddle of foul water. Up came a splash completely soaking Elizabeth to the bone!

With a shout, Galreth called invective on the carriage and all who rode her! Surprisingly, the carriage stoped and its rider alighted and came back to the pair to apologize. Neither of the pair recognize the man, but do recognize the clothing and manners as considerably higher class than either of them.

Both of our adventurers tongues and inhibitions loosened by far too much drink over far too little time react, not with belligerence, but with charm....charming the Lord. Later reflecting upon it Galreth realizes he didn't even have to use his Charm Person spell to do it as the Lord was more than a bit impaired himself. He invites you both back to his home to dry off, clean up.

When you arrive at the Palace on the west side of the Market Square, you both figure out this must either be the Duke or a member of his family. You soon learn that, this is Duke John's younger brother Lord Percy! While Elizabeth is hustled off by a maid to wash and have her gown cleaned, Galreth and Percy settle in for drinking and conversation.

Soon, Galreth finds himself in a contest with Percy to see who can pitch the most coppers into a bowl from across the room. If you miss you have to take another drink of whiskey. A very staid butler is the judge counting each coin as it settles into the bowl with the first to 20 being the winner of the game! As neither Galreth or Percy is at their best this is going to take a while, and many drinks will be happening as it goes.

Meanwhile Elizabeth is shown to a room with a large tub filled with pleasantly scented warm water and provided with a clean white shift to put on after she washes. Her gown is taken away to be cleaned and left alone she enjoys the tub. Some time later she rises, dries herself and puts on the shift. As the maid hasn't returned yet, she doesn't know exactly what to do, but being more curious than cautious right now begins to move around the bath inspecting things...POP! A door where once there was only a wall opens and ever curious Elizabeth ventures down the stairs behind this secret door. With a bit of alarm she sees that the secret door slides shut behind her and as she can't open it, decides down is the only way she can go.

Holding a candle from the bath to light her way she goes down the circular stairs all the way to a large room at the bottom of the stairs. There she finds herself inside something of a treasure trove. Other than the doorway by which she entered, there is one more, an iron door that looks more solid than any she ever remembers seeing before. There are a number of boxes, chests, and shelves with various small jars, bottles and other items. Looking over the treasure she recognizes several of the labeled containers. Potions of Strength, Healing, Invisibility, and Tongues. Looking around again she feels magic coming from a dusty box that is buried under other things. Opening that box she sees a fine dagger that fairly reeks of magic.

She is wondering what to do when she hears footsteps approaching! She can't be found down here, she thinks, so takes one of small bottles drinks a Potion of Invisibility. As the iron door opens she blows out the candle and turns toward it. A pair of guards enter carrying torches and armed with swords. They look right at her as she cringes, but to them the room is empty. She slips past them into the corridor beyond and makes her way up the the servant's stairs passing guards and servants until she can slip through a green door back into the main part of the palace. There she ends the effects of the spell and blinks in surprise as she realizes she still has that dagger in her hand. Hiding it quickly in the pocket of her shift she creeps along the corridor until she unexpectantly hears the sound of Galreth's voice behind a wooden door.

Elizabeth opens the door and steps inside to find Galreth and Lord Percy tossing coppers into a glass bowl while a a man, who from his clothing, must be one of the Butlers to the house stands beside the bowl.

"Ha! I win!" shouts Galreth as his coin goes into the bowl. The Butler and Lord Percy though have turned to look at Elizabeth standing in the doorway in her bare feet wearing only a shift.

"No one came with my clothing so I left to look for them?" she says smiling uncertainly.

With no little embarrassment, for everyone, a replacement for Elizabeth's gown is found and she is assured that her gown will be returned after it is thoroughly cleaned. Percy clamps Galreth on the back and tells him that he now owns him a favor, "Ask for anything at any time and it will be yours, if it is mine to give."

Shortly after that, our two adventurers find themselves alighting from a fine carriage in front of the Guild Hall where both of them decide they should go to bed and try to sleep off the past three days!

The next morning Galreth awakens remembering that now a Lord named Percy owes him a favor, but wonders if it was the whiskey speaking or not. Elizabeth awakens feeling a pain in her side and discovers why, a fine looking dagger is poking her through a shift. It is only after eating a breakfast, the first actual proper meal she remembers having in the past three days, that she remembers where the dagger came from, "Oh MY!"

{Elizabeth}

Elizabeth's eyes widen. She looks around furtively, and pulls out the dagger. She studies it for a moment, her fingers running along the flat of the magnificent blade, and hefting it in her hand. She gnaws on her lower lip, and mutters to herself. "I should give this back. I should really give this back. Madeera, how would that even work? 'Hey, so I like stumbled into your secret treasure room, I mean really can you blame a gal? You're the ones who put a secret door to it in your bathing chamberes! Hehehehe, umm anyway. So I took a dagger and uhh, here you go--Oh, the stocks? And a flogging? Umm, I'd uhh, really rather not. Oh I don't have a choice? Oh, well poo.'"

"Young lady, I don't know what your talking about, you have always had that blade as long as I remember, I saw it, even when people were looking at your tattoos's and ... other things. Keep it, and if you run into trouble. I will tell the noble git to forget about it as my favor.

Now more food and water, tomorrow, we go into the sewers."

{Elizabeth}

Elizabeth jumps a little in her seat, and her face turns red. "Oh, umm. Yes. Right. It was a gift from Sister Marie before she sent me West. A girl needs to be able to defend herself, and you know. Powerful mages often have such things. Umm, other things? You know what, nevermind. I don't want to know. I'm just going to assume you're talking about my ankles."

Draven was bleary eyed... and hungover... if not possibly still drunk - but at least he was in his own bed. Vesper had "wandered off" last night and Tinu disappeared at the same time. Despite his best efforts to herd that particular pair of "Shadow Cats" he was sure he would somehow be blamed for their nocturnal "diversion".

A flutter in the drapes still just vainly holding back the invasion of morning proper told him his window was open... odd. The back of his mind unfairly demanded "What was another word for a little breeze?" the rest of his mind answered "Hangover!" but then substituted "Dreaming drunk" as he now watched "himself" enter his own bedroom from the common area... using his key. The key gone from the side table and replaced by... a pile of clothes... topped by a very impressive hat.

Vesper, wearing his clothes, pulls back his hood from features ablaze with the delight of "mischief achieved" and sets to unbuckling his longsword. "By the Shadows being male's easy! I just grunted and pointed my way through whole conversations". She puts down the tray that smells of "survival and recovery" and, as she takes off Draven's tunic, offers explanation only by way of serial statements. "I'm still drunk and I'll not risk that outside ledge again until I'm sober. I hate hangovers but know that one cure is to find a "morning person". She gives a wicked smile as she adds "Oh, just now "you" were rude to the barman who didn't pay me enough attention last night but at least my disguise protects your reputation from association with mine. So, now you owe me - I am ruthless and plan to collect...".

Vesper attempts to both cheat her way out of her hangover and find out if Draven really is a "morning person" as claimed...

(OOC: It seems all that flirting in the bowyers/dungeon/downtime wasn't entirely for nothing. At least he finally got that "nibble"... of croissant! Now, I know we've done "trained in oration" near to death but have we used "performing with advantage" yet? Oh my, was that a double "double entendre"... ;) :) )

Draven is both a morning person and cheating is all in the eye of the beholder, it seems, for he has his own tricks. ;)
